  1. I guess i should have read your first post haha. About DC boards, i got to look at them today. They seem to be very solid. A lot of the tech is from Lib and Gnu. They are pressed in Spain in the Rossi Factory to my knowledge. A few pros had a lot to do with the shapes of them. As far as reverse camber, It looks like that is the future of snowboarding. I have yet to ride one, but from all the people i talked to, everyone has loved it.
  2. I disagree. Snow sports in general are already a sport for people who have some coin to drop. Some stuff will end up on the discount rack like every year, but people want to be different it's just part of our nature, so they'll buy some crazy looking jacket because they'll stand out and not every tom dick and harry will be wearing the same thing.
  3. That's besides the point. It doesn't matter how many times a year they ride. If it sells, then the companies have achieved their goal. After reading some of your post, I love buying new gear to. I have so much stuff i don't even need, but i continue to buy new stuff every year. Just seems it gets harder and harder to find stuff that i like, since a lot of the new stuff has insane patterns that i'd never wear. Most of which is draw up by people who are pretty much crazy. As far as the No Fish goes. Im not sure if you've heard of NoBoarding yet or not, but thats what it's based off of. Go google "NoBoarding" and you'll see what it is. Someone in BC was board and put a rope and some pads on there old board to get a more surf like feel. I honestly things it's just another trend, and it will only work in Pow, but it might be cool for alittle bit.
  4. I know im not a fan, but im kind of biased since i only like solid colors. But it must be trendy because people buy these types of things or the companies wouldn't do it.
  5. from what i've heard from friends, and after talking to the K2 rep today. Yes baker is awesome. Which is exactly why im looking to go there. Plus Southwest flies to seattle so hopefully i can pick up a semi cheap flight.
  6. No thanks. If i go to Jackson again im staying in town. Everything is just so much easier, and if it's dumping, get up early and take the early bus to JH and just wait in line. The half hour bus trip to and from town kind of sucks when your staying at the mountain since there really isn't much to do. I enjoyed the 49ner Inn so much more then the place John and I stayed at last year. I had a King bed, a fireplace, free breakfast in the morning, and it was cheaper. Last year, double bed, no fireplace, no continental breakfast, and cost more. I'd definitely stay at the 49ner again.
  7. Oh man. If jackson gets blasted again, i'll be there. But maybe spending half of what Jeff is spending. I go to ride, not sit at the spa and chat with some big wig from texas who rides a few times a year. That or im off to Baker.
  8. hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  9. Simply because the drive is shorter from philly. Not because Blue is a better mountain in which my opinion it is not.
  10. http://adambarkerphotography.com Stuff is kind of expensive, but his shots are some of the best i've ever seen. If you don't want to drop that much coin, the Utah Ski poster is pretty dope, and i think it's around 20 bucks.

    help with new set up

After all the bad things i've heard, and read about. I never even considered it. Your one person that has been lucky enough to never have had a problem. And your probably the only person i've ever seen that actually had good things to say about the BOA system.

If your looking for a good all around binding, i'd really stay away from the C60. It's meant to be a freeride super stiff binding, not something you'd really want in the park. I've heard mixed things about Cartels.

Im going with Lib with BOA, I've heard horror stories about it. Stick with regular lacing, you have more customizable options with it, and if your lace breaks, just buy another 2 dollar pair of laces. If your BOA lace breaks, i hear it's a pain in the ass to fix. And for bindings, I hear the Rome 390's are pretty solid for all around use, I have the targa's, but have yet to ride them, but they are really customizable and feel real good. I got the targa's for around 150, so you could probably find 390's for cheaper. Could also go with a Burton Mission. I've had friends that rode these and loved them. http://www.evogear.com/outlet/snowboard-bi...ssion-2008.aspx For boots 32 makes a solid boot. Could probably score some 32 Lashed for around 100 bucks. Rode those all of last year, was happy with them, i just prefer something stiffer.

Do some research, look around at different online shops. Stop being lazy.
  15. I know of a few guys that do big prints of shots they've taken, but im not sure how much you want to spend.

  18. Rome Agent Rome Design Burton cargo pants 32 Tm two Boots Hestra gloves Oakley crowbars Rome Targa bindings Smith Holt helmet Yakima Rack Guess thats all for now.
  19. I was thinking about going to WP in March during my spring break. Looking like i already have something lined up for early Jan.
  20. I'd have to agree. Probably the best looking bump run i've seen in the poconos.
  21. Yeah well unfortunatly those times have come and gone. Even though our dollar is on the rise slowly. I just checked exchange rates 1.07 canadian to 1 american.
  22. Only thing is with those bars, you have to get different mounts that will cost you more money anyway. The standard mounts that come with the rack will fit the standard cross bars that are just round. Those bars and most other bars on cars are the weird long shape. If you go with Yakima you'll need something called the mighty mounts. Just about any roof rack holds three pairs of skis. Most are made to hold 4 or 6, so you have no problem there. About the other things looking goofy getting mounted to rails. It's actually not bad at all, the riser is only about an inch or 2 tall and the bar just sits in those. And remember if the bars are to long for what you want you can always just cut them...
  23. Answered your own question. All depends on the weather.

    Season Pass Price

Have to look at the size of companies. Vail corp gets a shit ton more business then a tiny resort like elk... Plus you are probably getting a student discount. There's a big difference when the resort is owned by a corporation as compared to private owners. Look at Jackson for example. I think the pass is something like 1600.
