When you are at like wawa do you have to put in a PIN number when you use your debit card?? I see a lot of people do that. I’ve never had a debit card but have always had an ATM card.

I was wondering on plane tickets, rental cars, hotels...a lot of my takeout orders I pay online with credit card...plus I rack up a silly amount of points..double points for hotels and restaurants. The only thing I really use cash for is weed and on group trips it is nice for paying share of bill. Oh yeah and some of the yoccos locations are cash only and of course they have an ATM with like a $3.50 service fee. I believe on my main credit card, the payment is due around 25 days after the billing cycle is over so you essentially have a 3-7 week interest free loan...

County maps 22% positivity rate for PA..only 20,000 tests which isn’t a lot. When we were in yellow there were about 15,000 daily tests in PA and a positivity rate around 5%.

Illinois is 12,600 new cases and Ohio is 6500..likely be another record today. Maybe 140,000 for the US. 47 new cases for Vermont which is the most I’ve seen for them. Vermont only has 600,000 people so would be equivalent to PA have under 1,000 new cases so Vermont is about 1/5 as bad as PA. North Dakota didn’t report yet but had 1153 cases yesterday which is equivalent to PA having over 20,000 new cases. In ND it’s so bad hospitals are full and Covid positive nurses are still expected to come to work. Yup that’s my biggest anxiety going into the ski season..usually it’s if my pass will work. I’m honestly not concerned about catching Covid in the great outdoors it’s mainly to adhere to ski resort rules.

Oh damn. I always get holes in ski socks after about two seasons. Atomic Jeff gave me a couple pairs of medium thickness ski socks like ten years ago that I still have floating around. Not my favorites but good backups. I have to look into getting a thin buff to wear in the liftlines and on the lifts at blue. Any recommendations?? I’m also going to get another pair of leather spring gloves like the copper mountain ones I got a few years ago. I want a new jacket, new mid fat skis, helmet...on and on. I’m lazy about shopping

4361 new cases and I think it’s irrelevant which county Blue is in. We are not going back into green, yellow or red according to Dr. Richard levine but there could be restrictions on hot spots like bars and indoor dining. Also carbon is now just as hot as the Lehigh valley. Biggest concern is that it gets cold enough for snowmaking late this month or at worst early December. Would be depressing if Blue was closed Xmas week like a few seasons ago when they didn’t open permanently till like January 8

OK so you can’t go skiing during the week or two before?? I wonder how they can prove it...there was a lot of discussion on this on the alpinezone forums. Stowe was my home mountain in college...if you need any advice on places to hit let me know closer to your trip.

Things change...early in the pandemic we were all in this together..wasn’t the presidents fault about the China virus and he initially acted responsibly with the 2 week long stay at home. June 1st was a long time ago. Just like the seasons, people views and opinions change. Anyway when trump from 2025-2029 I think hell do a better job..so well that he’ll get Congress and the Supreme Court to amend the constitution to allow him to run for a third term in 2028.....
