  1. Sara no need to be hostile and tell people to fuck off. This is a friendly community. The wrist band thing seems silly but you're still skiing so whatever. I don't think anything posted on this site has any relevance on whether or not montage mountain blew snow for a few hours the other day. I'm just guessing that the amount of money they would spend doing a 3-4 day snowmaking assault on the mountain was more than the potential early season business. Oh well Blue has a 3-4 foot base. You should come down to blue mountain the true mountain next weekend for some November turns and to meet some PASRs.
  2. Some people do..I have a few times...pretty nice to have that option.
  3. Put that in your half pipe and smoke it yuk yuk yuk
  4. Blue being pretty far south has nothing to do witht their opening, with the cold weather we just had a mountain in Virginia could have opened. Their opening had to do with their powerful snowmaking system and their willingness to wanna open the early. How do you know Montage watched this site like a hawk? Anyway there's a small chance Sno could open in like. 2 weeks.
  5. Have fun. I gotta work the next three days. Could be nice spring conditions the next few days.
  6. Congrats on being in the morning call article!!!
  7. Wow looks like we are the sweet spot. With 8" new. Everything at Blue is fair game!!!
  8. Hey all, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot at 7:28am and there were a few PASRs already in the house and a temperature in the mid 30s under mostly cloudy sky's. In the house today were Root, AngryHugo, Atomic Jeff, Toast, VtMark, TP4, Justo, MBike Mike, junior, Rose, Ryan, Matt, Matt, GahSkier George, slightly overweight MIlF and GSS groupie, her husband and the real kevinThomas. First run at 8am wasn't as frantic as yesterday with less people. Grooming was nice early on and upper Main Street was uber smooth.lazy was also nice early on and with the warm temperatures the snow was softer than yesterday which meant no boilerplate at the final turn. The Chute still had some bite and I Hollywood'd down that with little short turns which pissed off the people behind me. I didn't ski a ton perhaps 10-11 runs by 10am then hungout in the parking late at least as long as I skied Drank a few cold one with some PASRs and AngryHugo was busting some dance moves for the passing cars and even a car car that looked like a shoe that toast snapped a picture of. It felt a little surreal that after waiting 7 months to ski, I was right back out the next day..a great feeling. Looks warm the next few days and then a potential snowstorm on Thanksgiving. See all y'all Black Friday and next weekend.
  9. Yup get the warm days out of the way.
  10. Yeah I worked security at one of his concerts in college and got paid $30. Also did Maceo Parker...smelled like a skunk in that concert. There was a ford explorer who we saved a spot for today at Blue. My friend Ben used to have a Ford explorer sport 2 door. Was probably like a 97 and it was pretty nice.
  11. Yeah people skied in the trees and right under the Main Street chair between come around and chute. Was rowdy
  12. Nice Barb. Looks like full on winter.
  13. Nice pictures toast. I have that post skiing afterglow..the euphoria of knowing its ski season combined with the endorphins and adrenaline is why we do it. Damn it feels good to be a skier.
  14. Maybe the learning area of the valley. Homestretch needs a couple more nights of snowmaking and now it's supposed to be 70 degrees on Monday for Allentown and only marginal snowmaking temperatures late in the week. Will likely be the same terrain as today for at least a week and a half
  15. There can be multiple individual reports for the same day. I think we were typing out reports at the same time.
  16. Oh I fucked up the title it's really the 22nd. Today is prob the coldest it will be for at least a few weeks..Blue really delivered on the snowmaking. As several people mentioned, they out on a show.
  17. Hey all, I'm back from Blue mountains earliest opening day. I arrived at the upper lot at 7:30am and it was 17 degrees and many PASRs were already booted up. In the house were Johnny Law, Toast, Atomic Jeff, Ryan, Slim, Rodney, slightly overweight MILFs husband, JFBB-Dan, PARidge, Guitar, TinyMoose, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn and prob a few others I missed. At exactly 8am general manager and reality TV star Jim Daily announced we could ski and it was a mad dash of several dozen skiers and riders down vista, midway and Main Street...conditions were very nice..the worst conditions were just a few soft cookies on lower Main Street and a little slickness around the last corner of lazy which is typical. He's i said lazy as at about 8:20AM lazy mile was opened which is the first time I remember lazy being open on opening day, at least in the morning. Tuts lane is also fully covered with snow and snowmaking operations occurred in the valley as well the past 4-5 days. Liftlines were short for opening day and the option to ride the Burma lift kept waits down a bit. I think $40 lift tickets for opening day and a super early opening kept many casual skiers off the slopes while others likely didnt expect the local ski season to begin so early and had other plans. Come around park is fully open with 8-9 features and small booters. I skied through there twice and it was nice snow and the chute was nice as well...groomed hardpack had some bite to it. Upper Main Street was silky smooth would be good conditions mid season and the seeds were laid for Barney's bumps. Around 10am me and atomic Jeff hit the parking lot and some PASRs were already there drinking and a few others joined in the next 20-30 minutes. I just had two Sam Adams winter lagers and was still chilly in the upper lot. With smaller than expected crowds and better than expected conditions along with it being November 22nd I'm calling today the best opening day at Blue..hands down...good seeing everybody after a 7 month off season. I'll be back tomorrow same time..different beer...JADIP
  18. Later meet up plans will be in row two of the parking lot. 16 degrees out brrrrr
  19. I heard somebody yell timber but no trees were cut down in the vicinity..that means its going down...
  20. 10am...Jibhonks don't wake up early.
  21. Only baller cars like the 1999 Jetta Wolfsburg edition come with that.
  22. Boot up beer... Car is packed up.. Alarm set for 6:20AM....
  23. Don't most cars have CD players??? But seriously do what I do go to YouTube on your phone and u can listen to any song.
  24. Lazy spreads the people out and also dumps them on the Main Street chair leaving the Burma side less busy. Also anybody remember if season pass goes in left pocket or right pocket? I remember what I are for lunch in 1989 but don't have the foggiest clue. Time to dig out my gear and get prepared. Skis are still in bag from Colorado trip 7 months ago.
