  1. A day in the life of a ski patroller at Chamonix
  2. I think night skiing will be busy but don’t expect powder conditions as the snow is supposed to wrap up around Noon. If you want Pow, gotta ski the morning, night will be push piles and slick swaths of ice
  3. Welcome back RideDE
  4. Y’all are tough if there was no parking I’d be like fuck that.
  5. If there’s Pow would be tomorrow AM
  6. Way to get after it ZZSlope, I didn’t see you at Blue over the weekend
  7. Are you going out there to see your kid?
  8. We are looking at a nowcasting event
  9. Maybe I’m confusing days..both yesterday and today were very solid days…but not boner doner except for the food and commaraderie. No real liftlines mid winter and chilling in the lot no jacket is a treat. Today felt a little chillier
  10. That’s deep and nice report..I was scrolling Facebook and saw a couple pictures and knew that a report was coming..airhead said there might be 4”+ coming out way so your report should hold us over until we see local backcountry reports.
  11. Antman we haven’t seen you at Blue in awhile.
  12. Hey all, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was in the low 40s under overcast sky’s. In the house was everybody who was there yesterday except Dirtwolf, Justo and Rose but KevinThomas, Nancy, Schif, Matt Edge, Falco and Shopey1080 were there. First civilian OG six pack to challenge which was firm, Paradise was a lot better as was lazy mile. Coming soon had similar firm conditions just like challenge. Crowds were super light with no lift lines. The snow got more edgeable on lazy mile and became full on spring snow on lazy. I didn’t think the snow was quite as spring like as yesterday…id say conditions were ok..a couple more skeet spots. It will be nice if we receive some snow this week. Fun parking lot and a sausage Sunday, I enjoyed a breakfast Sando, slider burgers, sausage and steak. JADIP!!
  13. Once Barbs Bush gets trimmed it will be a lot smoother
  14. Hey All, I’m back from another morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:17am and it was 36 degrees at the base and 42 degrees at the upper entrance, mad inversion Yo!! In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, PARidge, BenM, Mute, BooBear, TP4, Mixilplix, Dirtwolf, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, Bethlehem ford crew, Gary and many others. There was a little snafu at the opening gates with only the VIP OG six pack readers working which had some doing the limbo or scrambling. That put me Behind the pack and PARidge was in the front and got first tracks on Challenge which looked pretty bad..I started on Lazy so was like 6 chairs back so skied solo. Was a nice session and almost every run was decent but not the boner doner of tuesday and Thursday mornings. Lazy was pretty smooth and semi soft, nightmare to dreamweaver was decent groomed, Coming soon was semi soft on the top…I enjoyed Widowmaker to the chute the best with some serious hero snow…lower Main Street was thick and stiff so not that good. I found Paradise to have the smoothest and most hero snow and skied that twice and a paraweaver as well and did challenge once and it was a mess up top and middle wasn’t bad. Temperatures rose to about 50 and the best thing was that there weren’t any crowds…I was following Blues ticket sales and they barely sold any tickets the last two days. If we get a couple inches this week that should help them make Johnny cash for presidents weekend. Fun parking lot, had a couple beers and ready for more of the same conditions tomorrow AM
  15. They’ve only sold about 100 8 hour tickets for tomorrow and Sunday in the last day…when it feels like springtime on a February morning keeps some of the TDH’s at home.
  16. Yup that was Eddie and were like $800 skis. I think he lives in North Carolina now.
  17. Thanks I’m pretty good at figuring that sort of thing out.
  18. As long as there’s no edge damage, nothing to worry about. I feel like most modern skis are built pretty strong. Back in the late 90s/early 2000s skis would start to delaminate after a season or two of heavy skiing..
  19. That looks huge and I bet that’s taken from like 5,000 feet??
  20. He flew over BenM and Dirtwolf house
  21. Nah enjoy your coffee. In Jackson hole I got double shots of espresso a few times from the bagel place..more to relieve vacation constipation but caffeine boost a plus..TP4 is always stopping at Sheetz for coffee on the way up.
  22. In that question mark area they should build something cool..maybe a Condotel with ground floor retail..perhaps an Italian restaurant. Sucks having to drive back to the valley for decent Arancini
  23. I heard it was for buses anyway doesn’t affect me..was cool seeing some new faces in the PASR row yesterday..
  24. Better than the extra four inches I gave an old lady earlier. Sheesh 34” for the price of a 30” at last years pricing, I’ll be darn lucky if I can afford gas go get to the Tuesday Perder day..at least my battery should work, can’t take that for granite knock on wood.
  25. I never even knew about the Kelce brothers until Taylor swift started fucking them lol
