They should put a pole jam in somewhere...kinda like the one thats in the hip at the top of cascade...but make like a small jump and put the pole in the lip of it so it shoots you right onto the landing.

transition on the quarter pipe is way to tight...its gonna be alot less fun then i thought. Ive already seen 2 people go up come down and the transition is so tight it threw their boards out and they smacked their faces. I dunno how its gonna work out but.... Also the single barrel at the top of tubing is in a great spot and is at a good angle but i think it could be lower in the ground a little bit. Other then that park was still in pretty good shape. This week were gonna get SCREWED though. The base is realllllllyyyyy shitty in some spots like at the top of cascade and theres gonna be sever bare spots there real soon if this weather keeps up.

Park is super fun right now. Me and some of my freinds and a couple kids from park crew fixed up the quater pipe up to the tree today, its real sick now, you can get soooo high out. We also built a lumberjack (tree bonk) off the back side thats fun as hell to. Some stuff need to be fixed up like the bench wallride thats falling out but everythings real nice right now. I just hope we dont get a warm spell anytime soon b/c the coverage is not very good AT ALL in some spots.

just posting some random person at the top of the park would not work. People do not respect some random kid who tells them that they cannot be there. Ive told people politely many times that what they were doing was not safe and that they should not be there and they basically told me who are you to say that. People who come up 2 days a year don't want to be told by some (what they consider) punk to stay off the mountain that they payed to be on. The only way they will listen is if a bear creek employee were to tell them.

YOU dont know what your talking about...at all. Both jumps need steeper landings and the second one needs to be either a little shorter or the lip needs to be tweaked slightly. Like someone said above the lip should shoot you right to the sweet spot in the landing without having to go ridiculously fast or pop ridiculously hard. Ive seen people spin off the last jump but i have also seen alot more knuckle it to their death (and i have alot of these on tape if anyone would like to argue that). There not BAD but there not as good as they could be, i think thats all travis was trying to say.

Yeah not even just the race team but also just people that dont belong in the park in general. Today i told two dads both who has their kids on leashes to kindly get the F**K out of the park before their kids got destroyed. I dont know what the appeal for people like that is to ride down the park. Especially when they have to weave through bambo and rope fences to get in. Do they think its some sort of game??? i dunno but the number of people in the park who didnt belong there today was OUT OF CONTROL

Overall the new set up is looking pretty good. The new big jumps in tubing park are pretty nice and have a good amount of kick/pop. Black bear seems pretty good, some of the lips were a little weird, didn't really understand the point of them but i think they were fixed later in the day. The long down handrail got fixed, its pretty nice now. I like the new barrel bonk up top, its pretty fun and i was told a tire is going in there for tomorrow so that should be pretty fun. All in all a pretty fun day and a nice set up from park crew....

I was told by one of the park crew kids up at BB that season passes go on sale in February and if you buy it then you get a special price, its good for the rest of the year and you get 50 food bucks and the 2 free passes... Does anyone know the reduced price of the passes if there is one???

Im pretty sure i don't take snowboarding seriously...at all. If you ever road with me you would know that instead of just saying things like that on a message board, thats the only reason I snowboard is because i have fun doing it. I just know bear could be alot better then it is right now and if you people dont care about that then just dont worry about what i have to say...

I'm not busting on you guys, im trying to help you out and give you my perspective on things, if you don't agree then that fine. Theres still a couple things wrong with the stuff you said. The single barrel flat rail at the bottom, nobody hit it when it was set up down because the lip was so god damn retarded. I personally don't think thats any excuse for having the lip to the flat red rail so off center, all that lip is is an excuse for newbs to RIDE off the left side. and i understand the long up rail is for people with "mad skillz" but i would bet you a GREAT deal of money saying that rail gets little to no action. This aint whistler or bear mtn or anything like that, no ones gonna hit that shit here. im still gonna have to go with my position that the new rail thing that was put in place of the barrel bonk is stupid and i know alot of people that would agree with me. I understand the point about the long single barrel, but if your not gonna set it up right, don't put it in just to put something there....if you need something to put there, put something that doesnt have as many consequences and istn as hard. duhhhh. don't put rails in just to have rails, thats just stupid. AND as for the big jump, i ride with some of the better people at bear creek, not getting cocky or anything im just saying, these are kids that arent scared to hit and spin jumps that size, and they wont hit it. and do you know why??? because they say its not safe. Now when you have kids like that saying that they wont hit a jump because they dont feel safe hitting it...i think theres something wrong. Maybe its ok for skiers, i don't know how different it is hitting a jump like that on ski's but i was there the first day it was built and watched person after person just knuckle it and die. All im saying is it needs more pop, it has barely any right now. And with a jump that size you need to have the perfect amount of pop/distance in order for it to be good and safe. I'm not sure what type of training or qualifications you need to have to be on park crew but when there is people saying that they dont feel safe riding something that park crew built then theres a problem.....Like ive said many times before. Im not trying to tear anyone down, when i see park crew and they ask me what i think on the mtn i dont belittle anyone or anything, i tell them my honest opinion about how they can make things better and thats all im trying to do here...

It could be better though, thats a great spot for a jump. The lip now really doesnt have a whole lot of pop. Bear just seems to make their lips with to much pop or none at all. They really need to find a middle...

WOW thats all i have to say about most of the stuff at bear creek right now. and NO that is not a good wow. lets start from the top of black bear... the table top jump is retarded and is more of a quarter pipe then a jump. The rainbow and flat box are fine, the down rail is terrible, the lip needs to be cut down and the rail needs to be put in more steep. The little jump next to the anti jump is dumb all it is a little trianlge. The bleacher box is actually surprisingly very fun where it is located. The big stair set is fine, and also is the ledge. The flat single bar really pisses me off, i dont understand why bear still hasnt figured out to set that up DOWN. sliding a single flat round rail is the STUPIDEST thing EVER. The lip on the red flat rail looks like is was made by a retard, why the hell is it so far offcenter???? and last but not least the box would be fine if the lip was maintained at all and didnt have a rhythm section up to it. NOOOOWWWW for the fun part back up to the top and lets head down cascade... First jump has NOOOO pop, tree ride needs to be more of a quarter pipe up the the tree. Second jump is awful. The up flat rail baffles me...i dont know who the hell they were expecting to hit that but youd have to be retarded. The new battle ship seems ok, fairly good idea but you need a balls load of speed. The step up box is what it is, probably should just keep it the other way, the level of riding at bear creek isnt good enough to have it the step up way and people are just gonna bitch about it being that way. There stairs were buried but they were working on getting them out. The new bonk thing is F**KING retarded, all you guys did was take out the barrel and put that rail in, but that stupid b/c you set up the rail as if it was on top a quarter pipe. AND another flat single barrel rail to finish it off...go figure. NOW to the biggest WASTE of all. Would somebody please take that monstrous piece of CRAP in the tubing park and tear it down and build something thats actually hittable. NOBODY in their right minds is going to straight line that thing to hit a jump that has NO pop just to hit the knuckle going mach 5. Nobodys going to hit a jump like that unless its safe. Bear has some SERIOUSE jump building problems. Every one of the jumps in the park should be torn down and build over again properly especially that big one. The last jump in tubing was soooo good last year and this new one is just a monstrous pile of shit. It really makes me sad b/c bear has the potential to be soooooo good but it seems like they just dont have the knowledge or the know how or the initiative, or SOMETHING. All the pieces are there now they just need to be put together and we would have a sick park. I know people have said it over and over again but its the truth...go to Big Boulder and see how they build things..copy them, its not like lip building is trade marked, they do shit right. If bear did stuff exactly like boulder did this place would be going off. Ok now that ive said all that i actually did have a fun time at the CRIK tonight, ide jsut like to see some things change.....
