Hey all, I'm back from a another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at 730am and the temperature was in the low teens. In the house were NMSki, Atomic Jeff, Ryan, MBike Mike, ZZSlope, AngryHugo, Johnny Law, VTMark, Matt-Edge, -Dan, Justo, Toast, Rose and Ty. Typical all PASR first six pack of the day. Razers was closed from the start so challenge was skied first. It was pretty good not as good as yesterday cause it had weird little ridges kind of like ruffles potato chips. Nightmare to Dreamweaver was pretty nice with some skiffs of fresh manmade here and there much improved over yesterday. Switchback was more solid than yesterday not as good and upper Main Street was magnificent. Toast was claiming lazy was sweet but I boycotted lazy for the rest of the season as I've skied enough of that run. It turns out I did ski it later...stay tuned as things get spicy in the next part of the report. Crowds this morning were on the busy side of moderate. Around 8:55AM while riding the 6 pack it came to a sudden stop...then started..sudden stop backwards..this happened a few more times then finally it started up again. Back down at the base and the six pack was now closed and what seemed like a massive amount of people were waiting for the quad to open. Different options for accessing the loser lifts were thought up including taking the shuttle but the best Route seems to be skating uphill to the learning area..through turnstyle up magic carpet(my first ever..and I was nervous getting on and off)..up the learning triple(first time I ever rode a triple at Blue) then a walk into employee parking lot and up about 30 metal steps then down a few and voila in the Burma lift line.. Up Main Street chair and down a pretty nice main street then down a lazy mile which had nice snow but was slow to the falls up the quad and I finished out with a pretty slick switchback. Back to the lot and it was quite the gathering of PASRs then a little after noon ended up at the Covered bridge inn for pierogies and wings. In total I rode five different lifts today at Blue and usually I just ride the six pack was interesting to say the least.

Hey all, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 730am with a temperature of 9 degrees and moderate winds. In the house were Johnny law, toast, Ryan, rose, justo, MBike mike, Nastar Glenn, Peter(racer guy we met last week) and Rodney. Got first civilian chair and first down challenge which was nice firm cord and the fastest and steepest skiing I've experienced this season. Switchback was the run of the day. Very nice and I skied it four times. Dreamweaver was not that good kind of small cookies. Nightmare was not open yet. We did a run all the way over to Burma and back and it had nice snow and not many people. Crowds were moderate with short liftlines because the quad and six pack were both running. Word was that the lodges were busy due to below zero windchills. First day of the season for my balaclava and lots of people with ice in their beards. I did a few more challenge runs and it was firm but edge able but very dark. I skied until 10:15am then hungout in the lot had a few beers in the now mid teens temperatures that felt fairly pleasent with four layers including bottom underarmor which I rarely wear. Also of note was out first chairlift ride a ski patroller went under the lift offtral on lower sidewinder and ate shit. At least when PASRs poach shit we don't flounder. Also everybody is missing Root..I wonder if he's back from Vermont yet. See everybody tomorrow AM..supposed to start out colder than today but temperatures are expected to rise faster.

I don't know might be cause you are shaped like a boomerang with your scoliosis. I've had black people hate on me for wearing flip flops in the bar in the summer. Had me SMH shaking my Herman...sorry I don't own any Air Jordan's...I'm holding out for the self lacing Back 2 the Future shoes... Anyway thought you were 5'11...anyway I heard someone yell timber and no tree fell down so that means its going down. -

It's crazy that Main Street is too steep for AJeffs SL skis!!! Johnny law you're 6 feet tall??? I don't know about that...hmmmm..as for being 175 pounds, that's the main reason you are so slow!!! I was 187 pounds 11 years ago. -
Nice report!!! What kind of pierogies at CBI...looking like the PASRs are gonna invade the CBI around noon on Sunday.. Stay tuned!!!

Long skis truck short skis suck...who am I kidding my Shiros are only 193s...and my longest skis ever were 198 K2 El Caminos...the race head we met this past Saturday has 213 downhill boards that he plans on taking down razors sometime this season on an uncrowded day...that would be fun. My Mantras at 96 underfoot feel like toothpicks compared to the shiros. I was finally on them this last weekend. -

Nice I hope the roads are bad enough to cancel work. -
I always wished lodges were heated at like 58 degrees. They are always too warm and I get mall balls.

Weekend roll call thread 1/10-1/11...
GrilledSteezeSandwich replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Race team usually has razors from like 8:10am-10:30am on weekends. On weekdays they have it a couple nights of the week early evening like 4-7ish And it's never a guarantee that razors is open early for the public. Sometimes the rope is always across it when the six pack nears the peak and occasionally we get more than one early run on it. One thing that is not in our favor is that the clock by the six pack is a few minutes behind the actual time so the 8:00am opening is closer to 8:05am at least the last few weeks..
