  4. 1/24/24… Day 1 of 7. Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Jackson Hole mountain resort. This morning dawned warm and a little foggy with temperatures in the 30s in the valley and 20s on the mountain. As mentioned earlier there was a car wreck which delayed our arrival by about 30+ minutes but still we’re about to get on the gondola around 910am. First run was amphitheater almost zero visibility..snow was good..not 4” new but about 2”. Up the Thunder lift and down Grand which was 3D snow and hard to see again. Up the Sublette chair and did Rendevous trail first which was nice and empty, some visibility on the lower half. The new South Pass traverse from Sublette to Thunder chair is way better and more direct. Back to Thunder and skied Laramie bowl..which bad vis, it was almost like a funnel from the top so east to stay in a tight line without venturing to far off and bottom half good visibility so you could let the skis run. Then back up Sublette to Bivoac which were big bumps and my first Moe Ghouls of the season. Then back to Thunder again and another Laramie bowl to Sublette. At the top of Sublette Atomic Jeff and Mute wanted to ski the Hobacks and I didn’t want to so I went back to Laramie bowl again then traversed to Casper area, then took Blacktail to Sundance gully to the base. I was a little early to meet the boys so just took the teewinot lift up once to kill a few minutes. Back at the base and Mute and Atomic Jeff were there and we took teewinot to Apres Vous the skied Werner or Hanna to Teton lift then up Teton lift and down wide open to stash park back to apres vous chair and up apres vous again. By this point I had my Phil like Mickelson and skied down to the base..snow was getting a little spring like a choppy. Mute skied a little bit more. We then had lunch at the Mangy Moose…tonight’s supper is at Gather…I also just did a little work getting 1099s ready to send out. Fun fun fun.
  5. Couple pictures. I’ve skied 6-7 runs so far. AJeff and Mute are testing out the hobbers and I’m meeting them at the base in a few. foots not bad but only did one mogul run but a lot of 3D snow.
  6. Made it to gondola at 910. It’s a ghost town here.
  7. Moving again head on crash between pickup and SUV near the Aspens. Maybe the first time I won’t be waiting around for lifts to open.
  8. We are in a bit of a pickle as there’s a car wreck two miles up the road.
  9. 4” new upper mountain, 2” new mid mountain.
  10. Waiting to see how much new snow is reported on the hill. We’re hoping maybe 4”
  11. https://unofficialnetworks.com/2024/01/23/killington-employee-fired/amp/
  12. Depends how their skier visits and Books look.
  13. Hey All, I’m here in Jackson hole with Atomic Jeff and Mute, NMSki and Dirtwolf arrive on Thursday. Flight from Newark was at 10:09am EST and me and atomic Jeff arrived at the Jh airport at 12:46pm MST. Went to the 49er, rooms weren’t ready yet. Back to the airport and picked up Mute from his Chicago flight. Back to the 49er, Mutes room was ready and me and AJeffs not ready. We then went to the brewery for a late lunch and finally checked in. Gonna relax a little and then maybe have some supper. It’s super warm in town, upper 30s and not much snow. Looks like the mountain should ski well due to the 5-6 feet they’ve received the past two weeks. Also some snow shower activity. Not many pictures so far, the cloud ceiling was low so I didn’t take any pics from the sky.
  14. 21 skiers rescued in the killington back country. Getting lost is scary..the backside of killington is wilderness and there are no roads for several miles and once dark not easy to back track. https://www.wcax.com/2024/01/21/more-than-dozen-skiers-snowboarders-rescued-killington-backcountry/?outputType=amp
  15. +++++VIBES+++++ We were actually wondering where you were yesterday returning to the lot.
  16. Is the Stevenson lift still broken down?
  17. I thought people pay at a kiosk.
  18. My guess is that’s the line for people to pickup their tickets from kiosk. I guess they have to wait until a specific time to begin. I haven’t been up there at the summit lodge in over two years.
  19. Or on the flip side don’t waste good Mountain Dew mixing it with whiskey.
  20. I think we know who Rodney is.
  21. Prob lots of Mellow yellow in those parts.
  22. Kyle you know there’s an annual convention of Kyles..you better believe there’s plenty of monster energy drink
  23. What do you think about mogul skiers now doing aerials. Used to be that a good mogul skier from the Midwest with a few tricks up their sleeve like a daffy, spread eagle, backscratcher and helicopter could drive out to Squaw valley and meet up with other hot doggers and dominate the scene. Then Johnny Mosely came along and hosting the real world/road rules challenge selling fake Ray Bans..and then Sean White comes along, hate it or love it the underdog is on top..so I’m a fan..and Danny Kass straight out of jersey.
  24. You’re at a mountain you drink Mountain Dew and you fist bump your homeys…we all have different tastes..I’d be surprised if VTMark was drinking a vanilla latte or Mute was having a mikes harder blue raspberry which I heard are delicious. Different slopes for different folks with an emphasis on stoke. People really got after it in the 2” that fell yesterday. A ride up the OG six pack revealed lots of tracks on the MBike trails and sidewinder..people really got after it. One lift ride..on one of the corners of lower sidewinder a skier was eyeballing cutting the corner which is easy for us noob it’s intimidating and our chair and the one behind with Indiggio and slim and the bumpers were all like Send It…that’s the sort of thing that makes blue fun. Also the runaway ski..I’m really surprised warren miller never filmed at Blue…no need to drive all the way to Hunter to film some B roll.
  25. See my long term memory is grate but short term hmmm couldn’t pinpoint who said that..thanks @sal1355 @SallyCat lives in Vermont and isn’t far from mount snow but she’s closer to Killington and Okemo.
