  1. The 42 is a little iffy....Its actually almost toooo long. People have hard times cleaning the whole thing. Ide stick more to the down red rail or something along those lines....42's a sick rail but you want something that people are gonna be able to throw down on....YA DIG!!!
  2. second that...Jam format, two line setup (two rails on left and two on right) finishing with the bleacher box
  3. That is a 100% false statement b/c i have tried many times. Those of us who are not privileged enough to be on park crew are not allowed to fix any lip in the park...for legal reasons. If someone were to get hurt on a lip built buy someone other then park crew, all the members of park crew who are working at the time are liable for the person getting hurt. I believe we are allowed to fix landings and other things but NOT lips, which is the most important part. As for the rest of your post, there are park crew members who are lazy. I have been there on a SATURDAY and will was the only one working even though i KNOW i saw other park crew members riding around.
  4. hahaha i dunno man, i cant really take credit, im not great, not bad but not great. I know what you mean though, i film and watch matt and adolfo and some of the other kids on our crew like travis ride everyday and some of the stuff they do still blows me away. It just comes from having fun riding though...thats what ive realized, if you have fun riding and you ride for the right reason youll naturally get better.
  5. hahaha i love travis and his blatant honesty...
  6. Yeah the bamboo works but you have to put it all the way in and then it gets knocked over half the time. All they need to do is build a mini jump and build the lip around the pole...and boom there you go, A+ pole jam...
  7. amen to that...and certain things in the park DO need to be changed. It seems like things changed but its all the same stuff...I dunno if people know what i mean. I think we need to get even more creative with some of the things. We have the snow now so lets build some crazy stuff, put the butter box on top of the cliff and build a landing (although i do like it were it is so maybe a regular box would do), Set up the flat down the way it was at the EMS jam, with 3 different lips. How about a pole jam somewhere???? It would be a lot of work to maintain, but maybe a rhythm section somewhere would be cool. Build a side hit off the tree so we can lumberjack it again. Maybe some wooden rails would be cool, they wouldnt be that hard to make either. Why hasnt the movable wallride made an appearance yet this year???? I know alot of people love that...lets get that out and into the parks somewhere. That little quarter pipe with the bench coming out as a wall ride was a shit load of fun, maybe we could bring that back, or maybe even a quarter pipe with a high log stall on it. I dunno if anybody follows videos from bear mtn and mammoth but they have those huge round poles that are from like lift towers and stuff, i know bear has some of those laying around, how about slapping one of those on the hill with a lip up to it. Also I know we cant have the car out b/c its a subaru and BC is no longer sponsored by subara but volvo instead, but if you could find a cheap volvo and put that out on the hill to jib that would be sick to ( bear mtn does alot fo stuff with thiers). A large propane tank is another possibility, BB has one and i know alot of people LOVE that feature...I dunno these are just ideas i have brewing in my head, maybe some of them are no good maybe some of them are. Maybe i should have typed this in the park suggestions thread but i just realized that so oh well. BUUTTTT there are alot of thing i like right now as well. The DFD is really nice, so is the tire and barrel bonks. I also like the down red rail, the butter box and the corrugated tube bonk.
  8. The problem is that there is some park crew members who legitlly care about the mountain and their job and then there are those who are just lazy and have no clue what they are doing. Those ones that are lazy and dont care about their jobs are the ones that are brining the rest of them down. I feel bad for the people that try on park crew. Today, on a SATURDAY, there was ONE park crew member fixing things....thats completely ubsurd. They need to hire some people who are going to take their job more serious like the couple there are that do.
  9. oh yeah...well lets all talk about the pipe and how much it sucks balls. annnnnnndddddd go.
  10. Its interesting you brought this up b/c me and my friends were talking about this the other day. Out west kids KILLLL it on jumps, they'll throw down like no ones business but when it comes to rails, they really arent as good as some of the up and coming riders here on the east coast. I personally think that it has to do with the snow here on the east coast, its generally harder and at most times icey, and people really dont feel comfortable hitting 40 foot kickers and landing on ice. Theres also the fact of the matter that you will rarely ever find jumps built around here like they are out west. The jumps at big boulder and even here at bear have started to shape up and become more legit, but they are still not up to par with jumps from places like mammoth and park city etc...Kids still ride jumps but your right that more people do hit rails lately. I know myself ide rather hit a down flat down single bar then 5 a 45 foot hit, dunno why just the way i feel...
  11. i got a nitro misfit 155.6 that ide sell for like 70 bucks...its still in pretty good shape i just never ride it anymore and my friends all have boards i can ride if i break mine....
  12. Good hopefully they sold it to blue mtn after that because that were stupid things like that belong...at the circus with cement mixers and trapazoid boxes or whatever the hell they have there now
  13. Im down...def and i know everyone else is too. We were talking about saturday night though, ill see if i can convince them to go tonight instead, or maybe both. Im gonna get your number from tim later and give you a call...
  14. Yeah if i would be doing a weekly video it would include other people then our crew so pretty much anyone who was interested could film with us and possibly get into the edit....
  15. Yeah we had our opening day edit (which was good but i think this ones better) and there was another one not by us actually. Ide like to start doing a weekly video kinda like schibbs does for BB, it just seems like i never have the time with school work and stuff. I wish Bear would have a better "PARK" side of their website were you could submit videos and have a photo and video gallery, with updates and everything, i think that would be really cool...
  16. Yeah they have more snow in that last jump in black bear then they have base for the entire mountain...people gotsta chill, the cold weathers coming back, we still got at LEAST another month shreddin the CRIK
  17. I might have gotten a shot of you...Im not sure, dont remember but if i did and i didnt put it in....sorry about that, time constraints in the video, didnt wanna put anymore clips from the down rail in, if were ever hiking anything and you wanna hit it with us feel free, im trying to branch out my edits and not just include my crew but all the good kids at bear soo......
  18. here the link to the google video on...bahhhhhhd quality I'de, highly recommend using the first link in my first post if you can though...the quality is loads better...

Ill work on maybe putting it up on youtube or google soon. ANNNNDDDD if all else fails you can download all our videos on itunes through podcasts. Just go to the itunes store and search for what the huck...subscribe...download...enjoy.
  20. Heres a video from the month of February so far...hope you all like it. Click it
  21. I have it on good word that big boulder is pushing for the END of april...thats right the END. All the way to may day almost people...were gonna be riding longer in pa then people in Vermont will
  22. That was me and my friends who built the pole jam on cascade, but like i said before it does need to be take out b/c its not a very safe pole. And i was talking to tim (on park crew) and he was the one that had the idea about putting it off the cliff, i think it was just that though, an idea. Im not sure if he talked to anyone about it....
  23. yeah me and my friends built that one with some random pole we found in the woods, but its prolly for the better that they closed if b/c that pole wasnt very safe. their building a real one soon, off the cliff prob and their gonna put a landing for it, should be pretty legit
  24. HELL no..they need to open the pipe and keep it decent. You guys have to give it a chance, i talked to some people and they said that bear wants to keep their pipe good once they cut it this year, there actually gonna try hard to accomplish this..
  25. tear it apart and rebuild it, this time making it smaller and not so tight of a transition, and NOOOOO vert, because as of right now that thing really sucks....
