I’m back at the hotel house. 6 hours ago I was sitting on the runway looking at the grand Tetons. Damn good time from Newark to Allentown. A bit over an hour.

Actually it was new for the 95-96 ski season. That’s when ASC American ski company purchased sugarbush. They added the gatehouse high speed quad, the super bravo high speed quad and I believe the north ridge high speed quad over at sugarbush north. Sugarbush north which they call mount Ellen now used to be called Glen Ellen. Sugarbush south which they now call Lincoln peak was the original sugarbush and it used to have a gondola that ran up organgrinder. Back then it was called Mascara mountain because that’s where the rich and famous went.

Good: hanging out in NMSkis massive fireplace suite that had a window sill and couch. Bad: him sitting on a Luggage rack the first day cause while there were plenty of towels but not enough chairs, I remedied that situation by stealing two chairs from the hallway on the floor above. Ugly: two days I got over to his room in my khakis and noticed there were boxer shorts inside my pant leg. It’s cause after the bagel place in the AM I rip off pants and underwear and get into different underwear and ski pants and then I guess rush to get dressed when the Biergarten opens. Weird wild stuff. Paint me like the French girls.

I rode it when it was brand new in 1996…at the time it was the longest and fastest high speed quad.

Good: 50” of new snow in 50 hours. Bad: delayed openings Ugly: Almost having a massive collision cause some nimrod turned uphill into a cat track I was going downhill on…if he would have collided with me I would have gone off on him. All he said was sorry…fuck him.

Good: Had one of those rooms at the 49er that has both an interior and exterior entrance which is convenient for loading ski gear into the car. Bad: I typically shower before dinner and most days there was barely any hot water cause that’s when everybody showers. Key card also didn’t work after 7 nights even though I was staying for 8 nights. That’s always the case. Ugly: The recliner in the room, I did not sit in it but there’s surely lots of semen/jizz/cum/spunk/throat mayonnaise/baby batter..whatever you want to call it on it. Id only sit in it if I had a hazmat suit.

Good: Lots of good food at restaurants. Bad: Lots of terrible service at restaurants, people never believe me how bad and slow service is and items forgotten on and on and on. Ugly: falling on my ass in the mens room.

Good: That NazarethJay surprised us Bad: That NazarethJay is always late for supper and being picked up for skiing… Ugly: Skid marks on the side of my toilet…I don’t poop good in Jackson hole…only had two decent logs the rest were straight mud maybe cause I didn’t eat any veggies for a week.

I was thinking about this and that’s sort of a dickhead thing to ask waiters and waitresses.

And is there also a cafeteria? I should just go sometime. I live 20 minutes away just to see the MILFs.

The lodge looks fancy compared to the one at Doe mountain. Do you ever eat there or hangout at the bar?

Taking off in a few. Flight time to Newark three hours and 31 minutes. The jet stream must be really strong.

I never carpool..$229 an hour is more than I make at work.

Well it would mean arriving at Newark at 1130 vs around 8. I’d consider it if they gave money not airline credit.

Yeah at a place like Breck it’s actually snowier in the spring time where at Jackson hole the conditions are usually trash by late march unless it snows cause it’s lower and a lot of the mountain is East and south facing.

@saltyant I was thinking about going to Stowe in the spring. Maybe you can let me borrow your epic pass.

You should go to Jackson hole. It’s empty here now.

They must have seen me check in because they say our flight is overweight and looking for 3 volunteers to fly Jackson to Denver to Newark as opposed to Jackson to Newark and are offering $800 flight credit.

C1 do you have any ski trips planned for later this season?

Truth…years ago there was an abundance of “skids” here and they’ve mostly been priced out. Even DJango from Teton gravity who might look like a skid on the surface is dropping $1650 for an early bird season pass and another $700 for a Ranch lot parking pass. True skids would take the bus or park down in Stilson.
