well here it is...Ill be there filming for opening day edit for the new website that should be up in the next couple days, if you see me with the camera, throw down and get in it. Who else is gonna be there???? Im not sure what trails are going to be open or whats going to be out yet, all depends on how much production they can get in tonight, but either way its gonna be a sick day. EDIT: just read the website and it said cascade, kodiak and POSSIBLY black bear should be open
-
Jumps were nice, especially with all the rain and shitty weather we have had. Rails are still sick like always. I cant wait to get a full trail up and going, its gonna be sweeeeeeet.
-
because the snow is softest during the day, and when the snow is soft, alot of people riding over it does alot more damage then at night when its nice and hard.
-
Everything in the park is still sick and the jump line is probably the most legit pre december jump line to ever hit PA. It was a little hard and getting a little icey tonight, but tomorrow everything should be super nice, Im pretty sure andy is gonna groom it all out and stuff, its def worth it to hit up from 3-8

damn will, park is looking siiiiicccckkkk. Me and the guys cant wait to get up there, hopefully we'll be able to make it soon. I think we might be trying for sunday this weekend. Ill give you a call later in the week. Keep up the good work, it looks like you've begun to turn that place around already and i cant wait to come check it out in person.

It all depends on the weather. They are going to keep the hike park and the jumps open as long as they can, till the rest of the mountain is open and then then hike park will be taken down and the rails will be moved to the normal trail. There trying to have an actual trail open as soon as possible though, so something of some sort should be open on friday as long as the weather is ok.
-
They are trying to have it up as soon as possible, I believe they are pushing for the end of the week, but its not for sure. No just jumps in tubing, the rails will stay where they were today. So basically you'll have two different parks, the hike park and the jump line
-
they did get decent production in last night and tonight (not sure if they blew during the day today) but they still dont have an incredible amount. Yes they prob have enough to open a trail or two but i think they made the smart decision in holding off and just pounding those trails with snow, it should pay off in the long run. having to put out the rails and then not being able to groom those areas because of the rails being there would cost them alot of snow. The hike park should be fun, you guys should all come out. Ill be filming for an edit for the website, hopefully we'll have a nice set up and some nice weather.

they said on the news up in the poconos that boulder was blowing on 6 trails to have them open by saturday. And with boulders snowmaking i dont see that being too far fetched.
-
How can you say that???? I dont think Andy and Tom even know how much stuff their putting out yet. I dont see how you can be so sure of that yet when nobody knows, its almost like your just...making shit up.
-
I dont think they can give a setup plan b/c they need to see how much snow they have. Im sure if they get enough snow they will set up some of the bigger stuff but if there isnt a whole lot of snow theres not alot they can do. Your most likely just gonna have to wait till thursday night or friday.
-
I talked to him personally and he said that it all depends on the weather, they cant say anything yet b/c the whole thing is tentative to the weather . Im not sure if its a contest or just for fun. But im sure the set up will depend on how much they can blow and IF they can blow. Should be sick either way.

Can somebody organize a group buy for boulder, im trying to get a cheap pass...does anybody else wanna get in on that??? how cheap are the passes.
-
I know for a Fact that Will is going to do his best to make sure that first one doesnt happen. He knows what he is doing and wont hire people who are just going to dick around and goof off the whole time. I trust him to take care of that. And Camelback really doesnt have the tools to do in house fabrication or im sure will would have pursued that route but hopefully planet snow's shit will hold up good.
-
Damn dude...where do you live??? i thought your at bear all the time, boulder is only an hour from bear... Where did you hear this papasteeze??? did you talk to Ian?? i didnt see it posted anywhere yet.
-
I wish i lived closer man, ide love to work with you on building this park. i think it would be a great time.
-
I personally talked to will and he said they are trying for a hikepark, as soon as they possibly can, he is not sure when it will be but he said sometime soon as long as the weather cooperates.
-
Oh yeah, no way would they ever convert the whole mountain to park, that would be dumb on their part. But I dont think its out of the question to see some sort of early season park type thing. sall im saying

I dont know man, there is alot of money to had from park riders. Just look at Big Boulder's opening day alone last year. They had what, like 800 people there, at 20 bucks a ticket....thats 16000 dollars from ONE day. Not to mention that the turn out was incredible for the first couple weeks after that. Yeah its a risky move, can bear pull it off? prob not, with the temperatures that they have there, it would be near impossible to keep something like that around. You make it sound like the park rider is the minority here, but that changing very fast. Boulder really started something and alot of places are following, dedicating more and more terrain to parks. Look at Mountain creek who dedicated an entire peak to park, and now mount snow has done a similar thing. i mean sure park still most likely has not surpassed the weekend day trippers making their way in from new york and other places but they are sure becoming a major part of the mountain and are changing how mountains have to look at the way they do their business. Either way, im sure bear will be opening terrain as soon as they can whether it be a hike park or an entire trail. Hopefully its soon b/c im getting the itch realllllll bad haha.

I think for snowboard gear, either pinnacle or mike and matt's are the best two shops i have been to. Ive hear good things about spectrum, g-spot and arrival but have never been to either three of them
-
Im sure their considering something like this. With all the mountains opening earlier and earlier each year, they gotta look at a way to compete. But it would be really sick if something like this would work out. I wonder if the water temp is cold enough to blow yet???
-
yeah they wouldnt need to use the lift line fence shit, they have stuff to put there already. BUTTTT creating any pipe would still take alot of snow so lets not get our hopes up. We need too weather and a good base before we worry about taking snow we dont have and putting it into a halfpipe.
-
Haha exactly, people really need to stop freaking out, there just putting up their new site. CHIIIILLLLL
-
prob not, it was boarders only last year
