Of course for racing it would kill speed. There are some riders that will drag a hand in Pow Pow, but sometimes it's hard not to when your up to your waist in snow already.

No doug we don't really touch the ground much. I mean you can on a big carve but it's not nessesary. Only when getting up from strapping in. But i strap in on the lift most of the time so i don't have a problem there. There are some riders like RDM that knuckle drag everytime he's doing a big hit(i dunno why)

I have Burton Gore-Tex Mittens. Removeable liners so when it gets warmer your don't over heat, plus they're waterproof, and since there gore-tex they are super breathable. Some days it'd be around 40, and id still rock these and i never really had any problems with sweaty hands. They were 60 I also have Burton Approach Gloves. Good Gloves, Comfortable, and warm. Used them in some Below 0 days and didn't have any problems. They were 45
  4. Snow does get dirty, especially when there pushing it off the grass... And damn, they must of not had much of a base if you look at the first pic papa posted on may 4th or something compared to less than 3 weeks later, its all gone
  5. I need to get a trampoline
  6. Right now it's 45% open, i dunno about in late june.

    New Snowboard!

If your looking for some good park oriented bindings, Maybe Burton cartels(Only if you like forward lean, i hate it so i got P1's instead.)
  8. No kidding the topic is about 3 years old. Some of the pictures are crazy. A guy standing at the base of the lift up to his chest in snow.
  9. http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4378 Those guys seem like they were stoked.. Lucky bastards.
  10. I never said i had trouble staying on top. But the 2 extra cm's is just a bonus with the stiffer board. My only real question was would i notice much of a difference in 2cms. I can hold my own in the deep shit.
  11. The only reason i want that board is because it's alot stiffer then what i ride now. I know it won't affect float that much but it'll be alittle better then what i have now, but yet i won't sacriffice the manuverability in the trees(when i travel i do ALOT of tree riding) When ever i try to really dig in my edges on a hardcarve, my board just bends in half pretty much.
  12. Im looking to get a freeride board. Im looking at a 06 Custom X 160(for 360 instead of 600) Would i notice much of a difference between 2cm's? Right now i ride a 158 I want longer but not much longer, but i still want to be able to whip it through the tree's and the 158 was great for that, but didn't float as well in really deep stuff. So would i see much of a difference in a 2cm increase in board length as far as manuverabiltiy?

    New Snowboard!

Mammoth is shooting for July 4th. Northstar is already closed. Only places still open are squaw, alpine meadows, and Mammoth.
  14. Is that a bad thing, it's better then smelling like S*it.
  15. I'd be nice if it would snow here and stay alittle longer then a day... And when it dumps here it's normally wet heavy snow, not nice light stuff.
  16. The east sucked except for this Up to my waist and thats only at the begining of the hike. It only got deeper from there as we went further up the Chin
  17. Many places in the U.S/BC had epic winters. Whistler had one of it's biggest snowfall months during january this year, putting them well over 600 inches for the season, Tahoe got blasted late season, J-Hole had a above average snowfall this year to. Just us in the East got dicked over.
  18. Yeah on other boards people from NZ are saying they already have more snow then they did last year While were up north suffering 70-80 degree weather, and it's only gonna get worse before it gets better.
  19. You'll be lucky to get 7500 for it. What you were offered on ebay is probably around the best you'll do. After all it is a neon, and they arn't the best of cars, regardless of what it has done to it, that car will still run probably a 14 if not higher.
  20. Id rather hike tucks then ride these hills we have here. 45 Degree slope sustained is better then anything that Pa has to offer, plus it's a great experience to be out there.
  21. I believe brokeskier was suppose to hike tucks at the end of april, or early may.
