  1. The Ion was never marketing as a mid flexing boot though. It was always more geared towards guys who needed a super responsive boot, thus it would have to be stiff. I've tried on both the Tm Two's and the Ions, Tm Twos are definitely softer. The one thing i really disliked about the Ion was the lack of the Articulated cuff. Whenever the boot flexes, it blows out around the ankle, which in my opinion should not be the case with a 350 dollar boot.
  2. I'd look at a few boots before the Ion if your looking for a mid flexing boot. Try the Burton Sabbath, or the 32 Tm Two's. I rode the 32 Lashed last year as a do everything boot and i was fine. The only boot stiffer then the Ion in Burton's line is the Driver X, which is pretty much like wearing a Ski boot. You could also look at the Ride FUL's.
  3. Ion's are in no way middle of the line. They are stiff as hell aswell. I've tryed them on a few times in the shop thinking i might like them, but they're just way to stiff for my liking, and I like a good mid flexing boot. I'd try looking at the Sabbath, that boot seemed pretty solid and had a good flex. Im riding the XIII this year, i have 2 days on them and i love them, super comfortable, and has a great flex, there just super expensive.
  4. Around 30 bucks. Unless your SUV has round bars. I have the mounts for round bars, but most factory racks dont' use round bars and it's some stupid wierd shape. In which case the mounts i have will not work.
  5. It'll fit factory bars, you just need to get the mighty mounts that fit what you have I'll get pic's up asap.
  6. Boulder was dope as hell today. I had a shit load of fun.
  7. I have a yakima ski/snowboard rack i need to get rid of. Will hold 2-4 boards depending on widths, and probably 4 pairs of ski's. I'll put up some pictures if anyone is interested. I was thinking 65 obo. For a little extra i can throw in 2 locks and a key if interested.
  8. I think it's more along the lines of, it's quicker to blow snow on those trails then it is, for paradise, challenge and razors. even with lazy open they still only run the doubles.
  9. Gore-tex.

    Questions

You could try some j-bars in your boots, to help get a better ankle hold.

    Nitro Boards?

I would go for it. Nitro makes a killer product in my opinion. I would agree with Capita though, the top sheets do seem like they'd chip pretty quick.

As far as the roads being closed. It depends on if it snows, and how much, and at what time of the day.

Actually they say the better the shape you are in, the worse the altitude will affect you if your not accustomed to it.

It's different for everyone, but I've never had a problem with it, unless you want to hike. Then you will get your ass kicked in a hurry. Just remember to drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. Utah's mountains aren't super high, i think most are around the 8-9k range.

I can vouch for the Brazilian BBQ place in NE philly. Food was super good, minus the chicken hearts, which trevor houses anyway.
  22. Im going somewhere, i just have no idea where.
  23. I also won, and never used it.
  24. I'd say boulder is still the only option in Pa for riding on T-day.
