In Jackson hole it’s..ride bike to a lake..swim across lake..summit grand Teton..climb back down the grand, swim back across the lake..ride back to Jackson..refill Nalgene bottle in a mountain stream then hop on a wild elk and ride off into the sunrise.

New year means introspection and gosh the blue season is almost 1/3 over..wow just wow...now can we just have some polar vortex...a snowstorm or six and a partridge in a pear tree. Well but it’s in a track..I found the mountain coaster at camelback kind of herky jerky was not a fan but I loved the alpine slide even though it was semi dangerous. Here’s a video from a Zorb accident in Russia.

There’s people in Jackson hole who think just riding lifts is wimpy. They love when I say,”coming down”. At belleayre they say over the loudspeaker,”bar down” I’ve also seen ski patrollers at various areas telling people bar down.

It’s just crazy in the Rockies how few people use safety bars and sit nonchalant in the middle of a quad or six pack with the bar up and not holding onto anything. As much as I like the skiing at Loveland Colorado, almost every lift has no bar so I have a deathgrip and one day when it was really windy my fat skis were being picked up like sails. Was extra spicy.

They’ll open back up a few days or weeks later. Blue mountain gets knocked down but they get up again.

The person doesn’t even know the details of the story. People who “ski” at the bar wonder why I bother with blue since they may have been to Colorado or Vermont 3 years ago. Other folks just don’t know how it’s possible that blue still has snow because it was sixty today. I try and pay them no mind...bunch of dumbdickmotherfuckers. Salty where were you today? Wow and Johnny Law says it’s a moving couch...a very slippery one. I just took a nap and woke up to two texts about that incident.

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 721am and in the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, Indiggio, TP4, Slim, GahSkier George, Antman, Gary, MBike Mike, Mrs snowbunski, Dude4Bides girlfriend, feel Matt and many more. The day began with 50 degree temperatures along with peppered bacon and mimosa. Was a leisurely start and were on second chair. Wow just wow Main Street was good once you got past the first skeet spot..smooth and soft corn woo woo..paradise was pretty good as week and the falls was incredible so smooth..Eddie money shit I’d take two tickets to paradise if paradise was the falls earlier. Fun session skied till almost 10 then had some beers in the lot..and one of MBike mikes famous beef and cheese sangs..hit the spot. Now back in the A..hoping the temperature drops nice and low tonight so some snowmaking will occur in the early AM. JADIP

Ahhh well we’ve had five weeks of skiing so far this season. I truly believe we’ll have a season with no local skiing in our lifetime. This isnt as bad if a start as three seasons ago. That’s when JF was actually open over Xmas week but just one top to bottom and Blue was only open two days in December and closed until I believe January 8th...xmas week of 2011 was also very limited terrain.
