I think we need 3 measurements at 3 different points in the yard and take the average of the 3.

I can get my boots on in less than a minute because I rarely buckle the top two buckles until 5 or so runs in

Aka the JFBB method

I’m going with 17.3 at blue, and 7.8 at my house here in the mushroom capital

should've bought a damn pass

I asked on one of their FB posts and the comment was quickly deleted

I’m 29 and had to urban dictionary it, so you’re not the only one who didn’t know.

It’s not local thing. “showed out” is basically slang for “supported”.

I helped my grandfather pull his out of the barn yesterday and it started second pull, so likely chance we get no snow now

Enjoy opening day ladies and gentleman, I’m jealous.

And likely came from someone who had absolutely no intention of skiing anywhere this weekend let alone blue

That is also true. Hopefully the price increases on outdoor activities (golf, skiing) is due to the current situations. I’ve never seen greens fees as high as I did this year. Some places were damn close to double what they normally charge, but it is what it is. Gotta pay to play

That’s looking at the beginner area.

I’ll add to this that it doesn’t stop me from going, but it does make me play the “well is it worth it” game every time.

The only issue I have with it is that $79 for 4 hours is steep. $79 for an open-4pm I’d have no problem with. For me, at least, that now turns a saturday morning at blue into a $100+ day between the lift ticket, gas (94 miles one way), and food (Wawa, etc). The simple solution to this is to buy a pass, but as a single person with a house and student loan debt at sub $60k a year it kind of prices me out.

Must’ve been out past 10pm

Yup, I brought this up in October. It’s great they brought back the 4 hour ticket, but at $79 it’s a little steep considering the price of full day tickets at other places. I don’t necessarily think they did it as a deterrent to limit sales, but more along the lines of people will pay that in this current state of affairs. I saw it with golf this year, it seemed like every course had raised their prices by $15-$20 and it was nearly impossible to get a tee time before 2pm unless you were a member. The one course I played at regularly was charging $100 this year when it was $65 last year. I asked the pro why they increased the rate and his response was “people were willing to pay to play”

I usually take the dog for a walk around town at lunch as well as after work. I should start running though, especially since it looks like men’s league hockey isn’t going to start back up anytime soon.
-
Might be unpopular opinion but before my office closed permanently I was one of the people wanting to go back in a few days a week when safe. For me it was more along the lines of switching things up. Being in my house for 22 hours of the day is starting to get old.

I think that’s a common reaction
