Alright, I finished packing in just 10 minutes. I leave for Jay Peak on Tuesday at 3 in the afternoon. It will be a longgggg 8-9 hour drive. I will probably be at the Peak at about mid-night to 1 o' clock. I don't believe the place I am staying has internet. but if it does, I will try to post a report daily with pictures and all! Did anyone here any word on the trails they MIGHT be opening for Tuesday?

The GFS models are forecasting a white Christmas for all of the Northeast. Hopefully I get snowed in at Jay Peak.

What ever, I will check the site on Monday to make my decision. But if I don't go, I won't be able to ski period so, skiing on 8 Vermonty trails is better than no skiing at all.

I still am frustrated though. Jay Peak is MUCH farther North then Killy, and why doesn't Jay have 40 or more trails open?

But right now they have ONLY 8 effin' trails open. I AM NOT GOING TO VERMONT for the first time FOR 8 TRAILS!

I know I quoted myself, but I am really pissed that my first time to Vermont, they will have less than 20 trails open. If they only have that many trails open, then count me out.

I am getting really, really nervous about Jay Peak and the lack of trails they have open. They only have 8 trails open, and I leave next Tuesday. I doubt they will have more than 15 trails open . I rather not go, because Blue might have more trails open by then. How far is Killington from Jay Peak?

All meteoroligists are saying it will end towards the 19th. So its believeable.

Well on the Accuweather 15 day forecast, it says the warmth will end on the 19th or 20th, and then from then on, the highs will be just in the low 40's and upper 30's in Blue Bell. In Palmerton ( Blue Mt. ) the highs will be in the mid 30s with snow on Christmas! This warmth is just a little thing that will just be a mere imagination next month Lets just hope for COLD AIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange start, but a great end. Trust me. My bones tell me that it will be a cold end with TONS of snow.

Awesome! I can't wait for Saturday. I will be up there at about 2:30-3:00ish. And stay hopefully till 8:00pm.

I'll be there on Saturday at 2:30 till ???? I have school/work on Friday. And on Saturday I work from 8-1.

I doubt they will be able to open top to bottom for the first weekend. They have never done that. They onlyy open with the two Black Diamond runs, at the top, and those greens and thats it. I guess we'll wait and see

Is Blue Mountain even making snow on the trails they are trying to open with?

But right now, the temps are fine for the week. If the mountains keep blowing to keep the base, then hell, it will be fine for the rest of the winter. But no one else is worried about the small lil warm up?

But seeing the word Warm in December isn't good. At all. Its sad. But the 50 degree temps will be here in Philly and Montco. Not in the Poconos. I don't care about the weather down here, there isn't any mountains here. But there are mountains up in the Poconos. So lets get the cold up there!
