Barney’s bumps is cool. It’s like an overlay. Blue definitely is leaving some trails on the table. They could easily get up to 50-60 trails without cutting down a single tree.

Wow the Graduate in Tempe is a four star hotel..yeah usually fancy hotels don’t have free coffee in the lobby. Reminds me of the 1967 movie with Mrs. Robinson

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 824am and it was in the lower 20s under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, enjorales cousin, Charles, Atomic Jeff, Bethlehem Ford guy and Rodney. The quad was running and it was a cold ride with snowguns blasting all over the east side. First run on Free fall was nice and a patroller trying to get us to pump the breaks as we hit Paradise. Next run on Main Street has the best snow on the mountain..almost packed powder. Lazy mile was good snow and the falls is sort of narrow but decent for the first day it’s open. Paradise also nice snow but a wet gun at the beginning which had me sprayed and coated with ice ice baby. Seconds and thirds were had on Main Street and Free fall..and I ended up with 8 runs total by 1025. The quad didn’t stop much and the crowd was moderate for a Monday..most chairs were filled but no liftline...now back at work like a dork...JADIP

What hotel is it? Is there coffee in the lobby? What time is your flight back to Nork or are you flying into Allentown?

KSL keeps asking me to do a survey but haven’t offered me a cup of cocoa as compensation. I still might answer the survey. I recently did a survey for the hotel house which got me $20 off my next stay and I was asked how many nights per year I stay in hotels and my answer was almost 400 lol.

I’ve skied Blue way over 1,000 times and never forgot my pass. I once made it to whitehall and realized I didn’t have my boots back in 2006.

It’s Freefall..the name coming soon is reserved for the next new trail they propose or cut without snowmaking or lighting.

I only skied sugarloaf two days when my dad picked me up the end of first semester freshman year of college...and one day at Sunday river. Sugarloaf is a huge mountain by east coast standards and has a lot of nice natural snow terrain. It’s just so freaking far away. A lot of good upper intermediate pitched runs..you’ll have a blast...

No falls will be crap conditions but free fall and Main Street are.

One time back when flip phones were all the rage and flat screen TVs were only for the ultra wealthy, me and my buddy Tom ducked beyond the north boundary rope at Bridger bowl and skied lots of mid angle pow pow we went too far before traversing back and ended up and the cross country center next door..imagine the cross country skiers seeing me hauling ass downhill on skis and Tom on his snowboard on the brutally groomed trails..we found our way to the road and hitch hiked a mile or two back to the base of the ski area and took us only a few minutes to get a ride. When I was in college I picked up hitch hikers a few times in the town of Stowe hitch hiking to the mountain. Hitch hiking in PA is not on my bucket list.

Wow this could be the big Kahuna. Watch it’s one where Philly receives 2 feet, Allentown 6” and Blue 3” lol
