Any operational issues with all that snow?

Tickets are selling slowly for this weekend. Still $99 8 hour tickets available for Saturday and Sunday, next Saturday is at $109, we’ll see how high that goes, could crack $130 if we get snow this week.

Wow all that practice on Barbs way and you were able to pull off that steezy trick.

Hey All, It’s almost another weekend, is anybody planning on skiing Blue mountain the true mountain this weekend? I plan on Saturday and Sunday morning. Looks like mild weather which will hopefully make for some hero snow.

Is Blue on Snowbrains? Snowbrains seems like a gaper publication. -

Also no way it’s the second steepest slope in the east and anyway that’s like being second place in the special Olympics. -
Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 830am and it was 31 degrees in the valley and 36 at the summit entrance…mad inversion Yo! In the house were Atomic Jeff, TP4, C1er and the Bethlehem ford crew. First run on Main Street was soft packed powder on the top and firmer below but very smooth..you didn’t have to stay in your lane. Second run was nightmare ti dreamweaver very very nice groomed packed powder. Third run was challenge, not as good as Tuesday but still real nice, fourth run repeat of challenge. Fifth run skied Widowmaker which was ok to chute which was nice to lower Main Street. Sixth run skied challenge again. Seventh run was Coming soon which had some mini cookies and kind of slick, 8th run was lazy to the falls which was excellent smooth and empty, 9th run nightmare to dreamweaver and 10th and final run I repeated lazy to the falls again. Crowds were light and mellow and there were about 6 school buses and lots of kids on the learning hill. JADIP

And why we keep returning to Jackson hole is for a chance at this. I’ve had Pow days at big sky and Bridger bowl and Loveland and stowe but nothing compares to the JH steep Pow combo except maybe Aspen lol only cause I had four Pow days there -

I’ve skied probably 50 other mountains before and I return to Jackson hole the same time every year…so yes I visit other mountains but always Jackson hole every year except I didn’t go in 2021. I like knowing my way around, knowing where the best snow, best restaurants are..savvy shit…and every trip when I leave Jackson hole I feel like I have unfinished business. Even thinking of returning in late March/early April. -
2/6/24…Sunny…Challenge was excellent.

Nah we should motivate Salty to ski more. I agree with Momskeeze -
It’s only like $10 per day to add an international plan.

Usually they say two out of three ain’t bad but for Pow days one and of three is freaking good. Where did you stay in flagstaff and Phoenix? Did you have any Mexican food?

Yup was thinking about the emptiness..challenge didn’t look that good from the lift and seemed like everybody was going to nightmare dreamweaver and paradise. There was a mens ski group really milking challenge like they were navigating a Root at Le Grave…first run we saw them gazing at the precipitous drop of the challenge headwall and in my head was,”don’t start don’t start”..and for once they didn’t start..so Atomic Jeff and Johnny Law were really able to slut it up..then next run that group was middle of second headwall but we’ll off to the side and next run when JLaw and AJeff hit up NMSW and I did Challenge again, the group was at the bottom of the Falls… -

How many trips have you taken to Jackson hole? -
Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain. It was in the upper 20s when I arrived at 8:35am. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Rodney, C1er, Gary and Oz. First super summit safari six pack ride stopped twice, always happens. First run on Main Street was variable, velvety groomed and manmade, then some crispy snow lower. Over to the quad and first nightmare dreamweaver of the season which had pretty nice grooming and some skiffs of new manmade. challenge was so nice, one of the first runs this season at Blue I said this is really good. Repeated challenge about five times. Each run stayed good, mostly empty and it was one of the few runs they didn’t blow on so super consistent. Homestretch and Barbs way had mini cookies. Ended the session with a Raceway to Chute to lower main which was good until lower main which was a little scrappy and then Widowmaker to midway to lower main and midway kind of slick wet manmade. I left at 1030 and the temperature was up in the mid 30s and still blowing on Switchback. I’ll be back on Thursday AM, time to sell a tombstone.
