I've ridden both MTN creek and BB ( both are park logic, OR jib lab....same thing) and their jibs are verrrryyyyyy solid but i still dont think they will be able to touch bears jibs this year. I dont see park logic banging out a dfd (down flat down) or a DC mtn lab replica stair set or ANY stair set for that matter, not even at mtn creek where they were for a long time. Dont get me Wrong i would ride park logic shit and jib lab shit any day but bears bringing some mad nice stuff this year, stuff you guys havent seen on the east coast yet.... you just wait....

Im not trashing his picture taking, im just trying to help him out for next time. Shooting action shots like that is very difficult, and shooting snowboarding is even more difficult with all the different angles and timing and stuff. I said, some of the shots were very good, and i meant it. I was just trying to give him a couple tips for next time. haha please dont hate me..... and on top of that what other mtn has their GM out at the rail jams taking pics???? i mean come on how cool is that???

Everything was pretty sick!! DJ Cali being there was pretty awesome. My only complaint is that the lips for the box and the rail needed to be wider and less booter style. Take the lips up to the rails at BB, their nice and wide and short, you want a decent ollie on ( height, not so much distance) and also i didnt really hit the box a whole lot so i dont know about that, but the rail was set up crooked when compared to the jump. If you go look at the picture on the website you can even see it. (look at the one with the picnic table in the foreground and then look at the lip to the red rail and then look at the rail itself). Other then that everything was super fun. It was nice having the red rail roped off so you could just hit that instead of having to do the picnic table to. Having the raffle was also another good idea. Overall a really fun time, just one or 2 things that could have been improved on, but other then that... AWESOME!!! oh yeah and whoever takes the photos for the website needs to try and get the subjects whole body in the shot and not just like their board...... some of the shots are really good and then others were just snapped to early or are only of like the board, or the board and legs... kinda looks like i gave my little brother a really good camera and told him here shoot some pics. haha j/k but just, whoever takes the pics try and get them in the middle of the rail and get their whole body, not just their board and legs.. you know?

I like how everyone talks about the big mofo money booter, 70 foot jump. But how many of you have actually done that when it was truly 70 feet??? I know i tried it at the slopestyle and it ate me alive. I hit the knuckle and it bounced me 10 feet in the air, and then i missed almost the whole landing. But how many people actually hit this thing other then maybe maxwell????? i know its cool to say yeah we got a 70 foot booter but why not put somehting a little more practical in like a 50 or a 55??? not some ridiculouse 70 footer that no ones gonna hit. Yeah im all for progression of parks on the east coast but the spot where that booter is located is just not very good for how big it is... just my opinion

YEAHH def the flat box and the flat rail ( iassume your talking about the red rail, the one that was set up by the top of the half pipe when you guys were open this year) but the picnic table.......not so much. If it can only be 2 things the flat box and the flat rail for sure..!!!! the picnic table is kinda fun but its so short and stuff...

haha maybe its just that you guys are trying to be loyal or something but go ride BB and then go ride at Blue and tell me blues park dosent blow right now. Yeah i know at least they have a park and yeah i know at least their open.. blah blah blah. ok bears closed. next point.... I was there last wed and i was truly dissapointed with the set up in their park. I realize their doing the best they can with what they have but i def think they could have done better. First off the whole park should have been moved somewhere else, come around is a terrible spot for a park on the top half of the trail you have to start 5 feet in front of that big butter box and the jump so you dont over shoot them and then on the bottom its hard to get speed. I also thought park crue could have done alot better job. I was there riding almost all day and they went through once i think, and on top of that it took them 20 minutes to fix one thing-wayyyyy to long. and then when they were done the landings were still all bombed out and the lips were stilled messed up. BB park crew it seems is constantly working they walk down the trail fixing the stuff and when they get to the bottom they go back up and start over. Im sorry i really dont mean to be dissing on blues park but i was expecting sooo much more from people talking on here and its a good thing i sold my ticket for 15 bucks on the way out or ide have been really pissed.

Ive been talking to big boulder's park crew and they still have alot of stuff up their sleeves. Just wait till they get their big park open... its gonna be insane. I got two words for everyone....channel gap. And i dunno about blues jib's, it seems like they have all the right ideas but they still go with the kind of circus style, at least from what i saw last year and a couple of the new things from this year. They do have some good stuff though like that new high flat box they have out right now, they need more of that stuff. But BB and BC's jibs are very similar which is very good b/c they both have top level shit.

It must be nice for those of you who ride at blue to laugh about stuff like this, but for those of us who call bear our home mtn, its not so funny because its a possiblity, they have already lost alooottttt of money so far this year. I cant wait till we finally get the chance to put some snow on the ground and we show blue mtn what a park is supposed to look like.... OHH baby thats gonna be sweet...haha

Yeah i realize that southern management owns them and wouldnt let them go under but if you think about it, they are def realllly hurting right now. That new addition to the hotel is costing some like 30 million dollars and they have prolly turned next to nothing in pass sales, so its not that far fetched that they could be in money trouble. How does the southern management thing work, I know they own them but is bear creek still its own company? also theres only so much that southerns gonna put in without getting anything back. Its just like any business thats not turning a profit, but im sure that once bear opens they will be seeing plenty of money... hopefully that is sooner then later though.

I seem to be hearing rumors that bear creek had to declare Bankruptcy. Can someone please let me be able to sleep at night and squash this rumor. I dont know if i believe it, I wouldnt think they would have started that hotel and stuff if they didnt have the funds. Also why wouldnt their parent company (southern management or w/e) bail them out???

BB park def is sick, their doing an amazing job considering the weather, although they have had better snowmaking luck then most other mtn's...

seems like you care about my input enough to read all my posts....... and actually i dont think it was ALL of the topics, just a couple, plus i dont yell, i just talk loud. No one wants your input period but thanks though. ps. for those of you that care i thought this was pretty interesting, shows that were not the only ones getting screwed on winter weather. undefined

yeah but its not that easy for some of us who have to drive an hour to get there....but its still better then my alternative option- Ride at blue. haha I understand the whole more parks= more people in them, but when theirs only 2 parks and the rest of the mountain is open (besides like one trail i think) why do people have to be so ignorant, and its not even the people were its their first time on skiis but the people that should be working to help control the situation!! ( SKI INSTRUCTORS ) Yeah you can accuse me of bitching but it truly is a safety hazard and not just to the people who actually ride the park, but the people who are carving across the landings of the jumps and stuff, somebody could easily get really hurt.

Something NEEDS to be done about people that dont belong in the park just rolling through. I was there both saturday and sunday and it was the worst i have ever seen. At times we would have to wait for almost 10 minutes to hit the jumps in boulder park because there was so many people going down and carving over the landing or falling on the lip, or even just riding over the lip. And things were even worse in freedom park, parents who's kids could barely stand on their own were taking their little kids up the freedom lift and coming down through the park, carving across jumps, cutting people offf etc. etc..... And WORST of all was when a bunch of ski instructors decided that it would be a great idea to take a couple turns in the freedom park....COME ON!!! WHAT THE HELL!!! do you guys not teach all of your employees this stuff??? they should be helping keep people out that dont belong there, not being dumbasses themselves and causing more trouble. The whole left side of the mountain was open and skiable to do some nice turns why not go over there????? I thought bear creek was bad when it came to this stuff but that was just fucking ridiculous!!!

The bonfire was stupid, we drove 20 minutes up there and then they wouldnt even let us throw our old snowboards on!!!!! they never even knew about the whole throw your ski's and snowboards on the fire thing they said there was no way they would ever do that, what the hell????? I was pretty unhappy about that....

Lets sure hope so, that would be really nice of them, plus i think if they dont do that, like alot of people are saying their going to lose alot of season pass business......
