  1. how does A lift not have the capacity to handle all the park rats like B lift? theyre both quads? both made by doplmayr. pretty sure theyre the same damn lift.
  2. i think im going to chime in on this. first off, Tom, hopefully you guys can get a good setup going in cascade. second. this gaper shit needs to be controlled somehow in the park like everyone else said. its okay if you are learning park and are falling off rails and jumps and whatever else. its the idiots who go through the park and do not hit a single thing, cut across the knuckles and landings of jumps, jump off the lips of rails, etc. its crazy. i watch molly get snaked on literally every single thing she went to hit in the park on sunday but multiple people who were using black bear as just a skiing trail. at this point it comes down to safety for the "park rat" and the "gaper". Maybe bear needs to put out more fencing up top or more signs. Who knows, maybe a sign that says if you are not following park etiquette your pass may be pulled would send some people away from the park. Also, i have seen multiple experienced park riders try to tell a less experienced person in the park how to be safe in the park only to receive a foul look from said person. Race team and discovery groups, what the fuck are you guys doing in the parks? you have a whole trail on the other side of the mountain to play on. i dont mind if they ride park but they are not smart about it AT ALL. its a shame because they should know better. /endrant.
  3. im keeping my mouth shut on this one.
  4. not sure about rain. park was set up real nice yesterday. with 3 rails wide 3 rails deep theres a ton of different lines you can choose.
  5. I don't ride blue often if at all but i completley agree with blue on just blowing the Fuck out of sidewinder and opening it with a solid park build. Bears doing that now with cascade and your premier park should be something you take your time on, not something you rush.
  6. Oh yeah, Sasquatch is open. Took one run down it today. Icy but if yOu pick a line toward the left of the trail looking down it wasn't bad at all.
  7. And blue isn't!
  8. Everything is buried today. They pushed out the double hit kickers and made it one jump, not sure of the distance though I wanna say 20 to play it safe. The snow is piling up on cascade though. Huge whale where the cliff used to be. If anyone was there yesterday and saw the pile forming there it's about 3 times as big now. Hopefully the rain holds off tomorrow and they get some colder temps later in the week to blow some more on cascade. If they got another 2 or 3 nights of blowing on cascade I could see them building on it on the weekend or next week.
  9. you do realize this is only the second week with a fully built park right? hey its the 3rd week in january! thats great, we didnt open until AFTER january 1st.
  10. Non existent for the most part. Light crowd for a holiday
  11. Sarcasm? I've actually noticed at bear that if its bitter cold on the holidays the weekend warriors tend to hide out in the lodge until around lunchtime when the sun is out and the temp had gone up a bit. Then the shit hits the fan.
  12. looks like theyre currently blowing snow on the webcams. taking advantage of the cold temps.
  13. Doug lyfe. Pure gold. That's cool whoevers modifying my posts
  14. I highly doubt they're going.to do a new build. They haven't blown snow in almost a week and don't have a deep enough base to start moving things around. Unless Tom says otherwise don't expect s new build.
  15. everyone ready for the shit show tomorrow through monday?
  16. He's legally blind of course its hard for him to see in the fog. Gss, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiot things I have ever heard. at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may god have mercy on your sole.
  17. please tell me you arent serious.
  18. WHERE YOU AT VTSKI? now that bear is finally open you dont have anymore shit to talk?
  19. ehhh the base is slowly disappearing haha. they definitely need some cooler temps to at least blow some snow and freshen things up.
  20. today was alright. snow was heavy slush but somewhat fast. the mailbox to stairs is pretty fun. no lips or landings rutted out. bear was actually pretty empty today.
  21. I think Tom said he wants to wait until they can get a decent amount of snow down to have a good build rather than the usual early season cascade build. I could be wrong though.
  22. Agree with Doug 100% on this one. May not be enough to hurt them but its still lost money. Shit happens though
  23. sidenote: park crew is kicking ass this year. in the 6 days ive been at bear so far not once has anything in the park been missed. as soon as a rut forms in the lip or landing it seems like someone on park crew is there to fix it. i know they got a whole bunch of shit last year but damn they really stepped it up this year. good job fellas
  24. it does say non transferable i think. but if its re-loadable i dont see it being a problem if say i give it to my friend, he re loads it online, and goes to blue. but the mountain is losing money when someone sells it or gives it away in the parking lot.
  25. ill take you up on that if youre there tomorrow haha.
