Because the 49er has free breakfast and is closer to the bagel place and I stayed there 10 years in a row. Even though the rooms are exactly the same as the 49er at elk country I’d still rather have stayed at the 49er. Last year was $$$$ because we could park right in front of rooms and not have to schlep our luggage and gear through interior mazes and hallways.

Good: Powder on the Grand Bad: Zipper Malfunctions in the Men’s room in grand woods Ugly: Lying in treewell on back in grand woods.

Good: Always having enough towels at the Elk country Inn Bad: Not staying at the 49er Ugly: Vacation constipation.

Another 3” new and snowing at Jackson hole. Shazam. The 400” mark is approaching. Good: The Ikon Pass is bringing a lot of first time visitors to Jackson hole Bad: The jaded locals are anti Ikon passholders ugly: The best skier on the mountain is an Ikon passholder.

Blue is expecting 3-5”...all the schools are cancelled. I bet the glades will be really good this weekend.

This storm is going as scheduled. Still looks like 4-6” before a changeover. I’ll probably shutdown work early.

Oh and I didn’t mention in thread I skied in my new pants for the first time. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me but first new ski pants in about 11 years. They’re better than expected. Yes a little long but not out of the ordinary.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun evening session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 620pm just a minute too late to see NMSki in his righty whities. Also in the house were Johnny Law, Atomic Jeff, Indiggio and Denise. The temperature was around 30 with light winds and a full moon. First run was down Main Street and it had a few bumps and some sugar and even a few Root rollers. Next run on lazy mile was crazy mile and not the best snow. Paradise was the run of the night smooth and semi fast and no SP3000. One run on Dream Weaver was filled with unmarked Root rollers and Switchback was smooth and slick...I skied until 830 and the boys did another run or two then had two beers and some of Schifdawgs famous cheese balls in the lot. All in all a fun night session and only a handful of buses. JADIP

The weather forums are showing frontogenetical forcing could give a nice solid front end thump to the area..looking like sleep later in the afternoon. 4-6” would be nice to see...followed by some crust..followed by rain..followed by warmth and more rain this weekend.

I found a coffee cup from the waffle Haus in my trunk..dafuk..I think it was one of the Twins..is this some sort of remake to the Parent Trap I’m not aware of..my poles went missing again but I found them...my spidey senses were tingling. Anyway I’ll be at Blue in a few hours making some night moves with NMSki, Atomic Jeff, Maybe Mute, Maybe Ryan maybe Stewie from family guy and Law, TTC6 and a notorious BIg looking guy in the red and black lumberjack with the hat to match. Matt Edge is grading papers.

Sounds like Pennsylvania weather..there might be a short good window at Blu in the afternoon. I’ll stay tuned. I’d rather it start snowing very early morning so I can just call off work. I’m not that happy about 10am start time but things will change. I know last weeks storm began several hours later than forecast.
