Yeah, I guess I will believe it when I see it. I'll change my avatar to Rubin Studard (SP?). But TP4, why do you have Clay Aiken as you avatar?
-
Stop, let me stay in the moment. Yeah, it was fun skiing with you too. It was good to actually meet someone from PASR. Thanks for the tips on how to ski better.

IN YO FACES EVERYBODY THAT DOUBTED ME! Now was I right or was I right. I guess my weather predictions really pay off

My dad HATES rap. But I will play SOMETHING. Maybe some Beatles on Breakfast with the Beatles on 102.9 WMGK.
-
So you found it? But if not, hope you find it and the douchebag that took it. If I were you, I would tell him to BITE A CURB! :rock

He is good at racing. But now hes losing his touch.
-
Yep my dad will be there. Keeping an eye out on my skiing to see if I am doing anything wrong with my skiing.
-
I am waking up at 5:30, and leaving at around 5:45 or 6:00. Should be there 7:30 or 7:45. Is there alot of traffic in the morning up there?

So since tomorrow is the last day of 2006, and I though hey, why not celebrate the NEW year by skiing as long as we can tomorrow! Be at Blue by 8:00. I will be there between 7:30 and 8:00. Me and Doug are planning this so lets get as many PASR's on the mountain. I don't care if the conditions aren't the greatest, at least there skiing to be had! Tomorrow at Blue! LAST DAY OF 2006. Weather for the rest of the winter lookin' good Its the Skiing weather man. Not sure how accurate he is, but it sure does sound good!

Okay, maybe not 2 feet, but over a foot and a half within the past week. And its still snow hard.
-
If its Global Warming, why was there TWO blizzards out west? And why was there 2 or so feet in northern Vermont? Its not Global Warming guys. Its the split jet stream this year causing the warm weather to be pushed in, and cold air to be stayed back in Canada. This is just a really bad year for PA. But who knows, we might have 6 blizzards in February and March. It could be that the cold air and snow is just building strength up in the North Pole, and will be coming our way. For now, we just have to be happy with what mountains are open, and what weather comes our way. BE PATIENT! THE COLD WILL COME!

How many trails do they have open?
-
Killington relies on more snowmaking, while Jay Peak relies on the natural snow. Killingtons snowmaking capabilities are far more greater then Jay's. Killington has at least 60-70% MORE snowmaking than Jay. I'm already at home. I miss the place I stayed at, the people in it, and all of my friends. I miss skiing most of all. But I will be at Blue later this week

Well, the last day of skiing was PERFECT! It snowed really hard for a solid three hours until lunch. It snowed a total 6-7 inches, and there was fresh untracked pow on the side of Northway (Blue trail). I was flying down it so fast, run after run. Our camera broke two days ago, so no pics I had a BLAST! Good last day of skiing at Jay Peak.
-
You know what!? I don't care. Theres no way when I say what the weather will be, it will be the opposite. ITS NOT POSSIBLE!
-
Well, its raining skis and poles not cats and dogs. Its not a good day to go skiing. But the rain should change to all snow this evening and should stay snow all night, into tomorrow. Fresh pow for all tomorrow. Today is my off day and I need to relax from skiing. I guess you can say I am feeling the same pain as you guys down there. I will be back in PA on Monday night. I might be back at Jay sometime this winter.

Dougy, I found NO red light district :banghead Nor an actual town. :banghead

We had our camera ready, we took it, but left it in the car, and didn't feel like getting it. I promise I will take as many pics tommorow as possible. On Saturday they are saying rain/freezing rain so most likelyy NO skiing on Saturday.

Well at Jay Peak they still have 10 trails open, but my favorite one open is the Jet. We went on it first thing in the morning, and it was groomed to perfection. I was making fast linked turns through out the whole morning. It did start to get scraped off, but I felt more confident. After about 20 runsn on The Jet, I went to eat a lunch that consisted of a cheese burger, fries, a big cookie, and hot cocoa After lunch, I went back to The Jet, but my legs weren't liking it. It got more piled up, and more icy so I went back to the easy trail, and just lapped it by straight edging it, hardly no turns at all. All in all, it was a GREAT day, and tomorrow should be better!

It was tough. Tommorow Morning, I will go to the Jet first thing so I can beat the scraped off snow -
Call me dave, gosh But thanks haha. Those temps aren't all that bad. They seem like BELOW average temps. Lets just hope they are true and stick with the days. Because if they don't, I am going STRAIGHT to Mother Nature and bashing her head in.

Here it is folks, the first TR of my trip. I don't have any pictures right now because I forgot the camera in the lodge. There wasn't anything "nice" to take a picture of so nothing to miss out of. So the first run did, I went on the Flyer Quad and did a fairly good long Blue trail. Then I took a shuttle van to the Jet. The jet was pretty nice. I had troubles getting down the first five times because it was huge piles of loose granular snow, and I couldn't get my turning legs on . But after five times I got the hang of it, and was flying down it. I skied it a good 10-15 times and then I went to eat lunch. I decided that I was REALLY tired, so I just skied an easy green and lapped it like 20 or so times. One time I made 84 turns In total I made about 30 runs. I skied from 9-4. A VERY nice, FUN first day at the Peak. -

THEY HAVE INTERNET!!!! We have confirmed internet connection. So I will take pictures, and put it into a new thread for the executive trip report. Well on the drive, we encountered LOTS of traffic in the New York City area, but we got out of it. A few hours later, we were in Vermont! It snowed a hella lot on the drive in Vermont. A good 2-3 inches fell in Jay Peak, and more is on the way, with a high of just about 28 degrees, it should be a fun time on 10 trails. 10 trails is better then NOTHING :rock -
