How do you figure it will cost someone 5 g's to poach a ski resort? Maybe 50-60 bucks tops for the lift ticket, or you could just hike up before the lifts even start turning and do it for free... And about not allowing snowboarders at those resorts in the future.. I could honestly care less, i can't speak for everyone but there are TONS of other resorts to ride that have better terrain then Alta, DV, Taos, and MRG. So we aren't missing out on shit to begin with, if anything it's those resorts missing out on the the profits of a sport that is growing at a TREMENDOUS rate. So who's really at a loss? And how is this getting burton an "image" it's a contest to see who can make the best video of poaching a snowboarderless resort... I don't see where you get your ideas from.

I don't think that video is actually one in the contest. It looks like it's been made by Burton, seeing as Jeremy Jones is in a bunch of the scenes.

You sound exactly like me. I have a whole slue of Burton gear, but as of lately in the past few years i've been fading away from burton. As there quality goes down and there prices go up. I've got 2 aK jackets, ak pants, ak pack, 2 pairs of figs, Hails, a Custom, and P1's. Ronin pants, burton 3l pants, a T6, and a R.E.D helmet. I agree with you on the aspect that they are putting a ton of money into the sport which i think is awesome. I just wish they'd put some of that money back into their product instead of outsourcing and getting their boards made in China.. I do like there contest of who can produce the best video of themselves poaching 1 of the 4 ski resorts that still don't allow snowboarding. I think thats awesome. The only reason im currently on a T6 is because i got it cheap. There is no way i'd pay 800 for it. It's a sick board, but worth 800? no way. Honestly i'd rather have a Neversummer, and that is coming next, but like you, im gonna ride my board until it's dead.

Like stated in Previous posts, because of BB's climate they are able to blow while other places aren't which is a problem. It's not that the other resorts don't want to blow snow, it's that they aren't able to because of the temp.

I agree. I was at boulder last night, and so many people were complaining about how icy it was... It's november be happy there is stuff to ride.

I actually hated that, and i thought it felt wierd. I agree with the Ride and Rome bindings. They have some very sick stuff out, and Ride has been making killer bindings forever. I ride the Ride SPi's and can't be happier.

They get a lot more natural snowfall then we do here....
