JH only ran teewinot today. I heard there was a very long line at the liquor store below the mangy moose. Snow king was apparently all time today cause I guess even the town got like a foot and a half. I heard a lot of the snow was heavy and wet down low and up high lighter but 30mph+ winds so high high avalanche danger. Yesterday a 67 year old local in a ski group died in the woods between Rendevous trail and the Hobacks in a tree well. He owned businesses in town. Last week a similar aged person died in a tree well at grand targhee. Slow start out there, enough snow when we were there to not damage skis and ski most of the terrain we wanted to ski and now they’re way above average just like that. They’ll prob end up closing next month with like a 150” base. I’m real tempted to go back this season.

30” new in 24 hours at JH, no parking left, Stilson parking not an option as buses aren’t running, only teewinot running and grand targhee is closed today. Wow what a mess.

Didn’t feel like skiing in the rain…if it was the first or last day of the season would be a different story. I know atomic Jeff and Dirtwolf are up there.

@Benm that’s the style to ski through that thickness..hands forward ass up that’s the way we like to tuck..not a diss. That hands on your knees thing is a club hit right now lol I like doing yoga poses skiing on homestretch.

Nice shawnee and beer and snowboarding stole!!! I went to Shawnee place with camp log and twig..was those nets you crawl through and what not..also took a chairlift to the top with somebody from Long Island.. One of these days I might ski there. I like how empty it looks

It’s a wasted run for me most of the time. I like lazy mile when it first opens for the season for the variety of it and a few times it does have the best snow but it’s way to slow for my liking unless the snow is lightening fast and also smooth…I definitely had a few times this season where it was a foot deep thick marbles and cookies..good thing I’m an agile mofo..just straight ran that shit with my hands on my knees BenM style..
