  1. He reffered to it as springs which I thought was 7 springs out in western pa not spring mountain.
  2. Looks like they're blowing snow on the webcams. Kinda hard to tell though.
  3. the natives are getting restless.
  4. bears superpipe opens tomorrow right?
  5. Springs is on the complete opposite side of the state and in a different climate.
  6. comparing bear to boulder or any place in the pocs is like oil to water. it just wont happen. its been too warm down here lately. did they miss out on some chances to blow? yes. is there anything we can do about it? no. bear is doing the right thing by not announcing an opening date yet. if they say theyre gonna open monday and they dont then shit is gonna hit the fan worse then it is right now.
  7. yeah i live in the west chester area but im a broke college student. 45 bucks for gas, another 30-40 for a ticket, give or take 20 for food, 2+ hour drive alone just doesnt appeal to me right now. but who know, i might end up going anyway. and yeah i do go to kutztown but were on winter break now so ill be 2 hours away from boulder instead of 1
  8. well i might be in for blue on saturday since bear isnt opening and boulder/jf is just a little far for just a day trip since ill be flying solo.
  9. i wasnt saying to move fan guns to certain trails. obviously the pole mounted fan guns dont move. but they can certainly control what guns are on and which ones arent. do what boulder, blue, and everyone else are doing. focus on a couple trails. get those open, then blast the shit out of everything every chance you get. dont drag your feet.
  10. Yeah they did. It's bullshit. I was just there to check things out. They have thin coverage over every trail when they could have a decent base over a couple trails, open with that, then go from there.
  11. cant say for sure, but most likely. should be reasonable though. Jack frost usually opens with a decent amount of terrain to warrant paying full price for a ticket.
  12. saturdays forecast. Partly sunny, high in the mid 40s with a high chance of a race team douschebag take over
  13. Can't tell from the webcams how much snow they actually laid down, might stop by there later today after my final to check things out. I don't think we should completlety count the weekend out but with the rain coming in tomorrow they're defintely going to lose some snow. It'd be nice if they opened Saturday but I would still be fine with a Sunday or Monday opening.
  14. I've got a full car already or else I would. Look for me up there though, blue pants, grey/brown jacket, looks like a vest over a sweatshirt.
  15. goin up tomorrow after my 1st final. any chance more trails/another lift will be open?
  16. need more posts like this from you.
  17. for once i will agree with you, partially. it was cold enough but the water temp may have been to high.
  18. Bear didnt blow at all last night. and i have no idea why?
  19. ehhhh camel crushes? personally, i hate them. but its all about preference i guess.
  20. congrats on the new place barb. looks extremely nice.
  21. i mean every mountain is going to embellish their base depth but bear did blow it out of the water last year. a couple inches here and there is fine but they were overshooting by a foot and some change.
  22. yeah there was no way in hell that bear opened with the base they said they did last year.
  23. and this is the bear creek forum so no one gives a flying FUCK if blue tested their guns.
  24. going to buy new pants today. ive been looking at bonfire alot. anyone have any comments about bonfire just in general? good or bad.
