  15. When the crowds stop coming the mountains close. With small crowds and discounted lift tickets and the majority of the customers, season passholders ski areas don't make the kind of revenue in the spring that they make in mid winter. If early spring is abnormally cold and crowds show up some resorts may be open for a bonus weekend. Killington and Sunday river seem to be the only resorts that try to stay open into May. Most shutdown around early to mid April which really isn't that bad.
  16. The info some factual and some anecdotal can be found in this thread. http://forums.alpinezone.com/showthread.php/135720-This-weather-is-hurting-the-majority-of-the-ski-business/page6 Blue mountain is doing just fine business wise.
  17. I only rode it once in 8th grade when the lines for the Main Street chair Burma chair vista chair and challenge chair were uber long. Took me several tries as it was the first t-bar I had ever been on and very tricky. I prefer poma lifts. I clue for those goobers with poor memory's is it was called the Raceway T-Bar and the length was 1,000 feet long compared to 1200 feet for the vista chair and 2883 feet for the Main Street and Burma chairs. I believe the challenge chair was 3300 feet long before it was extended into the valley.
  18. One interesting thing I read is that alot of New England ski resorts have lost business the last month or so due to harsh cold and snow. Non die hards aren't willing to brave the treacherous roads and below zero temperatures and have been staying home. Apparently Wachusett in Mass is down 40% during the last 3 weeks. Also there was rain on XMAS and rain Sunday if MLK weekend.
  19. I hope you brought in your tropical plants yuk yuk yuk
  20. Toast nice times last night!!!!!
  21. Well I guess there was never a T-bar then.
