If the snowboard is new, straight from factory you can do it a few times and allow the base to absorb as much was as possible. After that one wax cycle at a time should be enough.
-
Damn, We've been doing it all wrong for so long. Thats how your suppose to snowboard?
-
That can be said for just about every place in Pa. But it's all about marketing. And saying you have EXPERT terrain is a big thing i guess. Take Blue for example. Look at Razors Edge and Challenge... If anything they are a Blue square at most.... But they are labeled Double Black solely for the purpose so Blue can say they have EXPERT terrain...

You can win money from little contests and still not be pro. What about all the pro riders who don't ride contests at all? There are tons of them out there who'd rather film and such, and just don't like the contest vibe and competing in general. IE. Jeremy Jones. He'll occasionally ride in the Verbier Extreme.. But other than that, he's not much of a contest rider at all.

uh the general snowboard population i guess... I heard about it along time ago... There was a serious case of highbacks getting broken when burton released the Cartel binding with the locking flange. Chairlifts would crush the highback since it was locked in place.

Depending on where, and how you do it, and if you know anyone, you can do a trip out west for pretty cheap. I could easily do a ton of trips to VT if i didn't go west, but riding something that is sick, compared to average is worth the extra bills. And im heading up to jay is 2 weeks. Hopefully they get some snow.
-
Thats why they say, put your high back down... there's a reason for it... and you found out the hard way.

I've heard mixed things about the base cleaners. Personally i've never used them so i could be wrong, but it sounds like using a base cleaner every 3rd or 4th wax is to much. I've heard of using it maybe once or twice a season. Using it to often can do more harm then good. But thats just what i've read, could be wrong.

Waxing is very simple... Just heat the iron. Use a mid setting, if you see smoke turn the iron down because you are burning the wax. Just drip wax on the board, and iron it in. Let it cool for 30 minutes or so, then scrape until the board is nice and smooth.. It's a very simple concept.

I kind of disagree with that. But it is bringing a lot of morons to the sport, who think that they can do what they see in the x-games only to end up in the hospital.
-
I was there later in the day. Boilerplate at it's finest.
-
Talking about nut swinging. Since you bring up the points that because EVERYONE in videos does this and does that. (insert trick here) is instantly the coolest and most styled trick out there these days.... Better let up alittle, you might choke.
-
Damn aren't you just the coolest? I deleted because i was gonna say something more, but decided it just wasn't worth it in the end. Since what you say is the only thing that is correct.. BTW you get that new Iverson jersey to rock on the hill yet? Better get on that soon so you don't look like such a toolbox on the hill anymore.

Snowing hard here in philly. Roads are actually getting covered. Oh snap.
-
wow, you really are arrogant. and wrong... you must think highly of your opinions.
-
Yep, im gonna go put on my bandanna, get my headphones, my XXXXL jersey, go 2 bolt my stance. And head to the hill... so i can do lame layed out flips. Thanks for occupying my boredom though.
-
Dude no one really cares.... Keep on following those trends though, you probably look like every other clown on the hill. And videos.... I do read magazines.. So i must know something. Only videos that are worth it in my opinion are standard, absinthe and Volcom vids. Others are just filled with the same tech rail trick OVER and OVER again.
-
Your a moron im sorry. Shows just how original snowboarding has become... Lame. Because the pros do it, blah blah blah
-
Thanks for that, genius. You base what is cool and what is not, off the media. Great. That just makes you an expert on everything doesn't it? And if i saw one in the few that i've watched, chances are there are the same in other videos as well. I guess you don't understand that part of it do you?
-
WTF are you talking about, because i've seen 5-6 videos in the last 4 years and proved you wrong, im not qualified. And kid... HA. Take a look in the mirror...
-
Considering i've probably only seen maybe 5-6 videos TOPS in the last 4 years... I think you should get your head out of your ass.
-
Yeah im starting to think he doesn't know what a layed out backflip is. I think they look sick, and YES I HAVE SEEN A LAYED OUT BACKFLIP IN A VIDEO IN THE LAST 3-4 YEARS, so you can be quiet now. I think it was in Burton's The Process:3 If i remember correctly it was Mads Johnssen.
-
I don't really know what to say. Condolences go out to friends and family.

They have an indoor slope in Dubai if i remember correctly.
