  1. Did he think he should have won???? Just because he could do the most hucked, arm spinning, fence destroying tricks youve ever seen??? Im sorry but that kid has decent skills but he needs to calm the hell down and work on his style rather then doing 1080 frontflips out of 4 foot rails and such...IMO
  2. well im going and will be filming prob make an edit if i can, prob also take some pictures too. Most likely will put them up here when im done
  3. of course i don't mean a season pass, i meant do we need a snopass or whatever the heck they call them there. do i need a LIFT TICKET is what i was trying to say.
  4. Does anybody know if you need to have a pass to ride in the trans am?? I signed up but do i need a pass from big boulder too??
  5. I think if you guys could maintain it well it would be a very big asset to the mountain, most people like a good pipe and there is a lack of them in the area so if it was good ide say keep it, but if the moneys not there, put in a tow rope and turn it into a jib park.....OOOOORRRRR put snowflex there!!!!!
  6. hey thanks Burton, but im pretty sure i just covered all those points.....
  7. Some of this i agree with and some of it is just retarded. Urban set ups..the down rail is set up pretty much as urban as your gonna get at bear creek. Some of the stuff really does need to be dug out but were not gonna have to worry about that soon /c were not gonna have ANY snow. Not much your gonna be able to do about craters when its 60 degrees out and theres 140 noobs per second hitting the flat box. and as for the move the big jumps to black bear...i dunno why you people still insist with this bull shit. Look at how crowded black bear park has been the past two weeks, It would be the dumbest idea EVERRRR to put big jumps in there, im pretty sure thats why they were moved over to cascade. This mountain does have alot of potential and other then a few things here and there i think if we would stop getting screwed by the weather it would be in alot better shape. Theres only a couple things that i cant point out that are wrong, mainly feature set up and lip construction but as the year has progressed it is gradually getting better.
  8. Yeah i dunno about that. I know their getting a quad to replace the double, maybe that what your thinking of.
  9. Well everybody say bye to the crik's decent coverage and say hello to bare spots and 55 degree weather. It was staring already today......
  10. The original point of the jumps on freedom was for them to be a "bmx" style jump, that shoots you higher then it does longer. I agree last time i was there they had kinda let the lips get flat and they no longer shot you UP. But i think you people are misunderstanding the point of those jumps. It wasnt to have a huge gap, it was to shoot you high.
  11. I really hope thats a joke...because if its not, you might just be one of the biggest idiots ever....EVER!!!!
  12. Yeah set up urban stuff in cascade but theres no reason that you couldn't have urban stuff in the TUBING PARK. There really isnt room there for more then 2 jumps anyway. I didn't like it when they had the three jumps in there its to squished, you would have to skip the first one to get speed for the second and if you messed up on the first one you might not be able to hit any. I think they should concentrate on making a nice double line with two different hits per jump, decent sized hits and put the handrails in up were the flat down used to be and call it there expert park. There gonna put middle sized jumps in cascade anyway so why not keep the bigger stuff in the TUBING PARK. They have the pitch to set up some nasty handrails in there. btw...isnt it odd that bear creek does not have the TUBING PARK marked with a trail name yet, and despite the fact that it is no longer tubing, it used to be TUBING so im pretty sure i can call it the TUBING PARK and have everyone know what i mean...
  13. The reason the expert park was changed to cascade was because of traffic flow of people that don't belong in the park. It was meant to keep people out by moving it all the way to the side. I don't know about you but black bear gets pretty crowded with alot of people that dont belong there on a busy day and i dont want to be hitting "expert" features and have some dad with his little kid on a leash cutting across the landing. There really is nothing wrong with cascade being the expert park and i think once they get some snow on it and people see the set up they will chane their minds. I also think that cascade should be turned into an intermediate park and the tubing park should be the expert park, with all down handrails set up urban etc. and then the big jumps...
  14. There is stuff that would work there like a down box but they would have to move it down the hill, make the area above it flat and make an urban lip and boom there you go, perfect thing for that spot, an urbane down box. It has the perfect pitch for it.
  15. nue park is sick....tons of fun and possibilities. Way to go park crew, nice job!!!
  16. Is it true that were getting some new stuff out tonight????
  17. I dunno what was up with the multi lip on the staircase tonight...that should have one consistent lip all the way across not 3 dif level ones. Other then that my only other complaint is the first box and rail. The box is still a drop on and the rail should have the lip alot closer to it and wider as well. Other then that the lips to everything else were pretty good and kept in nice shape tonight. Is there anyway we can get an ETA of a new build or at least some new features? that would be awesome. Keep up the good work park crew.
  18. I was up today...lips were great, except for top box and the stair set (i have no clue what was goin on with that...) way to prove us wrong park crew. Im glad to see they got some decent lips out.
  19. I completely disagree with boxes needing to be super high... Its not how high the box is, its the style of lip. keep the urban lips in cascade etc and put the ride ons over in the begginer park. But as far as height goes i think some of the rails and boxes could be a little lower. They dont have to be super high to be set up good.
  20. yeah they were rutted but at least they werent drop ons. and every time i went to BB the lips were fine in the morning. Having a rutted lip is better then haveing a rutted off center drop on lip. Plus they had 3 times the number of people bear has hitting their lips, its the principle of the matter. I just think that the shape that the lips have been in for the whole time since they have opened is terrible and its very frustrating.
  21. Thats no excuse...thats the reason there is a park crew, so that throughout the day they can fix the lips that get worn out. There actually is no excuse for a drop on, which is actually a great way to describe them...that just comes down to an excuse for laziness. once again we go back to the classic BB argument. the first 3 weeks that they were open...not a drop on, ride on, or crooked lip in the house, and they had an excess of 500 people there...on ONE trail. I just wanna see things done right, i paid for a pass and i want the best experience possible. I know bear can deliver better and just b/c its early in the season still, or there isnt enough snow for lips, or anything else is all excuses. They can do great things and i have high hopes for this next park rebuild...hopefully they are met.
  22. Actually you couldnt be anymore wrong...The reason BB is so good is because they have people their like Ian the park manager that listens to and actually cares what the people riding at BB think and then the heads listen to what he has to say. Im not even a pass hold there and numerous times i have had the chance to talk to him about the park and what i thought about it and ideas he has etc. Now dont get me wrong...Andys great about this to but the advantage that BB has is that they have kids who can carry through with Ians vision. It seems liek bear gets new park crew every year and how can you build experience when that keeps happeneing, and that what makes a good park, is experience at doing things like building and grooming lips. I have also talked to many of the park crew up at BB and ever riden with them and they know what their talking about.
  23. wow ummmm maybe you shoulda come to bear last year then.....they had one for the whole last month and a half that they were open.
  24. haha i said that before they even opened and people on here chewed my ass out. It sounds dumb but BC park crew, if they havent already, should go take a trip to boulder and see how stuff is done...b/c they get shit DONE up there.
  25. the lips to EVERYTHING are TERRRRRIBLE. No offense but somebody needs to teach park crew how to make a good lip. Half of them are not centered on the rail, the rest are too high, frankly its a little ridiculous. I understand if there a rut or 2 but the shapes that the lips have been in since opening day is just absurd. It really makes me mad when i could build a better lip by hand. The rail selection out right now is good but the lip building technique needs to see some great improvement....
