Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 715AM and it was in the high teens with a nice alpenglow. In the house was Salty, JFDan, PSUFlyguy, Nastar Glenn, Enjorales, BenM, PARidge, KevinThomas, Justo, Rose, Charles, Falco and many others. First civilian six pack and challenge first whih was good but a little more frozen than expected considering the recent new snow...switchback was pretty nice and empty and I repeated that..upper main and lower Main both nice and smooth. Sidewinder was good until the last pitch which was sort of slick. Paradise had chalky packed powder and coming soon had ok snow but pretty rocky and I was pretty careful skiing the right side to not destroy my $1100 new skis. Liftlines got pretty long as expected and had some beer and chips in the parking lot. Remember boys and girls tomorrow is sausage Sunday wahahahahooey

The narrow run looks cool. There’s a guy on the weather forum I follow that lives at 2800 feet by blue knob.

I’m eating right now and this post makes me hungry.

Nah you should go out to restaurants and order local cuisine like crab cakes and Rocky Mountain oysters.

Yup that’s when you could really get 8 runs per hour if you were skiing the front face and with a 730am weekend start that means 12 runs by 9am or 20 runs by 10am on a weekend with no lines woo woo woo. Back when I skied blue in high school I was getting 40-60 run days regularly. But my average ski day was 7:30-5 with a lunch break at a table in the lodge...I’d even put my lunch in a locker and buy a soda or chips from the machine. Yesterday was like 1040am and I was like damn that was a long session lol.

They limit ticket sales and we have access to the VIP line so they will never be that unbearable. I do freaking love skiing right onto the lift like yesterday AM and the first hour today.

Before the line at the quad got ridiculous, how long was the VIP line?

How many tickets would be normal? Does Elk even have a six pack to handle all those crowds?? Also does that include night skiing?

Going one mph over snowy gravel in the lot is a lot different than some of the sharks lurking in the woods at Blue...

With the way the liftlines are gonna be tomorrow it’s going to be tough to be there during a five minute window but I’ll do my best to be there then. Maybe ski to the doubles then and hit up widowmaker to chute.

Ok I’ll do a lazy glades with you..I’ll pretend I’m in the Slalom glades at Steaux Verde Monte and Hollywood for you.. @antman12 has a video from there
