It's kind of ironic when i was going down to the lower lot, i already see ambulances there, My thoughts were "Damn someone got f*cked up already." i pull into the lower lot and see Jon(toast). He tells me it's jeff in the ambulance and he has a broken leg... Get better man. Im sure i'll be talking to you soon about whats going on with the trip

Arrived at blue around 9ish. It was a bit cold and super windy. Rode with Trev and KT. Snow was sugary, and will probably remain that way for the rest of the day as i don't think it's going above freezing up there for the day. They were blowing on alot of the mountain and Burma looks like its either going to open today or tomorrow. I dunno what the hell kind of stuff fell from the sky yesterday up there but everything is glassed over with some mixture of ice/snow. Stuff is solid as a rock and can support cars.

lift tix for 2 days is 150, holy shit... I had a 2 day lift ticket 2 years ago it was around 110 or something. And wow, stowe is really starting to rape people on prices. 79 bucks for a day ticket...

Yes, but they got on board and accepted snowboarding when it got POPULAR. Not 20 years later... I don't know everything, but i do believe Taos is opening it's slopes to snowboarders because they need the money. If that wasn't the case it'd still be Skier's only. and never been touched by a snowboard? you don't think anyone has poached that shit before? gimme a break. I also wouldn't want to ride at a place that is still going to carrying around the mentality of skiers only. As it will because the hardcore locals there will still want it to be only skiers, thus us riders will still be shunned upon. To each his own though.

Why do skiers want to be like us then? Try and rip our style. Ride on skies that originated from snowboards. Get your own shit lamers.

Thats the first thing that came to my mind when i saw this. Seems like they are trying to save their place to. Im also with you on not caring about Taos or the other 3 resorts. Why support a resort that doesn't want us there to begin with?

They say it will all begin down here in Philly sometime after 1. I dunno what time your girls flight comes in, or what airport she is flying into. If it's Philly intl. They say the storm is suppose to hit anytime after 1. So it could get a little nasty by the time she comes in.

With the weathermen being so uncertain, and with every weather site saying something different. I wouldn't get your hopes up about this storm. Initially they were saying big things, but i think that low pressure system is moving further inland than they expected, and is pushing the storm further north + bringing us warmer temps. We'll see how it pans out, should know alot more about this one tomorrow.

i looked at weather.com/noaa/intellicast for palmerton. Noaa said 6-10. The other 2 sites said barely anything.

Wow.. Even with this storm being this close, no one has any clue to what it's doing. Some are saying 6-10 for blue, others are saying 1-2 or little to no accumulation...
