  1. Yup just like @toast21602 hot and cold…and like a Katie Perry song…some days are good some days are bad. Shit just today I’ve been happy and pissed off several times. C’est la vie you take the good you take the bad you take them both and then you have the Facts of Life…no @theprogram4 this morning which is rare. Yeah I fucks with the Beatles no big dealio…and loving some of the Tik Toks coming out of the Bronx…
  2. No it’s a Lionel Richie song.
  3. Thanks
  4. That was one day get over it.
  5. It’s called dynamic pricing like today was only $60-70 because less demand, more demand on weekends and even more when there’s a snowstorm.
  6. Race team brings them a lot of business, all the race team peeps buy season passes, a lot of their family members do as well, they pay for race training and some pay for additional night training and because Blue has the best race trail in the state, they bring in hundreds of junior and college racers from across the state. Would if be hard for them to bring NASTar back on Raceway???
  7. Only $114 Saturday for an 8 hour. That’s honestly not that bad when you think about how little money is worth these days. Think of it as a penalty for those who don’t purchase a season pass.
  8. My guess is they’ll get coming soon and you still have paradise, Main Street, midway, lazy and burma. Plenty of variety.
  9. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 830am and it was in the upper 30s with overcast sky’s and moderate winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er, Bethlehem Ford crew, Rodney and Oz. First civilian six pack to top to bottom Main Street which was firm but pretty smooth. A couple skeet spots lower down but coverage is decent but according to a patrol, there’s a stream running under Main Street. Skied Main Street again then took the quad to coming soon which was ok, grippy enough but not as smooth as Main Street. Lazy mile was pretty nice and only crazy mile one run with a lot of herbs but the majority of the runs only had a few people on them. Paradise was ok as well and the skeet spots lower aren’t as bad as they were over the holidays. I ended on Main Street, quick 8 runs and out at 1020. It wasn’t boner doner but a very pleasant session. I’ll be back Saturday AM looks like it should be spring conditions then and back to winter on Sunday JADIP
  10. BenM might be to much of a party boy for us. Him and ridge might want to rent their own cabin so they can rage all night to U2
  11. Depends on how cold it gets overnight. I’m actually hoping it doesn’t get that cold and 9am opening in sunshine. Atomic Jeff loves the sun.
  12. The avalanches are gonna be insane in JH…weeks of hoar frost and crystals on top of an old shallow snowpack and then lighter density snow and wind slab..and the next storm this weekend coming in warm…it’s like trying to build a house with a foundation of potato chips…
  13. Nice report wish I could be there. Work today was stupid…I have a 20 ounce Mountain Dew for you the next time I see you. I was gonna treat myself to a Gatorade from the vending machine after clearing my car off and hit D6 instead of B6 SMH…
  14. One of my friends dads was one of the founding members of Jefferson Airplane, Jerry Peloquin…jefferson airplane merged into jefferson starship which continued on as Starship back in the 80s when everybody was dancing on the ceiling.
  15. I’ve never personally used a GPS. I’m amazed I used to remember where all my classrooms and friends phone numbers were and where random people lived in college. A lot of our cemetery files have Mapquest directions printed out in the early 2000s and some have really really old directions where 145/MacArthur road is called 7th street and when parts of 78 were 309.
  16. I forgot about it. After Jackson hole I’ll put together a survey and see if any are interested maybe for 2025…gotta see what Matt Edge and VTMarks schedule is like.
  17. My old delivery guy had paper map books for every county in eastern PA and NJ. It sure was fun when I played the navigator. He’d have ten miles to go and slow down and look at every cross street. New guy is addicted to GPS…if it told him to drive off a pier he would. He’s super geographically illiterate. He’s always asking me if a certain place is near somewhere and dumb questions. He’ll be like is lambertville near coatesville. No…
  18. It’s basically in jersey. Reminds me of the Far East movement.
  19. Blue used to offer first time on skis packages, maybe they still do. Where it gets expensive is when people progress past the bunny slope which is usually day 2 or day 3. Then they need to buy a normal lift ticket plus rentals.
  20. When I was in college it was a big deal when the major rich people resorts like Vail Aspen and Stowe cracked the $50 lift ticket barrier but back then gas was a dollar a gallon and two people could go out for a nice supper for $50
  21. I wonder what that average household income of the average Blue mountain season passholder vs day ticket buyer vs ikon passholder. I feel like the highest figure may be the average day ticket buyer, at least on weekends.
  22. I’ll be there tomorrow AM…might be a rare quiet night skiing session as a lot of schools are closed today.
  23. No Ikon crowds at Blue today.
  24. Aren’t they officially on Ikon now? I don’t think it’s gonna be where Blue season passholders are automatically Ikon passholders. Only like that for the flagship alterra resorts.
  25. BenM you’re the most demanding customer ever. I couldn’t imagine how you’d be if you were on a ski trip and lifts were closed due to avalanche conditions or high winds or power or mechanical conditions or was giant cookies. Perfection is impossible gotta just go with the flow.
