Blue Mountain - COVID-19 Update
GrilledSteezeSandwich replied to toast21602's topic in Blue Mountain
I’ve kind of gotten bored with PA counts. I know yesterday there were over 40,000 new cases nationwide which is huge for a Monday. Wouldn’t be surprised if we crack 60,000 new daily cases by later this week. I’m guessing this pandemic has been tough for you Eaf. I imagine most of the bathhouses you frequent are closed down. -

Here are the new guidelines...will be interesting to see if they bother having fans at like Phantoms hockey games. 1,000 fans or less isn’t gonna cut it for things like concessions, parking etc..will there be small conventions and stuff again? I just want bars to stay open later again. Last call is like 1040pm now. -

Yesterday was the middle of the third of four fall Jewish holidays, the Sukkot..I only know part of one Sukkot song,”to the Sukkot I will being pears and apples on a string hang them tight and hang them high through the branches sing the sky”..honestly I prefer Martin Luther king day better. -

I honestly don’t think most of these religious Jews have the skill set to ski Jackson hole. I haven’t seen any religious Jews on western ski trips except on the Newark to Denver Southwest Airlines flight. Anyway they’re the chosen people, they do what they want. Trust me somebody like me who’s family founded the oldest synagogue in Allentown and eats a lot of bacon has no street cred with them. -
And this isn’t much different for you since you usually wear a mask skiing. Not so much for warmth but to be elusive

Yup former Olympic gold medalist and JH local Tommy Moe skis RTMs unless it’s a snorkel pow day..he has 171s
-
Eaf I remember when you skied on ladies skis..that was rad.

Lakewood NJ which is as jewy as parts of Brooklyn got hit hard. They all wanted to have weddings and shit anyway like some of my Facebook friends. Yeah it’s fucking insane people who have had weddings during this..the one wedding out by Pittsburgh everybody had their arms around each other and lots of fat old people. On Saturday I’m venture to Dillsburg to meet my parents and their new dog for lunch. I was gonna visit them Labor Day weekend but they weren’t comfortable with it since I go to the bars once a week. -

Damn Jews...and right outside of New York City..the nerve. When my uncle was on ski patrol at Jackson frost on Xmas they’d say Jewski lol. I’ve never even skied in Xmas as Blue closes that day. My temperature hasn’t been scanned this entire pandemic. The length of skis is a pretty good way to be socially distant. Side to side not so much. -

I don’t think so. Indoor buildings just about always have an occupancy for fire hazard reasons. Most bars and some restaurants display their occupancy somewhere on the wall near the entrance. Based on lift capacity and tubing..lodges and learning area I bet Blue has a capacity of about 10,000. Perhaps more if they had more parking. Those crazy days where they do more people than that there’s never all those people at one time..lots of overlapping sessions although like 10-2 the majority are there. -

20% of max occupancy isn’t gonna fly with Blue. I wonder what the limits were for amusement parks. Hershey and Dorney had over 250 people before. -

It’s not going away anywhere else in the world. Maybe New Zealand lol. -
Maybe..Eaf are you allowed to vote?

1994 called and they want their idea back. So racist of you to suggest.
-
I thought two parks instead of three at boulder but was just a rumor by PARidge who made up rumors about elk already.
-
I think plenty of ski club groups will still go. Suburban people and Richie Rich types aren’t as cautious about corona. Some kids are playing contact sports now in non urban areas.
-
I used to get Entertainment books. They were about $30 and had hundreds of coupons..mostly buy one entree get one entree free at restaurants or 50% off.
-
I think the benefit is the coupons are transferable and can be used for lessons and rentals as well. If you’re a real elk mountain big shot, you probably want to have a season pass plus a coupon book when your friends come from the Deep South and get tired of the drive to Vermont so stop at your Villa at elk. Blue has the buddy pass and 10% off anything with season pass.
