  1. well good sex is better than anything in the world. but bad sex is definitely not as fun as a bad day of snowboarding. its really awkward, and a good day of riding really trumps it. besides i've been without snow a lot longer than without sex so, let it fucking snow.
  2. So far he has GASP disclosed the location of a handful of the 150 snowguns - that was obviously a secret because JFBB only put out like 3 videos and a bunch of pictures on their website.
  3. What makes it worse is that at least there are some ugly desperate girls around that WOULD have sex with me when i snap my fingers, but snap my fingers and i still can't go ride bear creek, much less something better.

    the loft II

They shouldn't walk up and ask people if 'they need any help', because it allows people to easily say 'no'. There is a line though, I try hard to not pester people at work but you also want to be there if they have questions.
  5. avoid the rome blue. Great board, but not for your daughter is a stiff riding board. K2 Luna, Ride Vista (same board really), Rome Vinyl, Burton Feather are good boards. Get the smallest size or the one closest to her size. Kids boards really aren't a good option if she is proficient, and a decent board will last. Agreed don't 'oversize' it because she will grow 'eventually'. Eventually is a long way away and you don't want to make things to big and make it difficult to ride because that burns up enthusiasm. Forumyoungblood, there is no reason to go into a mens board. I see this mistake a lot based on old perceptions of womens boards being inferior, but really there is no reason to go unless you have a really large foot. Mens boards are much wider and you won't like the feel going edge to edge on it, it would be like a guy going to a wide board. For comparison i have a size 12.5 foot and i'd rather cram my foot into a smaller boot and put on risers if need be than get a wide board because wide boards just aren't maneuverable. Don't take an SUV out and expect it to be a sports car. If you want a higher end womens board the K2 Mix is really solid, as is the Rome Blue. Arbor makes great womens boards as well, but i would take them in that order. I don't know any women riding the Barret Christy Pro by GNU but it supposedly good as well. I know people riding the first three and I believe them because they are all good women riders.
  6. I could never do that drive alone but with people, not so bad. Longest drive I've done so far was 5 hours without a stop alone. I could see a cross country road trip would be a sweet experience for a group of friends. i don't think i'd be rushing to get there though, how many times do you drive across the country in your life? I'd want to check some states out and there isn't that much snow yet. I've been watching the PC webcam a lot looking at the snow, I can't wait to get out there.
  7. I agree with that except for the upslope box. The way it was set up at creek, it was next to a step down jump and shared the landing, so it would throw you as if you had just gone off the jump at the end and it was a good 15-20 foot drop to the landing if you had speed. It wasn't a 8 foot drop back down to a short landing, it was a plastic jump.
  8. We'll see doug, they will be measured this year and the truth will be told.
  9. yea none of those guys doing urban drops are dropping onto hardpack. They're dropping onto loose snow that gets landed on once, twice, between getting fixed up. Thats a far cry from snow that has been compressed a lot. As long as it is as steep as a jump landing it will be fine, but I wouldn't expect it to feel good if it is flat and hard.
  10. I thought they were taller than that, I don't know why but I was thinking like 900 vert each? Oh well.
  11. Any idea when Hunter is going to open? Thats the earliest one I'll be seeing most likely.
  12. really? Isn't JF like 1,000? I didn't really it was that short that is somewhat disappointing.
  13. Those jibs look really solid. They actually look heavier built than the ParkLogic/JibLab boxes which hold up year after year (unlike the camelback/shawnee/most mountain cheapo wood/metal boxes) Smooth as hell and good proportions. The flat-down looks perfect size for a gap to down setup which are so fun. The down-flat-down is probably too big for most to gap to that bottom down but looks super smooth for riding it full length which is sweet because the only other down-flat-down i've tried is mountain creeks which is smaller than that one. The ledge box is super sexy. If that ledge is over the stairs (i think thats the idea) it is going to be scary as hell, damn that looks good. Wall ride is a wall ride I hate wall rides because i've had bad experiences. The cliff looks good but they're going to have to build up the snow for the landing, which means it won't be that tall unless they build a lip on top, but props for trying something new I can't wait to hit that. Did it start snowing yet? I'm living in a dorm with no heat so it feels like winter thats for sure.
  14. Don't worry gurp hes just baiting people now. We'll been through this before, when the season comes up I'm measuring and bringing a camera and making a fucking February smack down comparison. See what all the parks look like in high season and compare it. What is BB's vert?
  15. Thats the money box right there shit, i'm looking for the frontside board to slow ass 270 out with a nice grab, or nose press to 180 out off that, oh man I can't wait to see people destroy it. Big upslope boxes are the most stylish of any jib. Even more so than a long smooth downslope.
  16. Yea and you should see the pictures of the guys skis in the trip reports afterwards. Two words, rock skis. They get 2 or 3 feet of powder, that packs down to like 6" of base if you ran a snowcat over it, which we all know is not deep enough to open.
  17. Its actually China that does all the hardcore cloud seeding
  18. True that. Its going to be a hard choice for me though because Bear Creek is closer so I'm i'm not sure if JF>Bear Creek, but I do think BB>Bear Creek. Damn this is new, having a hard time choosing becuase there are so many good parks in PA.
  19. It kind of depends on the manufacturer, Justo is right on some boards, and other boards the board is the same shape all the way around, but the core is differant. Usually the part of the board that is the 'tail' is stiffer, so you get more ollie pop, better landings etc. Then when you go switch the board rides the same, but there is less wood on the 'nose' so it doesn't ollie as well, but it is lighter.
  20. did i mention JFBB is going to be nasty this year? its things like this (responsive crew) that make us pissed that BB is closed during the day cuz we want to ride ParkLogic shit over everyone elses this season. But as long as there are some bigger things at JF we hit that up. And take lunch break 2-3 as we drive over to BB to get first chair in a few groomed park. I like it.
  21. I agree with Dominant, its a deal breaker for the season pass to JFBB. I'm feeling JFBB on the weekends, Blue/Bear Creek on the weekdays, mountain creek when I'm home in january.
  22. So I was thinking, it looks like more of the stuff ParkLogic makes will be on Big Boulder as opposed to Jack Frost, except that Big Boulder is closed during the weekdays. That is bad for JFBB because think about who skis weekdays? Not high school kids unless they are cutting (a few kids a day no big deal). Not most adults becuase most adults have jobs that require them to be at work. So who are the people skiing? Mostly college students who can have random schedules during the week, have spending money, and then some random other people. Now what do college kids also happen to like more than any other group? The park. So if the best park is at Big Boulder and the stuff at Jack Frost is smaller, are the college kids as likely to show up? Wouldn't it be better for the company if they opened Big Boulder instead of Jack Frost to attract more kids? Adults will go where ever they want (and JF lift tickets during the week are more expensive than others), and considering there are faster lifts at other places, no people at any of the resorts, should JFBB stand on what their strength will be? So doesn't that make a case for opening BB instead of JF? A lot of speculation, but I'm kind of mad right now that on the week days BB won't be open because the crowd issues on the weekend scare me so I was hoping to hit up some great park lines when it was empty, and I can't get to Mountain Creek after Feb 5th, so it looks like Bear Creek or Blue for me weekdays (doug I bet you and I end up taking a run at Blue some weekday this year if you ski as much as you did last year)

    New boots

You'll find a lot of park skiers that are fucking with their shells like that, I know a guy who ground down his shell with a dremel tool to make it softer fore and back and other crap like that, that all says to me boots for park skiers need more improvement but we're moving in the right direction.

    New Tele skis

What shops around here do tele?
  25. I'm not sure what grade steel most of the rails are made out of, but realize without a lot of traffic on the rails they do rust up so I think its not stainless. I'm not sure what the silver rails are made out of, ie the 40 footer at mountain creek.
