The scanners were a little off today..maybe a tiny lag...people struggling through them fo sheezy

Hey all, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived in the lower lot at 7:30am and the temperature was in the low teens under clear sky's. Not many people in the house early on. Just me, MBike mike, Atomic Jeff, TP4, PARidgeRider and Johnny Law. Paradise was ok...but lazy mile was better with some nice new silky manmade on the right side. I skied lazy and Main Street the most and Main Street was pretty smooth and not to many people on it. Crowds grew as the morning progressed but no real lift lines. A racer dude..Paul..I believe joined us for a few runs. He's a masters racer and had a pretty sick helmet. We also rode the lift with a hatless/helmet less snowboarder. The snowmaking cannons were assaulting Burma, Razors, Challenge, and some other areas. Maybe razors for the weekend but I don't imagine it will be good for a few more days as the snow needs to cure. Challenge could happen this weekend some big piles forming and lots of people out today for tubing. I skied from 8-1030..then hungout in the parking lot another two hours. I just drank water but enjoyed the sun and slightly warmer temperatures. I'll be back tomorrow AM should be good.

ILikeIceCream is a rollercoaster enthusiast he might enjoy the mountain coaster as two riders can squeeze into a single sled nuts to butt.

I'm glad to hear that conditions are better. Looking forward to skiing tomorrow morning. Gonna be cold dress like an astronaut.

Wow I figured it was more families and my raging party people. I haven't drank on New Year's Eve in years. QFT!!! It's supposed to rain and mix this weekend. Won't be crowded.

I know Blue is having a tubing party until 1am. I don't know if there will be fireworks. If you wanna see fireworks at midnight I know downtown Allentown is having them tonight and a small outside ice skating rink as well. 7th and Hamilton.

In years past the 2nd didn't count as a holiday just like the 24th never counts as a holiday.

People still ski at Camelback??? The place is terrible. I hope Blue can stay open longer than then again this year so I don't have to go there.

Hey all, It's almost New Years...I'm off work Thursday and Friday and plan on skiing at Blue the next four days...anybody else. Looks like its gonna be cold the next day or two which should keep the snowmaking cannons cranking...see everybody this weekend!!! Remember 8am opening tomorrow..830am opening Friday!!!

Open everyday except XMAS and New Years and no pregnant ones this year and I will say that the BMDI waitresses never age. Just be something in the water.

Whatever its just money...$500 is nothing in the scheme of things..just keep buying tickets whenever you wanna ski. Those two six packs should last you till the early bird season pass deal.

Ice covered slop doesn't matter that much for the long game. Pumping out manmade snow is. Manmade snow is much more resilient than what falls from the sky. Any precipitation that falls this weekend is expected to be light to moderate as well. It's irrelevant with the cold for the next three days combined with next weeks cold.

I think their plan which they have executed was to resurface the existing 18 trails that are open and then expand terrain terrain. Razors edge is the priority due to the race team and scheduled races. Blue is a snowmaking powerhouse. If it was supposed to be 70 degrees this weekend with a chance of meatballs they'd still blow snow balls to the walls...and you better believe I'd be walking around with a hoagie roll making a meatball sangwich...

Local ski areas should just have an honor system for passes. Would save alot of money on scanners and turnstyles. Most people are honest and for the small percent who try to steal services will be faced wih their conscience plus Santa Claus will give those coal.

I see Sunday 44 chance of rain but cool again next week. This seems like better than normal weather for this time of year. Please be cold enough so blue can get more terrain open and Moe Ghoul will consider skiing Blue if he gets a free voucher.

This? Crazy that it wasn't a given to have the quad open on a holiday. Anyway I've got work tomorrow. See everyone bright and early New Years morning.
