I deff. just did a double take.

Well hes going on Tuesday. I wouldn't worry about crowds..

Blue Mountain has a good amount of trails for kids, like Paradise, Burma Road, and even Lazy Mile.

I drove to the lower parking lot at around 9:30ish, booted up, and walked to the six pack. The snow at first was firm yet soft. I went down Razors Edge first, and then to Lazy Mile. I concluded that Lazy Mile had the best snow and pretty much lapped it till 1:30. There was a demo today from Hunterdon Ski Shop(?) based in New Jersey...I tried a pair of fat skis which I didn't like at all, and then a pair of Fischer Motive 80's, length was 175. It was easily one of the best skis I've ever skied on. It's a light ski, but yet it felt really firm under foot. No chatter, easy to get on egde, and just a smooth glider. Definitely looking into purchasing a pair after this season, or the beginning of next season. All in all, today was near perfect. Great spring like conditions and not an ounce of ice...there were no crowds either today. JADIP!

welcome to PASR! can you fill in for SkiMom who hasn't been on here in ages? Thanks. And I ski Blue Mountain too. But this past month haven't been out at all because of work and school 7 days a week. hopefully after my france trip this week, I'll be able to get out at least 2 days a week.

My school has cancelled all classes today. First time in like 10 years that has happened...I've got about 15 inches of snow in my yard. the piles of snow I shoveled are taller than me...over 6 foot tall!! thundersnow was abundant last night.

If i hadnt gone skiing the last week, I would deff. be skiing tomorrow...

I arrived in the top lodge of Blue Mountain at around 8:30, went inside to get my fancy schmancy new season pass with that RFID chip inside. I then went back to the nippy outside and got my boots (and swag) on, grab my skis, and proceed to the snow. It was my first day out this season, and to my surprise, I still had my form. The snow was perfect...chalky pow on top of perfect cord. There weren't too many chunks, so that was nice. They blew snow on all the open trails to refresh them making them very enjoyable. From the lift, they were blowing snow in the valley, on Challenge, and I believe Paradise...Apparently they are opening the valley tomorrow. About 2 runs in, I met up with Toast who was at the top of the Main St. chair waiting. We did Main Street a few times, Lazy Mile a few times, and Burma road once. At around 10, we merged with Root on Main Street and met up with him at the bottom of Main Street. We skied a few runs with him, and then Johnny Style showed up...(skied past us, and root realized it was him...) We had a pretty decent weekday PASR crew rolling. All in all it was JADIP. Perfect snow, sun, cold crisp air, and a pretty empty mountain...
