5508 new cases in Florida..a new single day record. Only 40 new deaths. As said before there will be a couple week lag between new cases and deaths. A Miami doctor in an article said there are five times more Covid patients in ICUs now than two weeks ago which is alarming. Texas is doing terrible as well with triple the ICU patients..Houston we have a problem.

Zonked is going back into your office optional for you? It’s similar at my friend Katie’s job. They are encouraged to come back into the office in July but can keep working from home indefinitely if they feel more comfortable doing that. She’s mixed about it. She knows her co-workers likely won’t keep their distance and also not the most responsible but she’s also bored with working from home.

In the Allentown area masks have never been common outdoors except for protesters and people waiting for the bus. Travel bans were discussed. Over in Europe the countries neighboring Sweden along with 90% of the European Union will not allow Swedish citizens to enter their countries. Like all the other states a reopening will lead to a spike in cases here in PA...there is a large contingent of anti mask people...mainly uneducated people. Brazil is one of the only countries doing worse than the United States in fighting Covid. I also don’t see domestic travel being limited. To many people have ants in their pants.

The canadian border remains closed for US citizens except for a few extreme circumstances like if you have close relatives there. Apparently they allowed people to travel through Canada on the way to Alaska but people were staying in British Columbia instead of traveling straight through and spread the virus north of the border.

They should...most of Europe did a great job nearly wiping out corona why would they want people from places like the US, mexico and Brazil coming there. Bermuda is opening to tourists July 1st but you have to jump through some hoops including a test here with negative results within 48 hours of departure and another test upon arrival at tourists expense and then quarantining at lodging until negative results are returned.

5489 new cases in Texas. Nationwide about 30,000 new cases today and reporting isn’t complete and 700 new deaths. In some of the hard hit southern states, deaths are starting to catch up to new cases slightly.

People are really fucking shitty and entitled. This stretch of time where instead of meeting with families, I’ve instead mailed out contracts to those who want to order has been great. I called up hair salon today and the voicemail said that they’ll reopen when corporate says they can, please leave a message. I figured maybe there was somebody in there taking appointments already. I could just go to Supercuts but I heard they give bad head.

Wow just wow...numbers holding pretty steady. To add to Toasts point will be interesting to see what indoor dining/bars does to the numbers. In Texas I know several bars lost their liquor license for a month due to not following guidelines. I’m sure this weekend i’ll Get a good idea of what bars are like on my Facebook timeline.
