According to my Dad, who is an essential employee and works in DE, They’ve been pulling over out of state tags and inquiring why you’re in Delaware and where you are headed... he got nailed this morning. He showed him the paperwork from his company and the guy let him go. I’d assumed if you don’t have a legitimate reason to be there they’ll just tell you to turn around and go home, and if you’re caught again it’s a fine or something.

Just got a swift moving thunder/hail storm here in chester county.

My roommate is a cop so for the time being we’ve set up what is essentially a “decontamination” station in our garage (detatched) for when he comes home from work, shoes, belt, kevlar vest, etc stay in the garage and get sprayed, everything else gets put into a bag and hand washed immediately, inside of the car gets Lysol wiped down, all computer keys get cleaned, door handles cleaned, etc. it’s about an hour and a half worth of work AFTER someone comes home from a minimum 12 hour shift... and yet people still aren’t taking social distancing seriously

The plus side to being forced to stay home, is all the time I’ve had to help the new dog adjust to her surroundings. She’s not the first rescue dog I’ve had but she has definitely adapted the fastest and seems to like her new living arrangements

It was something along the lines of “the virus can’t survive above 135 degrees, so turn your hairdryer on and point it towards your face and take deeps breathes of hot air” i like your version better though.
-
They’re right up there with the people that believed the hairdryer thing

Can’t fix stupid. I took the dog for a long walk through the trails at a local park and there were parents letting their kids play on the playground (right behind the sign that specifically says not to) while most of them sat on a nearby picnic table. Luckily, the people on the trails used more common sense and would move to the edge of the trail as you walked by.

Lease turn ins are always real fun to handle insurance wise.... nothing like telling someone its not all covered under one claim and they now have to pay 4,5,6 etc deductibles

How portable is said skee-ball machine? just saying, blue would probably be the only ski lot tailgate in the country with a skee-ball machine

Because they somehow were able too. I didn’t ask. It’s not my business. I believe they’re staying with family? Not really sure.

My cousin lives in Manhattan, when shit started hitting the fan her and her boyfriend left immediately. She took a week of PTO banking on her work eventually closing and it worked out in her favor. Fortunately they were both able to be tested recently and both tests came back negative. Unfortunately, they’re not sure when they’re going to be able to return home which is probably for the best.

Shit has hit the fan in Chester county. One of the neighbors called the police yesterday because of us “doing contracting work” in my backyard, we were thatching and seeding the grass in the backyard. People are going stir crazy and starting to complain about everything and anything.

With her energy, she’ll be leading the runs.

I adopted a dog today. Catahoula Leopard/unknown mix. I’ve been searching for a catahoula for about 4 months now and have missed out on every adoptable one. Finally was able to get to her before anyone else.

Half of that population is on the blue route between the hours of 3pm and 6pm.

You’re the kind of guy who complains that the water at a restaurant isn’t wet enough

Now is a really good time to start Exercising (in all seriousness) since there’s nothing else to do. I started running just to get out of my house for an hour or so everyday, and I fucking hate running.

I’ll bring the grill

Yeah that’s the direction I just got from work. If you’re already remote, keep working. If you’re not, office is closed and on paid leave. happy I can keep working because it’s something to do for 8 hours a day, however I deal with body shops, the work is going to slow BIG time soon if it doesn’t just come to a complete halt.

Wonder how this works for people like me who work for an insurance company (not life sustaining business) but can and have been working from home
-
No it’s not the boomers at all. it’s the fucking idiots my age (under 30) that have this everlasting need to be around people and be “seen” 24/7.

Without a doubt. But under normal circumstances even, there’s a longggg delay from the time the car finishes production to the time the keys are handed over to the dealership. Everyone take a look at your vin tag on the center pillar next time you get in your car, the production month and year may surprise you.

It would be MONTHS until you saw that shortage of vehicles from manufacturing being shut down. TP4’s dealership could empty their lot with sales 3 times over before the manufacturer would say “sorry we don’t have any more cars to ship to you”

Figured now is a better time than ever to fix the backyard that’s obviously been neglected for years. Bought a thatchet for $40 from Lowe’s and it does the job quite well.

This was a “pleasure” visit and had nothing to do with getting anything from the office or anything to do with work that’s why most of the people had a problem with it. Said person was already working from home and came in because they “got bored”. Chances are I’m getting one as I make less than $65k a year, but as nice as that would be, I don’t need it because I can work from home and I’m still getting 100% of my income so it’s life as usual. I would rather see it go to my single father neighbor who’s a chef (and now out of work) and has a 1 year old and likely has bills to pay and is relying on an unemployment check every week.
