2/20….the best of times.
GrilledSteezeSandwich replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Way to get after it. I haven’t been in Manhattan since like 2010 and gonna go with my friend one of these days. When I used to go I’d park in Chinatown. Think about all the hours we spend outside during the winter compared to most it’s healthy AF even if we’re eating tubuler meat and drinking beer. It’s well earned. -

You’re a chill dude…some people would want to fight in that situation even if it’s their fault. One time like a day or two before a ski trip I was skiing down shuttle back when it was empty at blue and you could fly down it, and some guy who was prob tucking since midway clipped my ski tails and cause me to spin out but not fall and he fell..he was all pissed…and I said you hit me…and he kept going and I repeated you hit me… ski and ride with your head on a swivel -
And on topic I’m always going to encourage people to buy season passes or go on ski trips or buy skis or order the nachos if they’re gonna share. I remember several years ago you had a hotel booked at Stowe and it was a forecast of rain and you had the chance to fly to the Colorado and you were in the fence..and me best salesman convinced you to go..and you even went to the mint. Next time visit @Barb

Yup was thinking that as well..Matt edge was talking about renting a cabin at Stowe..maybe Waterbury would be better between stowe and the bush.
-
The video you post the other day was rad..with a little bit of commentary. If you wanna do a follow cam of me I’ll buy you a five pack of Yoo hoo has to be on challenge.

Are there even any candle shops or taco shops near Blue..camelback is way better. @saltyant is even thinking about getting a locker there and a membership to their courtyard coffee talk after first tracks. -

Remember to use sunscreen for afternoon sessions..and practice smart style. -
Try saying peak to peak poconos pass perks five times fast I dare you. At least we know early bird is until April third…
-
Yeah I’m prob gonna have to bite the bullet and buy ikon and would be rad if there’s some sort of discount or perk for blue passholders. For awhile they were giving Jackson hole season passholders base passes but that’s one of the flagship Ikonics. Plus if I’m on ikon I can ski with you and salty at camelback.
-
I get it and sorry I don’t think I blasted you…if Schif or Salty or JFDan or anybody said they are thinking of not buying a pass I’d be like WTF..why?? Cause I like seeing all of y’all at Blue.. Friends can ask questions and goof like atomic picking which lift…or saying how to carry skis..or him calling me a pussy if I choose to sleep in over skiing..or saying I ski slow which I do sometimes relatively…don’t let it bug you we all like seeing you at Blue and I’m not buying my pass till March or April and prob do payment plan.. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
-
Yeah not for people who ski Blue 2-4 days a week…and number of days would be 5 on the base Ikon pass and 7 on the full Ikon pass.
-
Is this April fools day? You thinking about going back to Jack Frost/Big Boulder?
-
That’s pretty typical for holidays.
-
Pretty much since this thread is pure speculation. How was Elk today?

See the weather…we had snow the other day…first day back for off peak passholders…also a lot of the boomers skipped the weekend due to crowds and skipped yesterday because they thought it would be crowded but it apparently wasn’t due to all the lifts running and 8am start. Definitely a lot of once a year folks out today. -
My guess is moderate crowds. We don’t have presidents week in PA..just presidents weekend and most kids were off school yesterday and this past Friday and maybe half of people were off work yesterday. The rest of this week is normal but I say moderate crowds due to the nice weather and recent snow. what time were you at Blue Friday? Welcome to PASR

Camelback GM on “The Storm Skiing Podcast”

The person speaking on the podcast is the managing director. That’s a lot different than a general manager. They’re not gonna know all the technical ins and outs. -

Wow that’s crazy we need to celebrate next Wednesday as it will be the one year anniversary of when Root stopped logging into PASR. Imagine how much stuff he has to catch up on. I’m lucky if I can go an hour without checking PASR -
