What kind of skiing will it be? Will it be a race to be able to ski with him, or will it be more of a cruise around the mountain?
-
I'll be there at 8:30 in the morning. Maybe earlier. I want to ski with him so bad. I will sign up no doubt. How many groups will be able to ski with him?
-
Did anyone see that glider plane fly right over Blue yesterday at about 11:45? It was really low. Maybe about 40-50 feet over the top of the Six Pack.
-
Then nope, it wasn't you. What time did you leave? I got there at around 1:15ish.
-
Do you drive a Subaru? I saw a green and beige one pulling out of a spot at the Blue Mountain Drive In. I was thinking it was you.
-
I guess I don't have enough leg strength. Oh well.
-
Haha. Yep. Its just fun getting good balance and skiing on one leg at a fast speed. I heard people gasp behind me, think I would crash. Funny story, I was getting off the six pack, and my dad and I were on it with 4 snowboarders that are all new to it. Maybe their second time boarding. So as they were getting off the lift, they all fell, and my dads pole got bent pretty badly.

I got back about 20-30 minutes ago. I got in to the lower parking lot at about 7:45 and booted up. I got onto the sixer at about 8:00. I first did Switchback to warm up or was it Lazy Mile to Falls? I don't remember. But after my first two runs, I saw Doug and Atomic Jeff. I made more then two runs with them. Maybe 3-4 runs. I did Mainstreet ALOT, and did Switchback, Lazy Mile---->Falls too. I stayed away from Challenge because of the big ole' sheet of ICE on top. I left from Blue at about 12:45, and had a nice brunch at the Blue Mountain Drive In. It consisted of Hot Chocolate with whip cream, 3 pancakes, sausage, and water. It was tasty. I love that place because its so cheap. I had a good time skiing with Doug, AtomicJeff, and Zonked. It was nice meeting you Zonked. Your a damn good skier. One question though, how do you get onto your back part of your skis? I tried it, but it didn't work out. I guess my boots are to stiff. Yep, I can ski on one leg. It was fun doing that. I tried to act like a fool going down to make people laugh and yell at me.

I know. I will wear it over my jacket. See you tomorrow morning! EDIT Are there going to be PASR bumper stickers, or sweaters there? I would like to support PASR.
-
Well instead of my original plans of going to Blue on Sunday, we are actually going tomorrow! I will be at Blue from 7:30ish till 12:30ish. I will be VERY noticeable with my Flyers Jersey. I feel like I should stand out for PASR day because if I wore just my red jacket, I would be looking like everyone else. And plus, alot of people are wearing NBA Basketball jerseys, I will be mixing it up by wearing a Flyers Jersey! Hope to see everyone there!
-
Actually, I can make it to the PASR day tomorrow. I will be there from 7:45ish to 12:30 ish. I will be wearing a Philadelphia Flyers jersey with the number 11 on it. I feel like standing out.

for skiing powder this year when I didn't. The only time I skied powder was at Jay Peak in 6 inches of pow. It was also my last day at Jay Peak. They only had 10 trails open. But great report. It sounds like you had fun. Take more pics though next time.
-
So you'll ski with us till 12:30 ish on Sunday? Nice. I usually eat a late late breakfast that includes hot cocoa with whip cream, and three pancakes. MmmMmMMm good!
-
Dude, don't listen to Toast. He is lying about Bear closing next weekend.
-
Damn, I won't be able to get up on Saturday. I will be up on Sunday though. Doug, if you will be up on Sunday, you should stick around till like 12:30 or 1:00 because right after, I go with my dad to the Blue Mountain Drive In.
-
That is so so mean, but so so funny.
-
How much? I might buy them, but I don't since I am not into the park. Are they a good All Mountain ski?
-
Done. It has been taketh offeth.
-
What the fu(k did you do to your skis?????!?!?!
-
I don't want it, BUT, I have the same exact one! I love mine. Why do you want to sell it?
-
Yeah, your right. I wasn't going to anything, and I didn't. I was just pissed off because falling in the parking lot is kind of humiliating. But I had a good morning skiing.
-
Plowing is good if there is alot of snow. I was about to go to the manager of Blue, and yell in his face to SALT THE FU*KING PARKING LOT! It was mad danger out there on the lot. At least it wasn't icy on the slopes.

Well I got back about 20-30 minutes ago from a nice 7:30-12:30 morning at Blue. I got there actually at about 7:40 but it didn't make a difference. For my first run, I did Paradise to warm up a bit. My legs were mucho stiffo this morning, so it was nice just cruising along to warm my muscles up. Then I did Challenge, it wasn't bad at all. Nice snow. Then I did Main Street for two runs in a row, then I went back to Challenge. It got really icy the second time. So then I got back to Main Street, and that Switchback. I did Main Street off the Main Street chair for almost the ENTIRE morning. I had some Switchbacks mixed in there too. But the snow on Main Street was sooooo forgiving. Very nice packed powder with some hard-pack as the morning wore on. I was doing alot of tight lil' turns, and then at the bottom of Main Street, I did BIG arcing turns. All in all a great day to be out. Not as crowded as I expected, so that was nice. The only time I fell today was in........the parking lot . After I booted up with my dad, I was walking toward the valley lodge, and then BAM, my feet went up from under me, on a patch of ice, and I fell on my elbow damn hard. But it didn't affect my skiing.
-
Is it really gonna be THAT cold? Are you sure? Ehh, I will wear my Balaclava. Its going to be 34 degrees tomorrow or say Weather.com. I might go at night. But I am not sure yet. Most likely it will be in the early morning.
-
Why wouldn't I want to come when they open and stay till noon? I mean, I don't have a season pass so its pointless getting a morning pass and skiing for two hours of it. What is the better thing to do?
