  1. I didn’t mention snowmaking and trail expansion. The snowmaking cannons were blasting on the east side of tubing, nightmare to dreamweaver, razors, upper Main Street and come around..Upper main could open tomorrow. I heard the new lift might open Friday. I don’t know which Friday. The rest of this cold spell I’m hoping they are least get started in switchback and challenge. It’s weird razors opening before challenge. If razors is closed for racing and challenge isn’t open yet, that’s no good. #SkierProblems Some years they’re barely even open now. New Years morning is always foggy I can tell you that and looks to be again this year. One year it was so foggy I put my right foot into my left boot…I thought I was being punked.
  2. Hey all, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:16am and it was in the low to mid 20s under mostly cloudy sky’s with light winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Dirtwolf, Indiggio and BenM. Second civilian quad to coming soon which was ok..not that smooth. Lower Paradise was vastly improved from yesterday. I thought upper Paradise was real good and lazy Mile was variable some slick some ok and the Falls was good. Curzis Raceway dead husband was open which made access to midway to lower Main Street slightly faster. Midway was pretty nice and left side of lower main wasn’t bad. There were way more crowds yesterday than today, I think alot of people have work today the first hour I managed 7 runs and no Crowds on the runs and the next few runs had some crowds on the trails but manageable and no liftlines. It was actually less crowded than some weekday mornings due to the 8am start. After skiing hungout in the lot a little bit, had one beer and now heading into work. JADIP. Ski some of you tomorrow.
  3. @saltyant how was your date?)
  4. Whether it’s next week, next month, or next year, I’ll be happy…
  5. I wanted to take the vista lift so I could ski Curzis Widow from the top of raceway
  6. Set two alarms…it’s gonna be good.
  7. +++++VIBES+++++ at least you know where your truck is.
  8. Who’s Mike? You see MBike mike?
  9. No different than the Thursday nights with all the school kids.
  10. Sorry missed you in the list of people saw you on your skis.
  11. Salty did you get to ski curzies cabin?
  12. When I was in 6th grade the price through ski school was $14 for lift ticket, $19 for lift ticket and rental and $21 for the first time on skis package which was vista chair lift ticket, lesson and rental. The transportation was free thanks to the Allentown school district taxpayers. They used to have mens night, ladies night, ski club night all for that Sunday night special price. I think they should throw in a few specials for the new and casual skiers and riders. Maybe like a throwback Thursday or Tuesday a few days/nights during the season and some sort of special for winterfest which sadly I usually miss because I’m in Jackson hole but it looks rad.
  13. All good points..owning and operating a ski resort seems super stressful so hats off to those who show up earlier than us to get the place up and running and the people paying $115 plus $40 rental plus $25 lunch plus $75 gloves lucked out big time today and got all our parking spots in a 30 second fury.
  14. I was telling VTMark earlier about how night lift tickets used to be like $28 and he said hehehehe in the 90s. Yeah in the 90s…in the early 90s was even cheaper than that.
  15. For the first time this season there is a wait to get into Blue mountains Estore. I guess alot of people are spending that Xmas cash. The price for 8 hour lift tickets beginning at any time. They don’t have the 4 hour lift tickets anymore. I think the 8 hour ticket makes people stay longer so they spend more money.
  16. That’s a nice time to ski with the setting sun..enjoy and post a report. Lazy mile is good.
  17. Anybody skiing tomorrow morning?
  18. Who said they aren’t?
  19. That’s amazing how light the crowds are. By 830 at blue there was a half filled parking lot.
  20. Wow power outage. Bad day for it. How are they gonna keep the chili hot in the cafeteria. People were complaining that lift tickets at Blue are as much as in Vermont. Yeah but you don’t have the drive and still the same jersey fuckers. edit: the six pack is running. The line is really short for this holiday week. Out west business is down this week at ski resorts. I wonder if that will hold true here.
  21. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:15 and it was in the mid teens with moderate winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JimKoval, JFDan, PARidge, Indiggio, Justo, Enjorales, Pops, VTMark, Salty, KevinThomas and many more people. First civilian chair on the quad and the guns were blasting on tubing, Razors, nightmare dreamweaver, skiercross, Raceway, upper Main Street, Barney’s bumps and come around. First run in coming soon was ok, decent snow but not super smooth. Lower paradise wasn’t that good, sort of icy and uneven. Raceway wasn’t open as advertised to you still have to schlep over to vista to ski midway to lower main. Midway was ok, a little firm and lower main they blew some water on. Was nice to also ski lower park. Lazy mile had the nicest snow on the mountain and the falls is intimidating. Toast would clear the whole thing, it’s like a ramp. Upper paradise was ok and the first hour was pretty crowd free then the crowds emerged. I skied just 8 runs and only one lazy mile run it was crazy mile. The people were spilling in and I think today will end up moderately busy. My toes were semi frozen for the first time this season and hungout in the lot for a few. Now at work and not motivated to do any work so just taking a shit, smoking a Bowl and gonna count money. Then go grocery shopping, eat weed pills and probably have some jack and diet stoke later. JADIPGSCMAP just another day in paradise getting stoned counting money and pooping.
  22. Nice that’s almost t shirt weather for the Rockies. Yesterday when it was 11 degrees out in Virginia and DC everybody was wearing scarves lol you wear a scarf skiing at a Rocky Mountain resort you’ll end up hanging upside down on a lift and be on jerry of the day. Not @saltyant he’s not a jerry anymore he’s a Jerome!!
  23. What’s the temperature like?
  24. The Yellowstone club…members only like the 1980s jackets. Skiing liberty bowl at Big Sky you get a really good view of the Yellowstone club which is small compared to Big sky but only a handful of skiers and riders and I heard free cookies if you know Salty and Ski2Live
  25. Cause the race team parents are mostly rich and rich people have a sense of entitlement. It’s all good ski racers are the future.
