They probably turned back on after I left. Figures.
-
They do. Not enough to have it safe though. About 50% of the lights were on when the the generator kicked in and the lift was basically crawling
-
New setup is real fun. Power went out around 7 so I think they closed up. I left when it went out so not too sure what happened after. It's pretty eery out there with no lights on
-
I don't go that way to bear anyway

We're leaving now. The rains coming down too hard. They're losing serious base and the snow is turning to shit. Satisfied with the trip though. I'll post a full report later on
-
Woke up today to a slight rain. Heading to sugar and spice and then to the hill for the last day.

Legs are surprisingly fine at the moment. Lower back is a different story. We've been drinking pretty much all day. Started the day off with 2 beers each on the gondola ride. Going to jax tonight so hopefully I'll drink away my soreness

Speaking of winds and closed lifts, did anyone see the video from Bridger on Saturday?
-
Thanks guys. Definatley a difference in riding in pa for sure. When you can easily hit speeds of 50mph on a run and feel comfortable it's awesome. Going bell to bell is something I haven't done in a lonngggg time.

Uh what? Next YouTube ski fail senesation for sure

Just got back into the hotel. Pulled into the k-1 lot around 8:45 and it was empty. Parked maybe 5 spots back from the gondola. Hopped on at 9 when they opened and was the 2nd civilian car up. Took a first run down juggernaut to the skyepeak express. From that we took some runs through the stash then it was over to ramshead to ride timberline for a little bit. Stopped for lunch around 11:30 and we were probably able to get around 12 runs in from open until then. Headed back out after lunch and basically just tried to get ourselves lost so individual trail reports aren't really going to happen. The snow was nice hardpack in the morning but quickly turned to sugar once the sun came out. We took our last run up k-1 at 3:15 and headed down juggernaut to the sky peak express and then back over to k-1 to end the day around 4. All in all it was an excellent blue bird day with minimal winds, solid temperatures, and plenty of sun to be had. I didn't get many pictures as I was more concerned with riding but I will post the few that I took. And some pics from long trail yesterday

And que Doug with a perveted/creeper post......

You posted pictures on here of it didn't you? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else

Didn't ride yet. Looked like the rain took a toll on them though. It's dipping below 32 tonight so hopefully they can blow and freshen things up. On a none skiing related not it was crazy to see the mountain washouts from when they had that bad flooding a couple years ago. Really makes you think about the power of Mother Nature.

We all bought a sampler which included 6 beers and then I had a traditional ale and a farmhouse ale, which you can only buy there.

Got up here around 3:10 today. Took a ride through the high dollar houses then headed over to long trail for beer and food. Not much to say about the beer because it's all good beer but the food was amazing. Currently sitting in the hotel now doing nothing. Probably going to call it an early night and head out for first chair tomorrow. Should be a good day. Temp is currently hovering around 33 degrees on the access road.
-
Thanks man. They're supposed to get snow showers today so hopefully that freshens things up a bit. And I'm working on getting out west, I have a buddy that works at the canyons so I might be heading out that way over spring break.
-
Tomorrow's plans consist of driving and long trail so the traffic worry is kind of out of the way at this point.
-
I'm not riding tomorrow anyway just don't want to deal with all the bullshit on the drive up
-
I leave for Vermont at 7 am tomorrow. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuqqqqq

Who honestly Cares? It's for the same reason that I don't rest my board on my unstrapped foot. People have different ways of going about things. You're the only person to bash someone for trying something new. It's the fucking lift. In the end everyone's ass sits down for 5 minutes then stands up and gets off.

Tom, forgot the mention this in the other post but it would be cool if you put a hip in where the wall ride was in cascade. It would be something fun and different to hit in that space that doesn't seem to get used much unless there is a jump to the right of it.

Thanks to whoever deleted Doug's post
