This happens when the rail is in bad condition, or the rail is made of a soft material, or you land on the rail wrong. I keep pretty sharp edges and haven't had any problems when the above things are fine. If you're a hardcore jibber doing handrails etc, then defintely detune. However, if you want to stand a chance of actually holding an edge on an icey black, detuning is not the wayh to go.

I think its gonna get real bad at all the mountains around 12, which is when I plan on leaving. I may head back up in the evening to CB, but we shall see. Can't wait till the 3rd when all the vacationers go back to work/school and I have the mountain to myself for a week

Maybe they feel with a new coarse they can devote razors edge, or another coarse to nastar. Likewise, if they have a new coarse they may feel it opens up room on another coarse for a terrain park. Maybe it will just be a regular trail, they are always fun

Yeah, it doens't look so weird anymore, it looks black, but a more normal black. Ok, so my bro bought this p-tex to repair his base, and I guess he read somewhere on the internet to use a candle, and just drip the p-tex in. So I give him a hand, we end up setting the p-tex on fire, after being on fire for about 30 secs the p-tex finally starts dripping, but when it drips its got all this black ash like burnt stuff with it. So basically, I'm if this is supposed to happen (I assume not), and what to do to prevent this.

I was wondering the same thing, the only problem is they said that there would be 2 parks this year, a beginner park at and an advanced park, so I dont know why they would swap the trail up, that the park is on.

Don't know about the half pipe, heard the park was sick though from someone who actually has skied there this season.
