Today I’m optimistically thinking maybe just maybe I’ll be able to ski a little bit later this month…my knee being wrapped makes a big difference. Without skiing and minimal sleep until last night, this was by far the longest weekend.

Yeah right more like next season

The last 48 hours since Friday morning has not been great for me. By Friday night lots of swelling above my knee…I walked maybe 50 steps to the lobby to pick up my Uber eats and that was a chore. Sleeping was tough, minor depression and PTSD..Atomic Jeff said I’m dramatic, yeah maybe. Yesterday made an adventure to the vending machine and mustered up the strength to go to the mini market last night for Zyn, pretzels and some drinks…they also sell crutches in Uber eats. Today went to Patient first around 10am…nobody was there, had x rays, doctor thinks it’s some sort of sprain…wrapped up knee, gave me anti inflammatory prescription and I bought crutches…they suggested going to Walmart cause cheaper or borrowing from a friend..nah I didn’t want to hobble around Walmart. I also was taught how to use the crutches, never used them before. So my attitude is better now, trying to be positive, missing skiing sucks but I need to be better for day to day life. I’m supposed to help with deliveries tomorrow..I don’t know.

Smart you’ll get an extra 42 hours out of your brakes doing that.

That stinks but one day has to be the worst and at least you weren’t limping back to your car..just gotta set the bar really low and it’s not spring it’s February for a couple more hours.

Nice report..a few years when I was in college Bolton wasn’t operational and I hiked it a few times with skis, I only skied lift served there once and was night skiing so not as much open. Looks like an incredible amount of snow on the ground there and should stick around awhile.

I don’t think I’ve ever been OK wahahahah…but if you see me pussyfooting down stuff tomorrow you know why, I’m already planning on Paradise first give challenge a break for a second, just like I avoid the stretch of road old lady crashed into me.

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 825am and it was partly sunny with a temperature in the upper 30s with moderate winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, NMSki, Mark, Bethlehem ford crew minus Bethlehem ford guy, Oz, Airhead and some others. First run on Main Street was ok, a little crusty and a little soft..Challenge was solid cord but with every skier turned to straight cookies. Coming soon was decent and I skied that twice as was lazy mile. I returned to challenge later when the rest were on Sidewinder and it was so cookied up and I was telling myself ski on top of the snow not in it and a second later my ski got grabbed and I got twisted around for my first fall in two years. My calf/knee is sore but I don’t think it’s anything serious. When I left at 1030am the temperature was up to about 45 degrees.. Now back at work like a dork, already sold a tombstone over the phone. Hey all, It’s almost the weekend and now spring skiing at least temporarily. Is anybody going to be in the house? I’m planning on tomorrow and Saturday for opening to enjoy the spring skiing…Sunday I might skip as it’s gonna get down into the teens Saturday night and expecting craptastic conditions Sunday so might use as an excuse to go out and party rock Saturday night. Reminds me of when Copper mountain had a Club Med and there was even a movie called Copper mountain starring a young Jim Carrey

Hey All, I’m back from another fun AM session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 830an and it was mostly cloudy with the temperature in the upper 30s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er, Rodney, Oz, Bethlehem Ford crew and a handful of others. I began on the super summit safari six pack to Main Street which is now full width, they moved Barney’s bumps to Coming soon. Main Street was nice soft cord on the top half and a little firmer lower down, next was razors which was very good and good grooming, a little firmer than Main Street. Challenge was great hero cord for 2/3 of the way and right before falls got a little crumbly, falls is always pretty bad and a compression after the falls. I repeated Challenge then coming soon which wasn’t that good scrappy and firm and lower paradise was similar. Back to challenge and razors and razors had a good amount of Boilerplate and clouds increased which I think slowed down the melting. Back to the SSSS and I wanted the fresh cord on come around an X-ing..Main Street still ok until the bottom which was a pit of stiff crud. Last run I was gonna do switchback but a bunch of herbs were beginning on switch so I skied an empty lazy which was decent more winter like than spring to boardercross to Central Park to the men’s room to my car and now sitting in my car outside work rocking out to Ludacris and texts galore from office manager. Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 715am and it was in the mid 20s under mostly sunny sky’s with light winds. In the house was everybody except Root, Toast, AngryHugo, TP4, Salty and Matt Edge. Second civilian OG six pack to challenge which was real nice lipstick on a pig grooming..second run was still good, third run was pretty much destroyed cookieville. Lazy mile was good on the top 2/3 with a little new manmade. Coming soon they seeded some new bumps and it was pretty slick. Switchback was ok and I got an empty run on it. I also skied one run on nightmare to Dreamweaver and while it’s a diversion from the crowds, they really ruined that run with features. I ended the session on Burma and it was hilariously slick…fun parking lot, I had a few beers and some cheese doodles and now at work counting money, gonna grocery shop and do the wash. JADIP

Hey all, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was 20 degrees under mostly sunny sky’s. In the house was everybody except Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, TP4, Zonked, Toast, Root and Nancy. First run on Challenge was super nice almost western groomer, second run was similar..then Switchback was pretty nice although super dark. Lazy mile was alright and I enjoyed the left side of Nightmare to Dreamweaver park. A revisit to challenge and it got trashed in the first 45 minutes a pit of ice and cookies. They blew some snow on tuts lane, Widowmaker and I think chute and all those areas weren’t very good. Coming soon was decent and I did a full run on Burma which was good except one of the corners was porcelain boilerplate..I ended on lazy for ten runs by 945am. Fun parking lot and pleasent weather. All in all better than expected since they had all three high speeds going. It got super busy the last few runs and after I quit for the session. JADIP
