This morning at Blue was wet, cold, windy, empty and snowy. It was a slow slippery Saturday. I mostly skied challenge which was windblown at the top and smooth in the middle. Salty was in the house which was radical. Also Nancy and Bunski and Boobear and benm, nastar Glenn and many others. Coming soon is now groomed. I’m guessing maybe 3+ inches fell so was definitely dick deep. PASRs are really good at drawing weiners on cars but they always forget the hair which is lame. That’s it for now. Going into work and eating panera then gonna dry all my way stuff out for tomorrow which will be a lot faster.

This is why traffic was backed up this morning on Root 22E..this was between 309 and cedar crest Blvd. I was lucky I was stuck right before 309 and drove on the shoulder and got off at 309N..took back roads and got to blue in the same amount of time.

I just received an email from Blue mountain that says 3” is on the way. While it won’t make any ladies leave their husbands, it’s exciting.

$100-$150

I’d never do a roadside assistance program. I use a tow truck an average of like 2-3 times a decade so not worth it.

Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was in the low to mid 30s under mostly sunny sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Bethlehem Ford Guy, BenM, Gary, Jimmy and C1. About a minute before 9am all of us waiting at the quad were told that the quad was closed so we hoodef it over to the six pack which opened a few minutes late. I skied challenge first and it was pretty good. Soft cord on the top half and firm cord lower. Razors and paradise were similar. My favorite run was midway which had hero snow. Skied 8 runs and then hungout in the lot for maybe 45 minutes with Atomic Jeff drinking beers and now back at work like a dork and wondering what tomorrow will bring. Maybe rain maybe snow maybe both. The weather is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.

Wow you’re a busy guy. I try not to do doctors appointments during ski season although I had an eye doctor appointment in December mainly cause I was almost out of contacts.
-
That’s a long time for a tow truck. When my car wouldn’t start last season at blue, I called a tow truck company in lehighton and they were there in a half hour.

Blue hasn’t even scheduled pond skimming yet. My guess is daily until 3/20 and weekends only after that.

Be blessed you can afford all those things. Your wife is gonna love the new dishwasher. -
I’ve never been on it. Just the series of magic carpets once.

Multi-Mountain Pass Pricing

Well now that I’m no longer on the payroll I’ll be mailing out several thousand dollars in early April for my quarterlys to PA, Uncle Sam, social security and all that. On a typical day I either spend like $30 or like $1,000 not much in between. -

Well I was gonna eventually have to bite the bullet and buy an Ikon pass. My 7 day lift ticket to Jackson hole earlier this season was about the same price as the full Ikon pass. I just never wanted to drop an extra Grand this time of year especially after buying blue pass. -

What’s interesting is if you purchase an Ikon pass it includes spring skiing at a number of resorts including winter park which id consider skiing at on my April Colorado skifari. -

What’s the price on the Ikon pass? You know Jackson hole is on Ikon but you need the full pass for JH days. -
NOAA says 2-4” for the poconos.

They run the quad to freaking much. It’s over 27 years old..time for a replacement.
-
How long was the quad down for?
-
I don’t see an issue with that. You really think outside the box.
-
Also it is a little messed up that 70 year olds who ski everyday and don’t spend any money pay such a tiny rate while kids who can just about only go evenings and weekends/holidays pay full price.
-
Yeah that’s kind of messed up for students. Camelback used to offer a young adult pass up to age 29 at a deep discount. So at Blue it’s $649 for a 6 year old but a college kid at camelback pays $399.
