  1. Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I made near record time to Blue about 32 minutes door to door and arrived at the lower lot before 720am. It was overcast with a temperature of 37 degrees. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, BenM, Mute, Ryan, Indiggio, Gary, GahSkier George, Ben Edge, Dirtwolf, Mixilplix, TP4 and many more. Again there were issues with the super safari six pack first thing…first run on easy out to vista to midway to lower main was ok until lower main which was a mine field of uneven grooming and fuckery. Up the quad and the run in to Coming soon was thick sugar..not that pleasent. Coming soon was smooth semi edgeable washboard..normally it wouldn’t be that good but compared to other stuff it was decent. Lower Paradise was the most challenging skiing as there’s a lot of bare areas and in between the bare areas is all rolly polly. Skied several laps on coming soon then gave midway to Main Street another go and it sucked. Then I skied Burma for the first time in a few weeks and while busy, coverage wasn’t bad until the end and surface was deep sugar. Crowds today were semi light..security guy said 40 people parked in the paid parking yesterday and now the area in front of the valley lodge is one way and alot aren’t observing that and driving over the cones. Also talk on the walkie talkie of people bringing their own sleds out onto the ski slopes. Seems like a good way to enjoy the place for free. The parking lot was the chilliest 40 degrees ever with a clouds, a breeze and damn air. I almost needed my gloves..had two beers and peaced out..I’ll be back tomorrow, I don’t really wanna ski but have housekeeping at 8am and don’t wanna go to work. it will be interesting to see if they’re able to blow some snow this week. I expect the same terrain to be open next weekend but if snowmaking conditions are really good, maybe they can reopen paradise and lazy mile. JADIP
  2. Apparently Aspen is never really busy and the crowd there are not voracious powder hounds. Different crowd than the resorts that attract front range locals and most of those Denver peeps are gapers who ski ten days a year.
  3. You can’t even see the back of your jacket, just leave it there or be like Toast and make blue replace the jacket.
  4. I’m not on wide skis at blue generally. 96 under foot which feels like slalom skis to me. Even most of the bumpers have got medium fat skis for 80% of the time when there aren’t bumps.
  5. Oh he’s definitely a Karen.
  6. @Barb do you have a season pass at Aspen? Snowmass is the best for intermediates. Also those mountains don’t need a lot of snow to be almost fully open. 30-40” base only. Awesome reports!!! Barb that gouge in your skis is nothing. You should see some of our skis but for piece of mind would be easy to get it smoothed out and filled in with p Tex. You’re lucky it didn’t affect the edge.
  7. @saltyant that was nice of you to offer to trade a banana for NMSkis beef stick. He had plenty of beef sticks. No worries.
  8. Race team was cancelled today. Sad.
  9. Language is always evolving…
  10. I’ve felt pretty good drove right by McDonald’s this AM..and had plenty of time for that or Wawa or sheetz made to order breakfast still have time for that and kept driving…and I @saltyant didn’t offer me a Yoo hoo. I’m hoping for a Capri sun one of these days..those are refreshing but the straw is tricky.
  11. I made my first jump turn of the season through the bumpers standing at the top of Coming Soon..BenM saw my agility..yes I’m an agile mofo except crossing streets and in bathrooms in ski boots.. I really didn’t want to go skiing today..but I was still happy I went and will go tomorrow…and then prob gonna go on NYD…it’s impossible to get Herpes if you don’t go out on NYE…
  12. I’m still laughing at this @Ski2Live Live2Ski
  13. Ok I saw salty. Thanks for offering NMSki a banana.
  14. Shadows stop trolling. You know me I get by with a little help from my friends, I get high with a little help from my friends and I’m gonna try with a little help from my friends.
  15. Hey All, I’m finished with another session at Blue mountain the true mountain. This report is actually being written in the lot at Blue as I just quit and am the only one in the lot. I arrived at the lower lot before 720 and it was overcast and 33 degrees. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Indiggio, Tarpenhead, Matt Edge, Dirtwolf, NMSki, Tommy, Enjorales, Mixilplix, TP4, Pops and many others. First went to the super safari six pack and wasn’t first chair as there were gate issues. Easy out and vista were ok and midway still not terrible but lower Main Street was a mine field and cookies and dirt. Then took the quad and coming soon was decent edgeable semi smooth hardpack and lower paradise was spicy. I lapped that for the next hour or so and had my fill. It’s not very crowded today considering it is a holiday. Now JFDan and BenM are in the lot so time does some fun lol
  16. @saltyant I don’t see you at blue. Are you at camelback today?
  17. Montage doesn’t have any blacks open just upper mountain flat terrain.
  18. Wow 1200 vert now. Base starts at 0..
  19. I mean..I don’t think so and because you brought he/him/Jerry up I’ll find his Xmas song. Ski2Live is the short guy singing about Colorado and his girlfriend is the blonde. Usually I prefer blondes but the brunette is a smokeshow. I’m gonna hire her for singing lessons.
  20. Can steal a couple of extra plastic forks and knives which will come in handy cutting up a hot dog into thirds..rumor has it, if you ski a few runs with Ski2Live, he might give you a jolly rancher he got from some office candy jar. I go right for the Reese’s or mystery dum dums
  21. Thanks for all the reports..I was up early but didn’t really feel like skiing. Yesterday I didn’t really feel like skiing especially driving in the fog and rain but the runs were enjoyable and glad I got the last of upper paradise and the last of lazy mile the other day. I’m going tomorrow with zero expectations. I think it could be spicy out there. If coming soon to lower paradise is still open and they’ve patched up the Nile river crossing, that might be a bit quieter. I hate all that vista jazz and the crossover from lower vista to upper midway my head is on a swivel. ski some of y’all tomorrow.
  22. That’s what I like to hear. Remember when Ski2Live was saying how the vending machines in the hotel attached to the waterpark are cheaper than in the lodge?? Could prob save tree fiddy on some steeze Itz and a bottle of fizzy pop.
  23. How was navigating the double black Diamond??
