January 28, 2024 Day 5 of 7 Hey All, I’m back from another day at Jackson hole mountain resort. There were a few flakes falling this morning and the temperature was in the mid 20s. First civilian gondola again and sadly visibility wasn’t great early on with real flat light. The snow on amphitheater and Laramie bowl was nice..Rendevous trail also nice snow and a little better visibility. Did another Sublette lap then skied Lower tram line to the base. Mute had time for one more run before he had to leave for his flight and we took teewinot to Apres vous said bye to Mute, watched a few of the racers then skied over to the teton lift up teton and over to Casper area which had ok snow then up Casper and over to the Marmet lift which I haven’t been on in a few years and gives a different perspective. Crowds weren’t as bad as yesterday..a half corral max at Sublette, nothing really at thunder and minimal waits elsewhere. From marmet skied ranger under the gondola which was chalk bumps, then into Sundance gully to the base. I had my fill and NMSki took the tram for another lap. We had a quick lunch at the Mangy moose and now back in town…last night most of us went to the cowboy bar. It was packed to the gills with a band and the male female ratio was about 85:15 but most of the females were hot..I guess cause pf Taylor swift country music has gotten popular with chicks cause some were dresses like cowgirls and there was even a bachelorette party. due to low visibility I didn’t take many photos. Let’s hope the sun comes out tomorrow. pictures from Laramie bowl second run. -

A good thing I was talking about spread eagles on the chairlift with NMSki and not Backflips…. -
Great pictures y’all. Blue was less crowded today than Jackson hole.

1/27/24… Day 4 of 7 Hey all, I’m back from another day at Jackson hole mountain resort. Hopes of a repeat of the exploding boner conditions of yesterdays start were dampened by flat light and much firmer snow. We began on Amphitheater to Thunder. Amphitheater was stiff cord…Grand had better cord and a bit better Visibility. Bivoac woods are big bumps not what. I wanted early in the session..then the boys did Paintbrush and I don’t like that run cause of exposure, I’ve only skied it a few times before so skipped it and skied around to the bottom and the boys were taking forever and taking pictures so I split up with them. I want to try and ski more solo on these ski trips because I never meet anybody when I’m in a group and like chatting with people on chairlifts. It was just really enjoyable skiing alone for about 5 more runs despite some pretty shitty ski conditions and also pretty crowded. The only fresh I found was in the campground stash parks off Casper and a little bit in the Casper woods. Had my pecker out peeing in the woods when a whole ski school group came by on either side of the tree I was standing behind…not much to see as the temperatures were in the high teens. I did two Casper laps, one on Teton lift all the way to the base and I was chilly so took the gondola. In the gondola liftline some jackalope holding his ski by the binding ripped his toe piece right off. By 11:30 all the main trails were real scrapped off..while not a problem for me it was hilarious seeing all the herb tourons eating shit, seemed like every lift ride and every run snowboarders were faceplanting and from the Teton lift I saw some guy fall on his back into a hole. I quit a little before the boys and then we went to the AlpenHof which was closed, we checked out the mangy which I knew wouldn’t have a table and they wanted snake river brewery which we already had twice so I’m at Bubbas solo now eating a brisket platter.- 120 replies

I’ve skied 7 runs so far today. Split up from the boys two runs ago cause they were on paintbrush taking a long time and didn’t feel like waiting. My view now in woods in Casper area and earlier at the top of the Casper lift.- 120 replies

Got to the mountain a little early today. 7:50am departure from the hotel means first gondola on what could be a pretty busy Sunday. -

Seasonal snowfall at the plot in rendezvous bowl sits at 199” there is good coverage on most of the terrain..in the area below the stoke glades there was one area I had to do some rock navigating and yesterday in Rawlins bowl I even had to do a few hop turns and got bucked a few times and my only fall was on a painted yellow curb. First run on Amphitheater was only the dude from Montauk who used to work for Billy Joel so turned it up to max velocity other PASRs pointing out cloud formations. Don’t wanna be in their spray..only person on the run..only Tommy moe was gonna catch me…Laramie bowl 55mph corduroy…Mute said you guys were skiing fast..no shit perfect vis and a couple empty runs. That’s why you arrive early..Friday is the new Saturday at ski areas. The lift lines are so orderly everybody merges when they should twos pair up on quads almost everybody lowers the bar. The old school gruff atmosphere gone…the mangy moose not rowdy.. -
I just feel like you have unfinished business at Jackson hole…

Sweet and next year you can return to Jackson hole when your kid is done with college!!!!

January 26, 2024…..day 3 of 7. Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Jackson hole mountain resort. Today began with a few flakes falling and an angry inch of new snow on the mountain. Temperatures in the 20s with light winds and partly sunny skies with areas of fog. In the house were Atomic Jeff, NMSki, Dirtwolf and Mute. First civilian gondola again and finally got that dream Amphitheater, full visibility, completely empty, and wall to wall cord carpet with an inch of titty sparkles on top. Up Thunder and Laramie was similar and I flew down that. Then Bivoac which wasn’t groomed but still very soft and grippy back to Sublette and skied ten sleep bowl to the cirque which was pretty good and still plenty of freshies. Now amphitheater was fully in the fog..back up thunder and skied grand which wasn’t as good as yesterday but OK… Then a Bivoac woods run…mostly moguls…up Sublette again and Sublette had a pretty long high as people were staying high to avoid the fog, usually when I try and stay high in in a fog. The boys then did the Hobacks and I wanted to preserve myself so did Bivoac again to Rendevous trail to south pass traverse to Gros verte to the base. I was way to early at the base and just did a quick teewinot lap just to kill some time. Met up with Ajeff, Mute and NMSki a few minutes later and I guess Dirtwolf got sick in the Hobacks, I didn’t remember if he just spewed or blew chunks, he definitely hurled. Then up teewinot to apres vous then down a pretty crappy groomer to teton lift then skied a woods/bump run through stoke ville and I was getting tired so went back to the car to join Dirtwolf and the others did two more runs then we had lunch at the Mangy Moose. -
