  1. Isn’t that 90% of the threads?
  2. I took your original comment as a joke btw so no hard feelings there. My dad lost his hearing from years of not wearing ear protection while riding motorcycles with no mufflers, nascar races, drag racing, etc so in a way it was his own doing.
  3. Yeah that’s actually a huge problem right now. My dad wears hearing aids that work via the microphone in his iPhone (crazy right?) but there’s times when he doesn’t have them in and is out around people in masks and he’s told me how much harder it is to understand people because he can’t read their lips, just faintly hear what they say. In his words “I’ve never said excuse me, can you repeat that louder?” As much in my life, and he’s only deaf in one ear. I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone whose worse off hearing wise.
  4. No, it’s my half deaf cancer survivor father.
  5. “Taught” the dog to swim today. I had her in the pool before, but she never voluntarily went in by herself. Coaxed her in today with a toy and it took about 3 times before she realized she could get in and out via the stairs as she pleased.
  6. “Measure twice, cut once” approach imo. Keep it locked down longer now, to avoid possibly having to repeat steps 1,2,and 3 in the fall
  7. I had to have an extraction done so I didn’t really have a choice but to go. It was pretty much business as usual as far as precautions go. Call when you arrive, they come out and get you, wear a mask until they’re ready to go, wash your hands before and after, chair was covered in disposable plastic, temp check, dentist and hygienist had plastic face shields and some type of med suit on. It was about as comfortable as they could make it given the times.
  8. The dentist is an interesting place during all of this.
  9. I did curbside pickup from golf galaxy this morning, wasn’t bad there but the line to get into the home goods (or bed bath and beyond, couldn’t tell which) was ridiculously long. People are just out to be out
  10. Working on it. Had a whistler trip planned for april this year with a bunch of college buddies that I kept hush in hopes of an epic TR, that obviously didn’t happen. We’ll see what next year brings.
  11. Y’all are gonna laugh at my list. PA: JFBB, Bear Creek, Elk, Blue, Camelback VT: Killington, Sugarbush. I don’t get out much, but I can (somewhat) keep up with you guys so that counts, right?
  12. Same with Kennett (obviously smaller) but it was fun to watch them scatter at the first real good crack of thunder/lightning we got tonight
  13. I’ve driven it as well, at 150+. Track does not seem as big when you’re going into a corner at 150. Congrats
  14. I’m not a weather expert by any means, but I think being so close to the bay effects it, almost seems to “tear” the storm systems in half and we end up being in that split.
  15. The southeastern corner at the PA/MD/DE line where I live always seems to get missed. It’s almost like the systems split and go north and south east
  16. The mask has become a part of the “oh shit where’s this” pocket pat down whenever I leave the house. It still confuses me how people are so against wearing it for the 10-15 minutes they’re in a store or the 5 minutes they’re in Wawa in the morning. 300lb bubba who drives his 97 s10 to Wawa shirtless and smoking his 8th cigarette of the day at 7am puts his shirt on before going in no problem at all, but god forbid he has to wear a mask.
  17. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to the numbers after all of these protests settle down.
  18. Went out on the ATVs yesterday at Anthracite, it was a bit muddy to say the least.
  19. I think it is as well. The only issue I have with it, which is minuscule at best, is that I live right where it would be happening and I don’t want my front stairs or garden wall becoming a “bench” of sorts for those who don’t have a table (if they allow anything beyond table service). It already happens with the ice cream place being open. Actually had a lady and her kids sitting on my front steps yesterday eating ice cream complain that my dog was barking at them.
  20. I will after a week or so. There’s also been talk about shutting down the Main Street through town and allowing restaurants and bars to set up seating on the sidewalks and street during certain times (likely 4-8pm) so that could be cool to check out.
  21. PA to allow outdoor dining, even in yellow phase, starting June 5th. as for work from home, I enjoy it, but I’d be ready to go back to the office if allowed.
  22. Delaware allowing gatherings up to 250 provided they are outdoors and social distancing is followed. Quarantine rule for out of staters is getting axed as well.
  23. Yeah come take a ride through Chester county sometime, “stay at home” orders don’t apply to people here apparently
  24. Most likely. I’ve seen people on FB I know with Beach houses already heading down for the nice weather this weekend. It’s going to be tough to “regulate” the amount of people entering the beach and enforcing a 6ft rule. One of my friends lives in Tampa and him and his fiancé went to the beach last weekend, set up their stuff far away from anyone and STILL had someone come set up right next to them.
  25. Jersey shore to open up before Memorial Day.
