  1. Where’s your second season pass for?
  2. @saltyantare you gonna be at the PASR party tomorrow night?
  3. No I’m talking about Frank the hot dog you know Frank wiener he went to band camp with us.
  4. I feel for the retail stores in Jim Thorpe..this is a prime time weekend for them. You know when they opened the eastern PA stretch of I-78 in the late 80s, they let people bike and in-line skate on the highway. That’s radical. Before that you had to take Root 22 to get to jersey or NYC and before root 22 there was a train that ran that Root.
  5. You are correct are you going to purchase a season pass at Camelbsck for the 22-23 ski season?
  6. We’ll see I’ve heard talk of a polar vortex already forming up near Santa’s workshop so it could be one of those November’s where the cold cums in hard…fast and persistent…where killington only opens a few days before Hunter and I’m once again on the news being interviewed saying about how this is bonus skiing. Remember anything before Cinco de Mayo is bonus.
  7. Thanks looks like the lift runs at about half speed and a pretty decent elevation rise.
  8. All y’all underestimate Blues snowmaking capacity. Upper Main Street and vista were their weak links before. With a paradise opening they can really blast blast blast. Let’s hope we have a start like 2019
  9. I actually thought the picture was from pigeon forge or somewhere on a mountain. I’ve never been to Knoebels so didn’t know they had a chairlift. Dorney park called their chairlift a sky ride.
  10. Paradise for opening would be progressive. Operating out of the valley for opening would be radical. I’m so used to starting my season out in the summit and central gully area that skiing paradise and perhaps free fall early season would be rad. Free fall has these really high tech snowmaking cannons that really lay out a lot of base and you know what they say, it’s all about the base.
  11. I heard Dorney Park was very busy this last weekend like up to 40 minute lines while many days mid summer it was walk on rides..this is just second hand information from a friend with a season pass at DP. I like Hershey park…Salty I remember you were telling me about the Hershey highway last season in the lot or maybe the season before.
  12. Over an inch of rain today in the A. This is grate for the snowmaking ponds.
  13. No way Blue always blows when it’s cold enough to blow. The inversions can be a real humdinger.
  14. Where’s this from?
  15. Nice I guess Liftee Bob stoped into your store. If that’s the case and we have a cold start I guess run the old six pack for the first few weeks.
  16. Sheesh I don’t have either of those things.
  17. Blue should throw a season pass holder party at like 2pm on a Wednesday, that way they won’t need to give out as much free food and drink.
  18. Oh so you have like a barcode on your phone. I would venture to guess Blue doing this way will result in a large percentage of season pass holders not even receiving or using the gift card.
  19. I never received it…does it work with your season pass?
  20. I follow ABasin Al’s blog and Abasib is getting a new lift for this season and they finally received their wire rope. The guy said something along the lines of it comes from Europe and took 8 trips around the Atlantic before it arrived here and the wire rope for Jackson holes new lift was said to be in New Mexico. http://arapahoebasin.blogspot.com/2022/10/wire-rope-has-arrived.html?m=1
  21. I have to say that every year and then toast responds I hope it’s vista lift only and then of course I’m there opening day regardless. It’s like a PASR tradition.
  22. Well just go to bed earlier if you wanna wake up earlier shit I was a paper boy for four years. I was already halfway done with my Root by 6am now 6am is when I get up to piss then go back to sleep or see if I got any likes on face space.
  23. That makes sense. Blue is really leaving a lot of trails on the table. The last stretch of lazy mile leading to the mixing bowl is a solid two trails just there and the part of lazy we mostly ski to the falls is a solid three sections before you get to crossover. Top part can be lazy meadows, then next section can be called Curve Ahead or something about Root like Root Beer or Blue Root which runs through Delco. And then after the curve but before crossover could just be called Sunrise since it faces the Rising son. I’m just getting started here. I might have to make my own map and laminate it in case it rains or NMSki spills beer on it.
  24. I don’t think I’ve missed an opening day at Blue since I joined PASR I know in the early days when I had a season pass sometimes opening was on a Friday and I’d start my Blue season on Saturday. I also know what kind of snacks Toast and Enjorales and Root like and I’ll come stocked with a goodie bag. You think I’m gonna watch the opening day lineup on the webcam with my pecker out like my future brother in law Salty…hell to the no..
  25. Mid next week looks good for snowmaking up there.
