  1. Yeah but you have your business as well. I always thought teachers work 180 days a year. Maybe that figure takes into account sick and vacation days.
  2. Didnt you buy a gift card there? The runs at blue are the shortest I can tolerate.
  3. Jack Frost is in a microclimate. Our artist lives in Tamaqua...which is on the other side of the Blue mountain a little west of Blue and he said 4-5" of snow fell.
  4. The last and only time I worked a 12 hour shift was when I did telemarketing in the summer when I was in college. I worked 9-9 Monday-Friday and 9-3 on Saturdays pretty much to rack up a big check so I wouldn't have to work the rest of the year. Now I usually work 8-3 Monday-Thursday and 8-12 Fridays which is plenty..plus the occasional evening or weekend appointment.
  5. Why would they lie???? My friend who lives in Tobyhanna said 6"
  6. Mad river glen received 31" they open tomorrow.
  7. Prob Friday afternoon. Maybe tomorrow evening as well.
  8. I heard the snow up north is surfy!!!! Wow just wow of do any of y'all like the Beach Boys!!! I know that if everybody had an ocean across the USA that everybody'd be surfing across the USA...good thing I'm a skier cause I'm not that good at swimming. SMHerman!!!
  9. Mondays at blue are dead..Fridays are pretty dead early and can become moderately busy in the afternoon.
  10. Of course and 24 hours a day as well.
  11. Wow just wow people are shaking their Herman's everywhere lol
  12. Hopefully before the holidays. Looks a little thin still on homestretch. Maybe some snowmaking tomorrow night could make this weekend a possibility...no real addition terrain though just tuts lane to connect the top of the six pack to lazy and Main Street and shuttle homestretch and the falls. The six pack will eliminate lift lines though.
  13. Loose and frozen granular with a skiff of new snow. The second I get home from work I'm taking a nap. Gotta rest up for karaoke later. I have no real desire to ski tonight. Super windy wah
  14. Elk might get a few inches tonight.
  15. Something like that.
  16. Sometimes I do...I tend to poop more later in the day than in the morning.
  17. On a weekend or day I have off work I typically wakeup...sometimes smoke a bowl or jerkoff...sometimes shower if I have time. Sometimes stop for a Mickey dees sausage biscuit, hash brown and apple juice on the way. Get to Blue around 730am...boot up..wait around for lifts to open..ski a run..ride the lift..ski another run..ride the lift...repeat that process for two to three hours..sometimes less if its crappy sometimes more if really good..then either go home or drink in the lot. Then when I get home I post a report on PASR then SUJOPO
  18. I really don't understand the question Romeo
  19. Platekill received 9 inches. Looking like 2-5" will fall in the poconos this afternoon and tonight. Snow showers now in Allentown and brisk.
  20. That's alot of money to spend for a new skier. Seasonal rentals seem like a good plan.
  21. Sweet and the backside of bear creek is where they filmed the movie The Goonies!!!
  22. Buckmans ski shop.
  23. Two to seven days a week...I've been slacking so far this season. Only at 6 days.
  24. We get alot more rain than snow in this part of PA...has nothing to do with Obama. I sometimes wish I was poor so Obama would give me free stuff. Whenever I see someone with a crapass smartphone, I either ask them what kind of iPhone it is or,"is that an Obama phone" yuk yuk yuk Some flurries in the air.
  25. http://www.powder7.com/Kastle-MX83-Skis-183cm-New-Flat-2014/for-sale/?utm_source=GoogleBase&utm_medium=paid&gclid=CjwKEAiA-5-kBRDylPG5096R8mASJABqEdm4eXllSP-EAwuyuyrGxWPco-7cUAWjRLfc-D51aTFxxRoC2wDw_wcB As for the appropriate gear...depends what kind of skier you are...at Blue I just like bombing down stuff and do I minimal amount of turning because the terrain does not warrant much turning...when I'm at a bigger mountain with steeps and trees that changes. I did notice last season when I was on my Mantras that I was making a whole lot more turns and the same as when I used to ski on Atomic race skis...different slopes for different folks.
