  1. A reason I like Jackson hole is the relatively low altitude. I have suffered from altitude sickness in Aspen and summit county.
  2. Aspen doesn't have the sustained steeps as Jackson hole but doesn't have the powder hounds as well. I thought you were big into bumps and tree skiing and Aspen is a groomer skiers paradise. Highlands has the most expert terrain, snowmass the most intermediate and is the largest and Aspen mountain is short steeps and pretty narrow and small under 1,000 acres. As for the $$$$ for a tourist lodging is a bit more expensive and things like food and lift tickets are similar to major western resorts. When I was there I stayed at Johnny styles house near the campground area of snowmass. It completely dumped. This is view from my room and the deck.
  3. Aspen has been open weekends only in May before..even June one year I believe. Would just be Aspen mountain Ajax. What is bringing you to Aspen in may? It will likely just be Abasin open in Colorado then.
  4. Eaf I think you'd like Aspen..
  5. I'm down for Saturday March 10th!!
  6. I should SU..
  7. Never. The chart is when Easter is every year first date is western Easter and second date is Easteen (Greek). Blue has never ever been open past Easter. If Easter is in March they close the day before(Saturday) if possible and if it's in April they don't make it that long. Blue is very predictable. It's easy since it's run by a bunch of Jabronies
  8. Very rare to pay window rates even mid season..there are some great lift/lodge/airfare deals. The boys who went to JH got $200 flight credits from Jackson hole central reservations. If you go to Colorado, Barb can hook you up with buddy passes for winter park or copper mountain which is like 40% off.
  9. The next week comment was directed at Toast who has a week off work.
  10. Toast you should go on a ski trip with NMSki so it will snow.
  11. You should go next week when you have your spring break.
  12. Last season?? Was there an April snowstorm??? Because last season within a week of closing the snow almost completely vaporized away.
  13. The last time they closed the day before Easter was 2008. In 2016 they closed a week before Easter.
  14. Not by Blue by me..just like there are talks of Vail wanting to buy blue mountain
  15. They'll escort you out. No skiing allowed after the mountain closes. If it was national forest service land it would be fine but it's private property
  16. Last season we lucked into a 17" snowstorm and cold snowmaking weather. I never recall them staying open past an early Easter. I'll check back to be sure.
  17. The funny thing is this guy is poor lol
  18. I'd be thrilled with that.
  19. What's NE??
  20. Root...and I run my mouth at people all the time. Had an argument recently at the bar with somebody who doesn't like Donald trump and he's getting like $40 extra a paycheck due to his tax decrease and he wants to pay more taxes to help poors.
  21. Wow you're such an intellectual. I'm just eating breakfast now. Didn't get out of bed till 2
  22. Whenever I run my mouth on somebody I just wanna blame anxiety bahahahahaha HTFU
  23. Blue has way too many clinics and programs running this week to do that. They've never closed midweek this early. Plus the weather is good at least monday-Wednesday
  24. With Easter falling on Sunday April 1st the latest blue will be open is march 31st
