  1. I've been thinking about doing a VT roadtrip. Start at Jay Peak and just work my way down 100 south since most of the ski resorts are relativly close to that highway.
  2. Wow, learn to take a joke....
  3. "Ski Towns" are few and far between anymore, and these days they are becoming rediculously expensive to even live in anymore. Edit: and doug you must not be core enough, if your not willing to drop everything to ski all the time
  4. Wanna bum it for a few years? We'll be roommates... As for early season, i could see probably Sugarloaf/Sunday river opening first obviously because they are the furtherest north. Maybe Sugarbush. Im planning on making a few trips in november to ride, but of course that all depends on the weather. The weekend of Nov 24th i'll be in VT, so somewhere up there better be open.... Edit: Doug, im sure you could find a REAL job in some bigger city out west.. Sure you'd probably ski alittle less but not if you can find the right job. The skiing would be 1000x times better than riding Blue all the time anyway...
  5. The B/W pic of the lifts is very cool. I'd like to get a dslr, but there are just so many other things i want aswell, and ski trips out west arn't cheap
  6. Willing to sell just the board? If so, how much?
  7. Sick stuff. I like that dakine pack. Edit: i take it that board is a Un. Inc?

    New Name

    I liked "Big" Mountain.
  9. Thats what im looking for, I have i have a Custom, and a T6 which are pretty much do everything boards. I want something pretty much specifically for freeriding.
  10. Change of mind. Looking like a NS Titan for me.
  11. I say thats a safe bet.
  12. Looking like a Venture Zephyr 164. Customized Ride SPi's, and 32 lashed. When i want to ride something smaller i just use my T6, or Custom.

    2008 boards

Im looking for something big this winter, and it seems harder and harder to find longer boards these days. Probably around 165, thats not wide. most things i see that are over 160 are all wide.
  15. I go to school 5 days a week, and work 6 days a week.... but whatever. Hopefully that'll change once winter comes.
  16. I drive 150 miles roundtrip and have a pass.
  17. Jeff, doing razors and challenge all day long is also boring. There is no variety. Switchback is probably the best trail blue has because of the change in pitches. JF atleast gets creative with there trails, and doesn't groom and just let the snowpiles build up. Plus the grooming at blue is trash.
  18. I heard he tryed to huck a 7 off a 50 ft cliff...... onto hardpack.. Actually i have no idea
  19. No, i wouldn't. Because of where i live, i don't have many options other than Blue or JF. Camelback and Bear Creek don't interest me at all compared to blue or JF. Picking one for the season is fine, and saves a shit ton of money.
  20. I read them alot more than i read what is here, but anyway. If you want to bust your ass in the summer you can make a ton of money. When i was out there i was talking to a guy who lived in Jackson during the winter and CA in the summer. He said alot of guys come to Jackson in spring/summer swing hammers all summer long, as in contruction, and don't work all winter long. So im sure it's easily done if you want to work for it.. In my opinion the hardest thing to do is find a good place to live in jackson. Property value out there has been soaring through the roof. I also talked to a local that was living with 7 other roommates in a 2 bedroom apt with each of them paying around 250/month. So thats almost 2gs for a 2bdrm place. Edit: I have the early special for teh pass sitting on my desk, but im debating whether or not to buy a pass for blue this year. I was thinking maybe JF/BB. I had a blast when i was there last year.
  21. I heard working at JHMR is definaly not worth it for the pass though and you won't ski as much as you think. I hear it's better to just sack up and spend the 1600 on the pass and work a night job somewhere.
  22. I don't think theres a problem with working in a Ski shop... Better than sitting at a computer.
  23. The owner of First Tracks Productions used to post on the Burton Message Board, Was a really cool dude, who always made sick videos.
  24. That can go both ways Jeff. Sure it can be dislocated easier, but broken bones after rehealed also can break easier..
  25. No scars from a dislocated hip. Unless there is surgury involved which i don't think there will be. Get better soon bro, Luckily theres a nice long summer ahead of you...
