  1. First of all here’s info on the new resort north of Whistler. https://snowbrains.com/north-americas-newest-ski-resort-offer-year-round-skiing-largest-vertical/ And here’s a thread on newest ski resorts in America . Cherry Peak in Utah with 1265 vertical feet opened in 2015 Tamarack in Idaho 2004 Silverton Colorado 2002.. mount Bohemia in Michigan 2000 also revelatoke opened in 2007 https://blog.liftopia.com/newest-ski-areas-in-us/ Here in PA Whitetail opened in the early 90s.
  2. Next we have to pray for some more cold. I have to remind myself it’s only 11/22 and this is normal weather. Last weeks cold was a bonus.
  3. Looking like a washout Sunday.
  4. In Aspen they’re selling more homes due to millennial tech millionaires and foreign investors
  5. If anybody cares truBlue ski shop is open 10-4 this weekend..website is saying 9-9 both Saturday and Sunday. I wish they were better with Facebook updates this week to keep people stoked. I’m ready to ski..this has been a long week...seemed easier to go the almost 7 months of my offseason than the last 5 days.
  6. The new ski resort north of whistler looks cool.
  7. I don’t think I’ve even typed the word Pendulum before. Did you ever read the Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allan Poe??
  8. Must be my inner pendulum
  9. Did you have a cell phone on you? I never ski with my phone at blue unless I’m doing a real time report but on ski trips I do. They actually say you should ski woods in groups of three...if one person were to get hurt then somebody can stay with the injured skier while the other person gets help. Tree wells are pretty scary. Matt Stunts dad died at Steamboat from getting stuck in a tree well. Even this last season at Jackson hole I got pulled into one just off the side of the trail to take a piss...
  10. Turning point of the Lehigh valley.
  11. Edit i looked it up they have a tent.
  12. Aren’t their concerts outdoors...do they have a grandstand???
  13. Gotcha I always wonder what kind of stuff married people with kids have up on the weekends..I just donated $50 to charity so let’s hope that gives some extra good karma for skiing on Sunday.
  14. Gotta keep the stockholders happy. They probably brought in an efficiency expert like in Office Space. I can understand businesses that operate in today’s clinae have to be lean and efficient.
  15. Are your Saturday AM plans important?
  16. It always seems to rain on Sundays and also since TP4 is off on Thursdays Thanksgiving kind of sucks for him.
  17. If there’s rain in the forecast for Sunday they’ll probably pull the plug to cut down on operating expenses. If there’s frozen precip it will be some freezing rain right before daybreak on Sunday. If they pull the plug it will likely be Saturday PM..it’s gonna rain maybe 1/10 of an inch. If the race team was in session they’d be open..I don’t care that much I was looking forward to 6 days in this month but I guess 5 will have to do. Gotta get a head start for if they have to shut down in December.
  18. The only difference between the 8am and 9am opening is that it’s busier right off the bat. Maybe a little snowmaking early Saturday AM. Otherwise no real snowmaking until after thanksgiving at least.
  19. I always mix the gin blossoms up with counting crows. Are people going to stand in the snow to watch the concert??
  20. Kathi from the live chat said open 9-9 on Saturday as I suspected. Really no reason for them to open at 8..remember this is bonus skiing.
  21. Sunday chance of showers until 11am.
  22. Nevada is the most mountainous state but Alaska has the most mountains
  23. Yeah was gonna say toast knew about this Sunday.
  24. Sounds radical.
  25. Owen Leapers edit from last year at Jackson hole. 2:45 in for the win. https://www.jacksonhole.com/blog/owen-leepers-season-edit-is-insane/?fbclid=IwAR0O24G4sZDMeOknCiWZ-6IQ_feN38P_m7QZx5wR9YsjtREconqS0g2SvdU
